Re: Body rubs
Hey Lita, and thank you too!
Hmm...VerifyHim, eh? I'm always frustrated because so many of these reference systems are just not active in Australia.
I definitely understand the meeting first would put people off. One hour's notice? Wow! I'm not even sure how that would WORK because I work 30 hours a week at my office job, and can only do these body rubs when I'm home a few afternoons a week. No nights (my partner's home), no weekends (same reason).
Oh good, I was hoping to do a website (I'm working on one right now actually, a free one) that listed my packages. Ok, so NO discussion? Not even when they're naked and on the table!? lol. I wasn't intending to discuss anything at all until they were actually right there and ready.
What session and how long do they want are the only questions? Ok. Will do. I need all the advice I can get and I am going to follow it, most definitely.
So ok...if the meeting offsite idea is bad, how else do I screen IF VerifyHim isn't any good in Australia?
-
Re: Body rubs
Oh my I didn't take into account that prostitution is legal in Australia (is it legal)?! Do you know if bodyrubs are legal over there?
Okay so in the US, no independent provider discusses extra's but I still recommend you do packages. It looks more professional. You can do it before a session, but maybe for some guys they will feel it kills the mood.
VerifyHim isn't a reference system as in you contact the girl to see if she saw him before. It's more of a database that collects information to see his address, legal issues, work place etc. But I can figure out for you if it works in Australia. I am pretty sure it's only popular right now in Canada and US.
However a good screening system that usually only works to avoid cops is to ask the guy for ID along with employment verification like a business card or work stub or business credit card. That way you know where he works and who he really is. I do this for all my sessions and most guys are ok with it
The 1 Hour's notice I guess doesn't really matter now. Most cops in the US try to rush appointments so they want to meet girls in less than an hour and are usually not willing to wait.

Re: Body rubs
you can email VerifyHim.com at [email protected]
ask them if their database extends to Australia. They are very helpful!

Re: Body rubs
Heh, yes, licensed brothels are legal here, but street / home prostitution is not, and offering "adult" services from home (unlicensed premises) for money is not. I know already never to use the word "massage" as I'm not a registered or qualified masseuse.
If anyone wanted to rush me and wasn't willing to wait, then I wouldn't see him. As I said, I'm not needing to see a lot of customers. I just need a few. And really only ONE at first, to see how it goes.
In terms of requesting ID and employment verification, if I set up a website, and in any ads I put out there, I don't give a number but JUST the website and on that site is everything they need to know (packages, email address, phone number, etc), and I request for the verification docs to be sent to me, is that a good idea? I wouldn't just want to have them show up at my house with their documents (if they actually had them of course), because then they'd still know where I live. This is my biggest issue. I live with my partner and I don't want ANY disruption to her peaceful life. It's not her fault I have no money. lol. I don't want customers buzzing at all hours or showing up unannounced.
I did also wonder about killing the mood by discussing things at the time. Yeah...I can see how it'd do that. I also don't want to appear like I'm sort of trying to squeeze more money out of them by waiting until they're "excited" and then mentioning extras. It seems a bit tacky I suppose.

Re: Body rubs
Oh, and thank you for that email address! I will check it out now and email them if I can't figure it out myself from the site.
I love this forum. Everyone is so nice and helpful.

Re: Body rubs
I should say that every provider I have ever seen has followed LitaDuBarry's advice on not discussing specifics. Basically, upon initial contact, we work out day/time, how long, which service (FBSM or Nuru or FBSM+ or whatever), and how she wants me to confirm my appointment the day of. When I get there, we also don't discuss specifics, unless it's a fetish session, in which case we discuss the fetishes -- that seems to be universally be an area where more detailed discussion is welcome.
On ala carte pricing, here you only see different types of services ... FBSM, Nuru, FBSM+, tantra, Elysium, etc., with the latter 4 all being a price uptick from the base FBSM. FBSM with fetish used to be a no-charge thing, but now about half the providers have made it a package with a $20-$40 uptick. But these are arguably different types of services, no one here does the type of package Lita mentions -- that is, just one style of service (FBSM) with packages around bikini, topless, bottomless, keep my panties, etc. But things are just different in LA than SF. If you do go ala carte, I'd rather read about all the packages in the ad, per Lita's advice; I'd be pretty irritated if I didn't find out that there's all these different prices for things until I got there.
An example of the cute things she might do to get extra for something: if you can make a client believe he got some YMMV, he'll almost always be thrilled. I've heard things like, "I usually don't take off my bottoms until we've met at least 3 or 4 times, but I'm having fun and feel so comfortable with you." Ya, I know it's a line, but I'm willing to believe it anyway while I'm on that table, because it makes me feel good, and the YMMV nature of it leads me more likely to tip more, which is where she gets her extra money. course, it's a gamble, not everyone tips. But again, if ala carte style packages work in your city, then you can consider just putting them in your ad like Lita said

