i would say use some self tanner, it can make a huuggee difference! i can go from hating my body to loving it just by applying sally hansen bronze cream.

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
I may have to try that at some point. The lights in my bathroom are also really hard white lighting, though, so that may be why I seem so washed out in the pics as , though I do have naturally fair skin.
Edit: Unrelated, but a question I meant to ask.
I know that stripping involves stage/floorwork as well as, obviously, the lapdancing/VIP stuff. My question is... how often in a night would you usually go up on the floor/stage?

Totally depends on the club, shift, and how many girls are there. You could go up once, twice, once an hour, or even not at all.

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
You are beautiful and I am so envious of your boobs. Can I borrow them for my first night?
-
Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
Ah, I see. c:
Is this something the girls usually request to do or does management tell a girl when she's to go on stage (as in it's mandatory)? Or does that also depend on the club?
-
Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
@Sarah: Thank you! LOL I love my boobs, too (although sometimes I wish they were a little smaller, augh back pain!) I would let you borrow them if I could! :D

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
Actually, that's a good question. Is it ever not mandatory to go on stage? Geez, if I could make my hundreds from walking the floor and dancing, that would make me VERY happy.
Hehe, no problem holeinhead. <3

^Again, all of your questions are very much dependant on the club. Each club is different and when you audition the manager should run through most of this with you. If not, simply ask. For the most part, it IS mandatory to go on stage at some point during your shirt. Depending on how many girls are working, it may be every hour, or there may be more or even less time between your sets. Some clubs have rosters/timetable, some clubs have a DJ or house Mum/manger who will inform you when your next stage set is etc. Some are more organized than others and you won't know the inner working of the club until you are actually hired. The DJ usually handles this though and many will announce your name over the mic' before your stage set.

You have nice natural boobs. If you tone up your midsection you can get into a nice club.

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
1. I've heard that thicker girls are fine as long as they carry their weight well, and while I'm not shy about my body I wonder how much I can expect to make when I don't look like a barbie doll? What I'm mainly concerned with is getting a realistic average for my first and second week working, keeping in mind my looks and assuming I go in with high confidence -- but also keeping in mind that I am a NEWB at this. Could I expect to make at LEAST 500-600 if I work 4 days a week just starting out? This is the minimum until I get a feel for the ropes, so to speak. EDIT: I should clarify that the 500-600 is profit after house cut and all that.
You have a nice figure, just tone the lower tummy (lay on your back an do leg lifts straight legs up 90 degrees until you can't take it - it works the lower tummy). There is no standard, what you make wholly depends on you and occasionally a bit of luck.
2. I've seen advice on clothes and most people just say 'it depends on the club' and one thread said some girl even wore Ugg boots and made bank! But, realistically, unless the club specifically requires you to wear heels would it be okay to wear wedges or even flats or sandals? I wouldn't mind wearing heels for a bit but I think wearing them for 7-8 hours would just KILL my feet. I've never been able to wear them for more than 2-3 hours straight.
Flats/sandals/Uggs won't go with your outfits. You would look quite out of place. Dancer shoes are easier than regular high heels, this is because they have a platform front, so your arch is only elevated 1.5 - 3 inches as oppose to having your heel be practically perpendicular to where your toes are (non-club heels are infamous for this), so you are a lot more level than you think, just don't fall, your legs will be disproportionately long compared to your torso, LOL.
4. I am pretty nervous about auditions! I'm sure I need to practice my dancing a little and will definitely be looking up more stuff on youtube. I can pop my booty a little, lol! but I know that's not what most customers will expect as long as it's sexy and I make them want it, right? Still, any specific tips on this (awkward movements to avoid and whatnot?)
Did you do any sort of ballet, tap, jazz, gymnastics as a kid? If so, you may move more fluidly than you think. I went with flexibility, I decided to regain as much range of motion as possible ex-gymnast, guys love to see your legs, flexibility shows them off! If you can't booty shake - DO NOT! You will just embarrass yourself when the pros come and annihilate the stage with their back-up dancer worthy booty-shaking. Since I can't ass-clap. I don't say no. Try to be aware of your arms too, don't just fling them about or hold them stoically - it's hard to be aware of your arms and hands, but using them as an extension of your performance instead of a balancing tool or awkward distraction (ie constantly running them down your hips or doing the same thing repeatedly.
6. How do you turn down someone that wants extras if I do manage to get a VIP room? I am not at all down for that, but I also don't want to lose a few hundred dollars just because some asshole thinks he's going to score. :c
Men are visual creatures, they won't listen to no's and don't respond well to sudden self-consciousness, so don't get thrown off, instead do things that visually resemble sexuality. Tell them to trust you, you can turn them on without mutual physicality. Say you want them to see you getting to your pleasure zone. If they are relentless, just end the session. Men don't realize they could find an escort much easier OTC and they never will, so don't bother to explain it to them.

