"We'll call you"
I just auditioned at a new club and I liked it so much more than the place I currently work. I thought I did really well, I felt that I was more or less as attractive as the other girls ( I was one of the bigger ones but there was a girl MUCH larger than me there) I also had a couple of men ask me for dances on the spot, which I had to decline since I wasn't technically hired yet. So, yeah the manager watched part of my set. When I got off stage and went up to the DJ he told me to fill out the application and that the manager would give me a call as he had stepped out to buy something from a store and he didn't know when he would be back. Is this a bad sign?

That's a weird brush off, but still a brush off. Don't hold your breath and if you're looking for a new club, try elsewhere.

I had something similar happen to me yesterday ... I am not sure maybe this is a brush off too? When I got to club bartender let me audition and tried to call manager but said he wasnt answering his phone. I danced a song and she took my cell # and even a few pictures of me. She said he was busy but should get back to me after the weekend. I really liked the club but I couldnt tell if I fit in or not because the club was so dead when I went in and I only saw 2 girls. However one girl was a curvy natural brunette just like me. My girlfriend said when she auditoned the manager was there and she got a shift for next week.

The manager didn't want to do the dirty work that's why he stepped off. The manager must didn't think you would fit in with his club. Just keep trying out other clubs.:)
