Whatcha think about this?
It'd be an 8-minute set, but I dance-tested it, and it's easy to move to, all the way through. I think both songs are sexy & the Kings of Leon one has worked for me in the past... but, I'm not entirely sure about the 1st song in strip club context. The slower part of the beat is easy to writhe to, for me, and it's got a cool faster-slower-faster thing that I always enjoy...
But, will my audience?
Picture this: Saturday day shift in a deep-south mid-tier where I am the oldest dancer by 10 years, but easily as hot as the rest and hotter than most (and humble!)... there are 6 guys all day... 1 or 2 of them will be gems, and I will make ALL of my $200 off of them, and be fine with that... "Gem" could be black, white, or any color really... a student, a witty, sharply dressed architect, a gross old guy with a mullet. So, no one song or genre is going to please them all. But, there is a common denominator: I'd bet my entire $200 on them *all* being comfortable with music that is very mainstream.
I'm redheaded and pale and have bangs and a big ass and giant implants and winged eyeliner, so "alternative" stuff has a tendency to work okay for me onstage... but is the Tv on the Radio song too weird?
