You're right! Younger men do! I was at a pizza joint with a bunch of friends and I went up to get a slice and a beer. The bartender carded me. He was really surprised. Turned out he was studying to be a fitness trainer,so we had that in common. Then I got my food and forgot about him. He passed me his number...on a Paper, before I left. He was 24. Very fit, cute, but noooo........
Make your $$ off those youngins', Sam! You go!
I just turned 100. :).
By the way, thank you to all the mature dancers who went before me. I don’t think I’d been brave enough to keep dancing if it weren’t for my mature dancer friends. I’d probably work a shitty day job and kiss everyone’s ass just to please everyone but myself. Love you glitter tribe; If we listened to what society said we’d all just shrivel up and die at 25...LOL.
Also, what do you tell clubs when you are applying out of state? Is honesty and pictures the best policy. I know on paper my age might make people leery of hiring me, but I’m one of the best hustlers in the club.
I used to dance from age 20-32 or so. Dancing was a huge part of my life. I am 41 now (scary thought!) and suddenly I am thinking about dancing again, but I am scared to death due to my age. I used to dance all over the east coast, and auditions were nothing to me since I never got rejected and always got hired on the spot. Do you think it's possible to go back to dancing at my age? I'm much more insecure now. My body is perfect, almost better now than when I was younger cause I work out like a beast, but my face has deteriorated. I feel like I need an under eye lift or something :O lol.
Are there any clubs with girls of my age in Vegas or Phoenix? I feel like I used to "own it", but now I wish I had a mommy to hold my hand and reintroduce me to the business 😂
It can’t hurt. Worst people can say is no.
A lot of the younger dancers look out of shape and don’t do their hair or makeup now. It’s amazing I remember 10 years ago the girls looked so much better...I mean there are some big name clubs where this is an exception I’m sure. But most of the average strip clubs don’t have the girls they used to have. I think a hot older dancer would blow away many of these 20 years olds in 2018.
I'm 38 and just went back after a 6-year break. If you're hot, age doesn't matter. Dance while you can, because you won't always be physically capable of it. Maybe start at a smaller club, day shift or dive while you get your hustle back on point--that's what I'm doing.
Well I've basically outed myself as low maintenance on here. That being said, I'll agree on a lot of younger dancers not being in shape at all. I think in this business being in shape or working towards it is the least you can do. I can confirm that usually the older dancers I see have killer bodies comparatively lol.
I wish you could hold my hand for a sec and reintroduce me to the business ;) It's funny how I was sooo confident in this industry. I knew all the major clubs on the east coast and wasn't afraid of walking into a club. Now I'm on the west coast and know nobody. I wish I had a connection here that could encourage me and could tell me what clubs I could start out in (grandma clubs? Lol). I agree, most 20 year olds don't look that great. I watched this show called "strippers" on Netflix and some girls' bodies were not that great at all- all they have is youth (aka fat on legs and face) and that's it. Maybe I should get a fat transfer and go back to hustling haha
By the way, there is this black chick on that Netflix show, she is 41 and just started dancing. I loved her attitude, she was so confident despite her age and being new to the business. That's something to be admired I think.
^^^ I think what a women does with her body is no one’s damn business. The business my have a brand and I don’t think it’s sexist to reject a dancer because she’s doesn’t fit that brand. I would never take it personally if someone rejected me.
What I have an issue is with people judging a woman—period.
I get asked about marriage and kids and when I say I’m divorced and no kids-oh my fuck! Now add that I’m not a collage age dancer! I’m so glad people are well mannered enough to not say what they are really thinking because I already know what they are thinking!
How I want to live my life is MY choice and I don’t owe anyone an explanation.
So thank you ladies. I would be insane without you gals.
If a woman really wants to strip at 50 more power to her, but I definitely wouldn’t want to do that for survival at that age.
Im def gonna try dancing again once i lose a few lbs & this covid mess ends. Id love to try dancing again bc i miss the hustling & cash in hand aspect. Im 37 & feel sexier than I did in my 20s, plus im all natural and guys love my big round ass & large Cs ;)
Well, no I don’t think so. However, when I started dancing at the age of 24, I didn’t see myself dancing beyond 30...but I find myself to be more attractive than ever now... :)
If you’re happy and making money that’s all that matters.
That makes me feel better I was thinking of starting at 28 lol!