Re: Body rubs
Ahhh ok, so those sorts of things sort of make some guys want to TIP more. But they've still already paid at the beginning of the session? I'm very wary of not accepting the money until after in case I do the rub and then they refuse to pay. That'd be ANNOYING! :)
I am making a website listing the packages. Basic (lingerie), topless, fully nude, and then a nude one with partial body slide and very basic mutual and respectfully requested mutual touch.
Yeah, I can see that discussion about fetishes would be welcomed, and I'm very happy to do that too, but I will not discuss anything else at all. When someone wants to contact me to book, they will tell me which package they want at that time and that'll be it. Like package 1, 2, etc. Does that sound better? I am learning fast how to best do all of this, heheh.
Thanks again so much for your help. :)

Re: Body rubs
so you can ask them if they send you the verification via email, but I think that might scare them and they would probably think you are a scammer.
If you would like instead ask them for a picture of their face and then you get to decide. I have never done this, but I know of a girl that does it. And if she doesn't think he's the guy in the picture she will simply just not open the door.
I understand the concern you have of scary guys knowing where you live, but that's kinda the risk that's taken. You have an advantage if you live in a high rise apartment that has security. That's how I've been able to work incalls without a problem. Just be careful of noisy neighbors.
-
Re: Body rubs
Ah yes...I wish I DID live in a high rise apartment! I am on the ground floor of a 3 storey apartment block (no elevators). GROUND FLOOR, yeah. This is why I'm nervous. Anyone can access our buzzer and if the front stairwell doors are left open, they can access our actual front door too. And our balcony. *shudder*
I just don't know if hearing them leave a voicemail msg and then seeing a picture of them would be enough to know if they'd be ok or not. Many a psycho looks fairly decent. Many a weirdo sounds presentable on the phone. You know? lol
-
Re: Body rubs
In my area, there are a very small number of escorts who ask for a headshot, and no FBSM providers request this. I wouldn't do it under any circumstances -- too easy to use google image search or tineye to match that shot to my facebook or linkedin or instagram account, and from there, she can find out everything about me, including where I live, etc.
Yes, for first session, pay up front, hope for a tip on the back end.
-
Re: Body rubs
you can try to protect yourself by getting a taser and pepper spray in case anything happens. Also you can set up cameras around the apartment inside and outside.
If they leave a voicemail you can try that, but I think answering the phone would be just as effective of detecting weird guys. That way you get more of a feel of them with the questions they are asking, or if they sounds nervous, or if they have a horrible accent or if they are not even able to cooperate with your calls and questions. First impressions should tell you a lot.
I've had very weird guys ask me inappropriate questions and I just hang up and block them. I've also had people with horrible ghetto accents and some men who sounded like they were black and lived in the hood or something. So I just block those and dont bother with them. Just as a personal choice I think talking to them would work in your favor instead of just a voicemail.
-
Re: Body rubs
Thank you.
Radius, I definitely see your point. MOST men I suppose are ok, right? (please tell me I'm right!!!!! lol) And I mean...as a normal person myself, if I responded to a body rub ad and simply wanted a quick and easy fun time, I would be insulted and annoyed (and put off) if I had to show ID, send employment forms, etc. I'd just want it to be simple and as anonymous as possible.
I suppose the reason I was leaning towards having them leave a voicemail msg was so I could tell how they sounded BEFORE they talked directly to me. In case they got weird or something upon speaking with me. I don't know.

Re: Body rubs
Are you not willing to go to their hotels ? I am mostly outcall but I work in a very unique area ( a very small tourist cluster of medium - high end hotels ). Doing a few as outcalls would get you going right away but if that's a risk you don't want to take , I completely understand that. You can't deny that there is some risk every time you enter a persons hotel room that you don' t know. Always get the $ up front.
No Asian massage parlors around ? The trick to getting in ( at least here ) is to go introduce yourself IN PERSON ( do not call or email ) and say that you do massage and have your own customers and are looking for an incall.
-
Re: Body rubs
Hmm. I would actually prefer going to a hotel except how would i get my massage table up there? I'd also be nervous that 7 men or something would be waiting there. Here, there are hundreds of hotels...and also i don't drive so i'd have to spend money on cabs...
-
Re: Body rubs
I work on the bed. I don't carry a massage table around. I'm getting out of doing this and haven't done the happy ending thing but I do massage at varying stages of undress .
I didn't have a car for over a year . I would take the bus 30 minutes to the tourist center of town and then wait for calls . I'm not sure how it is where you are, but here it's all about INSTANT . Like another poster said .... most clients would prefer to get an appointment within the hour. I require at least one hour booked ahead and don't care if it loses clients because I'm not going to run around like a crazy person ( and I drive now so it makes it a lot easier ). If you need two hours ahead or whatever ... you can ask for it on your ad . Just realize that not everyone will read things closely at all.
Something that might work for you is to ask them to email you screening info and then call shortly after. I have had people who send their linked in / facebooks even though I don't think I would as a client. My friend and I used to check their ID's in the lobby and text each other their name and license number . You can also ask for full names and verify it's them by calling the hotel and asking for their room ( you'll need the first and last name to be put through ).
You'd have to assess your own risks. If you use my methods and get in with an AMP, it may be worth it to keep safety high. There are always other people around. Even though you pay them ( and make less of course because of it ) , it's minimal risk.

