Traveling to Bay Area to do Body Rubs/ FBST
Im traveling to The Downtown area of San Francisco in early December with a friend, and plan to do some FBST sessions down there. I'm staying in a hotel room, and plan to do some appointments out of the room, and possibly outcalls as well.
I Had my first trip out of state in early Sept. to Portland, and was please with the response I got! Using a vacation rental for this kind of work makes more sense I think, than a hotel, as I had a massage table, and numerous sheets and towels I used for clients. I plan on bringing my own sheets.
My Red Book seems to be THE site people advertise on in the Bay area, as well as Backpage, and Eros. I plan to advertise on all three.
My questions are these:
Is a month in advance enough time to start advertising my trip, say start on Nov 1st, if I plan on being there Dec 1st?
What is the scene down there like?
Any collective/temple like spaces I can work out of while there too?
I should say, I shared space in a temple/collective space in Seattle where I live. Its been great, and have branched out to form a smaller temple- like space with a few others, with the intention of being fully indy in the next few months. I am more than happy to provide references to those who would be willing to allow me to share space, and vouch for my character, type of practice I have ect. PM if you wish.
I have heard that the Bay Area is big on reviews, I do have one, I hope that helps. :)
I fully appreciate any responses from you ladies.

Well not sure about body rubs, but there's a great SF thread about strip clubs (maybe to give you a general idea, I know it's a different thing)

I can't give you a provider's business perspective, but can give you a customer's perspective. Starting with the fact that I don't know what FBST stands for. FBSM is what people use for full body sensual massage, does the T stand for something other than massage?

One of the best resources is the FBSM forum on myredbook. It is the fastest way to generate some excitement. Unlike the other redbook forums, which are solely client-oriented, the FBSM forum on redbook is the one forum with the charter of encouraging provider participation and a friendly atmosphere. There are a few trolls, of course, but by and large, if you post there (read the rules, you're allowed one first introductory post with no ad link but pics are ok) and then *participate* in the conversations a bit, if you make a good impression you'll generate both reviews and word-of-mouth on the forum. Best resource IF you can handle forums, follow the rules while graciously ignoring the 2 or 3 trolls.

Again, from a customer perspective, in SF FBSM is the most vibrant area of the sex industry as a whole, with prices rising quite a bit the past two years, while in every other area, prices stay the same or fall. Hell, specialized FBSM offerings like Elysium now fetch $300/hour with 90 minute minimums ... $450 for a fancy HJ. Tells you everything you need to know :)
