"Matrix Back Bend?"
I did a search here, and on 'youtube', but nothing came up.
Do any of you know how to do the backbend (halfway down), (Matrix backbend,) without a pole?
I'm doing a bachelor party next Saturday for a guy who hired my agency, that I've already danced for at his bach party-Now he's throwing one for his best friend, and requested me. Most of the same guys will probably be there, so I want to wow them with that cool 'Matrix move'.
I would prefer to do it in heels, but if it's too difficult-I can get away without heels, since I'm known for a combo belly dance/burlesque style strip.
Thanks in advance.

Re: "Matrix Back Bend?"
I'm trying to picture this. Is this like a static pose that you want to hold? Or do you just want to lean back into it, and pull back into a standing position? No hands, I'm assuming? I don't think I've ever seen this, but I'm intrigued. I've seen girls slowing arch back, like they were going into a walk over, but instead of landing on their hands, they ease them selves down into their shoulders with their arms above their heads and end up in laying in the floor with their knees up and hips raised. I lack the ab strength to do that, but I think you need a wide stance, with one leg forward and one behind. The back leg provides most of the support. There was a girl at my last club who was really good at this. She did it in heels. But, I'm not sure if that's what you are trying to do...
If you find a video link, post it! It sounds cool and I wanna see it!!

Re: "Matrix Back Bend?"
Never heard of this. I do back bends (well, I could, but haven't in awhile)but can't imagine doing them at parties. I did them on the pole though.

Re: "Matrix Back Bend?"
I tried the move at the private party last weekend, and used the bachelor as a human pole, back bending into his upper torso. Not feeling confident in back bending on my own yet. However, practice makes perfect, right?
