Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
Im looking for a place to move to and want a house but have considered an apartment so I dont have to worry about a yard or maintenance but not sure how I feel about camming in an apartment. Being heard by neighbors and internet issues possibly have me concerned so I am hoping to hear from those who have experience to help me with the pros and cons on this so I can make a better choice on housing.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I would say it is not ideal but not all apartments are created equal. In my place I am certain I can be heard but I will put sound on in other areas of my place. I also place pillows and the floor of my door and close all my windows. I have been here for three months and no one has acted like they know anything about what I am doing and I see my neighbours on a regular basis. Best of luck with this.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
When I was camming and living in an apartment I made sure my unit was on the end. Didn't want my bedroom/camming room sharing any walls with neighbors. Also look for double paned windows. I also purchased acoustic panels. You can make your own or get ones that are pretty.
Also not giving two fucks what you neighbors think helps a lot. ;D

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I also had neighbors stealing cable, so my Internet was shit. Then again I was living in a city and my neighborhood kept it real.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
Im not sure I can act like I dont care what others think since they will see my toddler too. Some houses are cheaper than some apartments and vise versa. I have this nagging feeling that getting an apartment is not the best move and maybe just needed confirmation from you ladies : ) I can wait another month and get a nice little house instead. I will feel much better.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
Houses are better. You could also find a landlord who takes care of the lawn service. Mine do, which is awesome. I hate mowing the lawn.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
Yea Im not putting a lawn mower on my amazon wishlist but its an idea lol

I totally get that especially with a child. If I had an option I would choose a house over an apartment anyway. Also, because the yards are great for kids too. I actually live in a neat complex where I have a yard right outside my place but most don't. I say getting a house will allow you to be more comfortable. I fond that sometimes I will start worrying about being heard etc... and it really brings down the quality of my show when I do.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I live in an apartment and have been camming in here, I do not have anyone attached to me except the people above, but I also find they are never home, but I also don't care what they hear, it's probably only the spankings anyway.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
It depends on the apt! You just have to be really picky, but ideal camming apartments are out there! I live in one, finally. I've lived in several apts since I started camming, and none were as great as this one.
You just need to make sure your bedroom has no shared walls. My current bedroom has no shared walls unless you count the neighbors upstairs. Find one set up like mine... for example, my bedroom borders: the bathroom, the building hallway (which is blocked off even more by my closet and an elevator), a floor to ceiling window that faces the street, and the last wall borders air outside because this is a corner unit. Below me is a parking garage, and so the flooring is cement.
I've lived in big cities, so apartments are unavoidable for me. Plus, I prefer smaller spaces. You just have to look around! Don't go with a studio. Don't go with a place with a bunch of shared walls. Don't go with a place where your door is really close to your neighbors because they might leave theirs open and throw parties. With neighbors, its a gamble, so you'll just have to wait til you move in to see if they are quiet or not.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
Indeed one needs to be a bit careful about camming from certain apartments. After all, from a technical standpoint, you are conducting an 'adult business' out of that apartment ... something that could potentially get you evicted in the best case, or potentially busted for violating zoning laws in the worst case, should nosey neighbors become an active factor. Adding a child to the equation ups the risk level even more ( i.e. Child Protection typically takes a dim view of minor children legally residing at a location where an adult business is being operated ).
There is no question that renting a free-standing house virtually eliminates the nosey neighbors risk ! However, it does not eliminate nosey landlord risk, so pay particular attention to the landlord's 'personality' when evaluating houses for rent.

OR, you could live in a gay area like I do. No one gives a damn, and they just assume that you have a lot of sex lol.
On a side note, concerning Melonie's post: I completely agree. Evaluate the landlord. Wasn't there a girl on here whose landlord just kind of came into her apartment and got her evicted because they saw all of her equipment? Be careful of those things!

Seconded! Any big liberal city too. No one really cares. Its almost expected lol. But with that, comes the fact that you might end up having really loud neighbors since no one really cares. That's why its important to make sure your bedroom is isolated away from shared walls, or you at least need the ability to room-hop if it gets loud in one room.

I've seen some girls say they edited their bank (or Payoneer) statements with a free program called PDFescape. Or, if you know anyone who knows a landlord, you could try to get in with that landlord, and may not even need to show proof of income because your friend can vouch for you to the landlord. The latter is what happened to me.

I blacked out the information so all they could basically see was the dates on the statement, my name and how much money there was and they asked no questions.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I have always cammed in an apartment my first place was a bachelor apartment so yes you could hear everything and I was on the first floor near the stairs. Now I am a in 1 bedroom in the middle ish of the floor on the 7th floor I can always hear kids running up and down the hallway I am still not sure which floor those running kids are on. I hear my neighbours having sex all the time sometimes is comical other times it wakes me up at night. because I think he is in the bachelor and my room is beside his unit honestly it's not something I worry about because once I am in my home even if its an apartment I don't worry about it.
I am not asking my neighbours to keep it down when they are having loud sex and I am sure they are not going to ask me the same thing, hearing your neighbours is part of living in close housing.
I use create pay stubs for cam girls and job letters $50 an hour. as far as I know whatever I created got them their housing. I also remember creating my own job letters and pay stubs when I moved into this apartment 5 years ago.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
You don't have to be that loud to do well on cam either. I've seen lots of top girls speak in a normal-low tone of voice and have non-screaming orgasms.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I really wouldn't worry about it too much. I started camming when I was living with roommates (two young guys, to boot) and it was never an issue.
To help keep noise down you can use a draft-stopper (I went the stoner route and just stuffed a rolled up towel under the door) and play music when you're on cam. There's also a lot of things you can do with furniture to soak up sound.
Of course, if you can get a house for the same price, that's a safer bet. But everywhere I've lived houses are $500-2000 more per month than comparable apartments and I don't want any prospective camgirls reading this thread to think they need to have their own house to cam or anything.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I've been camming in a 400sq ft apartment from underneath a loft bed. Haven't had a lot of problems yet other than the obvious lack of space.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I have cammed in a motel and a basement so yes you can cam anywhere but I think I will go with a house soon as I figure out my proof of income. I have my money in 3 different places so maybe I can put it all in my bank and show a statement and be done with that problem.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
I cam in an apartment. I don't do anything special like line my door or windows. I'm pretty sure they hear me, it just never bothered me. Obviously it doesn't bother them either, as I've had no complaints.

Re: Thoughts on Camming in an Apartment
Plus I wanted to add some cam models use headset microphones.
