UGH! References and reviews mini rant
I finally finished my website and received an email within a half hour of advertising, but now I'm faced with a new problem: reviews. I guess I've been focusing all this time on how to verify if the guy is safe, that I never realized how reluctant he would be to book time with me without reviews!! All the sites I requested membership on require reviews and references. How in the world is a girl supposed to start in this business on her own?! Ugh. So frustrating.
Re: UGH! References and reviews mini rant
i hate reviews -and those guys are usually cheap too - please be careful with those sites
Re: UGH! References and reviews mini rant
Im starting out too and it is hard. But Im going slow. No real rush. I've been thinking outside the box and referred a guy to my twitter page. He read up on my tweets and convos with other people. That seemed to convince him that I was legit. And then another I had to reveal my camming persona to get him to go ahead. Didn't really want to do that. I like to keep shit separate but it was a lot of money. I don't have any reviews for escorting yet. And truthfully I don't want any. I know it makes things more difficult, but I wanna stay under the radar and get quality guys who come back for more.
Re: UGH! References and reviews mini rant
I've never understood the point of twitter but I'm glad it works for you. I wouldn't know what to say or how to get followers or who to follow or anything! I'm like you; I don't want reviews--especially after reading the pros and cons in another thread--but to get a membership for so many screening sites, that's the only way to prove you're legit, so it's a necessary evil to have at LEAST two. Otherwise I have no way to look these guys up (but please PM me if you know of any).
I actually just had my first client last night. YAY!!! It was sooo easy, I was sitting in the hotel room afterwards thinking, holy hell, THIS is what I was so worked up about?? He said he'd write me a review. Whether or not a certain site accepts it... well, that's out of my hands.
Nikki, you're completely right: I had a guy email me about ten times today setting up appointments, then acting confused when I emailed him back, then changing his mind, claiming all the while he was whitelisted, when a simple Google search pulled up about four different blacklists he was on once he finally gave me his phone number. Thank goodness I had you to warn me!! :)

Same problem for the past day. No review = no credibility. I had a person try to haggle 100$ for a 1 hr appointment and then my full rate for another hour if it went well + a good review. Like, honey, have you lost your mind?
I'm glad you waited it out, I felt the same way after ha! Exhilarating to say the least.
Re: UGH! References and reviews mini rant
I don't escort, I do erotic massages and every time I search myself up on google I don't have any reviews. Lol it's pretty funny, I've been doing this for almost two years now, not full time but I don't starve or anything. I have a good clientele base and a lot of repeat customers actually. It probably just means that my good clients don't frequent those reviews board and I am quite happy about that. Guys on those sites all seem to look for ''value for their money''.
As for starting out without any reviews, having trouble finding customers... What I know many girls did is, working for an agency, establishing a good reputation, before going independent... Using the same name obviously. That's just an idea though, it doesn't mean you can't do it another way if you want to start out independent and don't want to work for an agency.

I dealt with that when I first started and had no reviews. I remember one guy made me so mad, I was tempted to see him just so I could kick him in the face I was so mad. But yeah, it took me awhile, but there is *always* going to be the type of guys who love the thrill of a risk and will TOFFT. Once you have one review, then those who need to see *at least* one will be willing to see you. Once you have 3 reviews it gets amazingly easier.
But yeah, I think I saw 2 guys my first month, neither of them liked writing reviews, so it took me almost a month and a half before I got my first one...and 2 months before I had 3 reviews and was able to get on the verification sites. Ive been doing this for um..about 2yrs now? And I think on all the review sites combined, have maybe 30 reviews. Not a whole heck of a lot, but its not about how many.
Be patient, it'll come, and remember we ALLLLLL started from scratch so while it feels like a catch 22 it isnt really, jsut a matter of patience :)
Re: UGH! References and reviews mini rant
Wow, now I feel really lucky. He actually did write a review for me, and it was accepted just this morning! What's slightly embarrassing is that he could tell I'm new. I wonder what I did that tipped him off? It's probably my whole persona... if not that, then my incredibly clumsy attempts to do something all women in this field should probably be able to do in their sleep. Oh well. Maybe that whole 'newbie' vibe will be my niche? Lol
Re: UGH! References and reviews mini rant
YaY! Congratulations! Seeee! You're on your way! ;D
And yeah, who knows what you did that he could tell, maybe you were a bit nervous or something, who knows. But it gets easier and you'll be a pro in no time lol. I was really lucky for my first date...when I walked in he asked me if I liked music, put some tunes on his laptop and we danced around for awhile while he was cracking jokes and just being hilarious. :D By the time we got to other things, we'd already had so much fun and was totally comfortable with each other that it was more like a one night stand than a paid date. I remember thinking on my way home, holy shit, did I really just get paid for that? This is AWESOME! :D
