Nooo way lol I go through enough with my own safety , there is no way I would be able to sleep at night being responsible for the safety of other women. I would be in a constant state of panic attack, and so cautious that no one would ever pass screening :D
No.
Prostitution = Misdemeanor
Pimping/Pandering = Felony
^^^ What she said, but not sure if it applies to Canada where I think the OP is. ** Disclaimer / Unsolicited advice from a dude... *** With that said there are a few small escort run agencies in the US. The ones I am aware of consist of an experienced escort that screens and schedules for 2 or 3 other sometimes less experienced ladies. Run by a sort of 'player coach', some stay awhile, others have turnover as ladies decide to retire or go independent. The key I think is that the organizer knows the ropes, has alot to offer for newbies and also has a reputation / contact list so clients also feel safe with new girls.
They always end up getting caught once the agency gets big. I would definitely not start one.
why do you want to start one? Is there like a niche you're trying to fill in your area or something?
Why not try a different adult-company-- dancers for bachelor/birthday parties, or exotic cleaning or something?
i thought about opening a private party agency in the far future for awhile, safer than escort agency..those guys get busted on the regular, even when they pay shit tons to buy off the cops
It's easiest to start an agency if you are an escort with several regular clients that you can book other girls with. That being said, it's possible to start without a client base but would take longer to build up steady business. It requires some startup capital for advertising and the more you invest, the larger your return will be.
Screening is incredibly important for escort safety, but most agencies don't screen or do a half-assed job. Finding good escorts to work for you may be difficult. Besides your own ethical (or non-ethical) behaviour, the escorts who you represent can make or break your reputation. That being said, there are plenty of lousy agencies out there making bank.
You might want to read "Blueprint for an Escort Agency". It's a little outdated, but she does give a pretty good rundown of how to run an agency and what can go wrong. I liked "The Mayflower Madam" which was a great book. It's a memoir but if you read it with a discerning eye, you can see what she does right and where she goes wrong too.
Working as an escort or running an escort agency is not illegal as long as it is clear that the payment is for the escort's time and companionship. Discussing sex for money, a lack of thorough screening and booking escorts with politicians are the three biggest dangers imo and best be avoided.
If you are willing to put in a lot of work, time and money, it could be very profitable for you. If you live in the US, there is considerably more risk to you so make sure you are aware of the risks and learn how you can lessen them.