Re: Body rubs
Hmm...so you've been ok with working on the bed and not a table? Have you ever found any of the men more aggressive or expectant of more than what you're willing to offer because they're on a bed and not a more "professional" table?
I would be definitely willing to do hotel out calls if I could just use the bed! As long as it's ok...
I've actually got a job already, except it's not till next APRIL would you believe!! I have been a member of a particular fetish forum for over 10 years and several people know me there and like me (a lot, heheh), and I posted a thread asking if anyone in my local area would be interested and blah, blah. I got a PM from the moderator, warning me of solicitation (which I must say was a bit embarrassing), but she didn't remove my thread (yay!) and I got a few very positive replies, and one of them is a long term member of the forum who I've known casually for years, who is very excited but lives 3 states away and won't be here till April. But that's fine. We'll be in his hotel room for the session (if it happens of course), and just on the bed.
Now I'm re-thinking the out calls thing in a positive way.
Ok, another question for everyone here who does out calls to hotels...have you ever had any really dangerous situations like you arrive and there are 10 men waiting there? This is a bit of an unusual situation I'm sure, but it still worries me. I know there are ways to try and minimise the risk...like once you know their name you can call the hotel and their room and stuff, but I guess it still doesn't stop other men from being in that room waiting for you. Although it'd be less likely I suppose...if they're staying there under their real names...they'd obviously get in trouble with the police, etc.
I just wish there WAS a massage parlour I could work at...but there really does not seem to be.
Oh! And in terms of the hour's notice, or 2 hour's notice, etc. I'd be ok with this BUT I have to work at my office job 30 hours a week and Monday - Wednesday is full time, so I am only free 2 days a week in the afternoons. This is the only reason why, for in calls, I'd need more notice than an hour. Unless it was on those particular days. Then it'd be fine as I'd just hope and assume I'd be having appointments and so I'd be ready.
In terms of not driving, yeah...I live a 10 minute walk from the tourist centre here and there's a bus that takes just a few minutes so that'd be ok for short notice on my non-office job days. I was more concerned about carting the massage table around, but if the bed idea is ok, then that's not a problem anymore. My only other concern was if someone was at a hotel a long distance away. The area where I live is a coastal city that stretches along a long main highway and I know all too well how long it takes to get from one end to the other on the bus, and how expensive a taxi is for those distances. But MOST of the tourists here tend to stay right near me, which is good.
I really suck, don't I? lol. Everything is so difficult in my situation!

Re: Body rubs
Some guys always want a table, but I'm fine with a bed. For the guy, the biggest problem with the bed is his back is arched and he has to turn his head. Just not the perfect position for a massage, even an erotic one. A bed-mounted face cradle will solve most of that and make the experience a TON better and more memorable for him: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/comfortstore_2268_15813884 That face cradle and the metal part that mounts under the mattress can fit in a bag, I'm sure will not arouse suspicion the way hauling an entire table around will. And you can take it to outcalls if you do any. BTW, I just got the above picture by googling "massage face cradle for bed", you can shop around, but probably worth getting a decent one.
For you, the problem with a bed massage is it's harder to keep correct posture, and giving any kind of halfway decent massage put stress on the arms, shoulders, and back, especially if you're in a weird position. But, that's just the way it is, I'm sure you'll figure out how to position yourself so that your back doesn't start aching.

Re: Body rubs
Have someone you call when you arrive at the outcall location ( in the room in front of the client ) and have them call back and check on you - I work agency and that is one of the things we do - and I would never put explicit services on my website or anywhere that they could be connected back to me and used against me - my 2 cents
-
Re: Body rubs
Yes, that's a good idea...I do have one friend I can call. Thanks for that idea. :)
So...if you don't describe explicit services on your website, or in the advertisements, or in person with the client before, during or after the session...HOW do you work out what they want and what you're going to do!? lol
-
Re: Body rubs
So ... did ya do it ? :)
^ ( for your question above ) .... try to take a different attitude in that spending time with you and receiving one of your wonderful body rubs is enough of a selling point without getting caught up on specifics. I do VERY little back and forth with customers and I still get business. I simple only see the ones who respond to my ad offering " bikini body rub " or " topless body rub " . If they want to see me and see exactly how the session will go they can become a customer by starting with a basic session and moving forward from there.