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
You can ask when you're at the audition about the amount of floorwork/ a lot of DJs will accept 'bribes' to not go on stage, usually $60 but equally, a lot of clubs don't allow that. Keep it on the dl!
When I was at PP, a lot of the girls are latina so they just kind of 2 step on stage and swirl their hips, I didn't really notice much floor work.. and the poles are much thicker than normal clubs, made out of plastic filled with LEDs. Very pretty but not practical for anything but standing near / leaning on. Pretty poses are common, practice dancing when not many people are there if it makes you more comfortable.
I wrote this & realized Tempest mentioned it, but for real!!! If you are on your back doing floorwork, keep your toes pointed! Your heels will help angle your feet but there is nothing sillier looking than a girl on her back with her ankles in a right angle
When are you going in!?
I would get ready, call and be like, "I want to come audition to be a dancer, could I stop by today?"

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
Thanks for all the helpful responses, ladies! And the compliments on the boobs haha, not that I can claim much credit for that :p
@Tara: I was in marching band in HS and we did dance as a part of our field performance. It's been a few years, but I think it definitely still helps a little. I do need to try doing more with my hands than just running them over my hips, etc, though. I've been practicing in the mirror! c: Your response to #6 is really helpful, too, and I will keep that in mind if it happens.
@Miss: I am thinking Thurs or Friday. I'm going to a club I wish to audition at tonight as a customer to get a feel for the place (Scarletts) and will go from there! I may also audition at Tootsies as I've seen some good reviews about it. I was also considering Pure Platinum but haven't really seen or heard too much about it, so I'm not sure. I may go another time to check it out as it's not as far a drive for me as the other two.

I think you should wear bigger panties tbh. It will make your stomach look better and cover the little pouch you have. I have a similar problem too so I hope you dont think that I'm being harsh!

What do you mean by bigger panties, exactly? Maybe a thong with a wider band?

But again, it varies on the place you go. SR is the only place that I've danced, but other dancers have told me that some have a house fee usually between £40-80 and then there may be a top up fee if it's been a good night. and don't forget tipping out! my club has a jar we can chuck tip outs into instead of going around to everyone at the end of the night, but definitely keep tip outs in mind when calculating how much you aspire to earn in a night. best of luck!xx
When I worked at SR (I'm in the UK, plus my Grandmother lives near where you say you are!) they charged a housefee and took a cut-but when I asked about tips all the girls said they didn't!I guess maybe it's different for different cities?
I would like to go back to SR I found the atmosphere friendly and the £ was good It's just hard for me to get there and back to!
In answer to all your questions OP... false tan and finding an outfit that suits you and flatters your best bits will get you everywhere. It's a good idea to look after your body, cut down on carbs, drink tonnes of water and work out-you don't have to go mad with it, you have a great bodyshape (and I'm jealous of your boobs!) just make the most of what you already have. Wear a little mini dress or nightdress that pushes up your boobs and skims your tummy. My tummy is my problem area too. As for the other questions, all clubs are different. Pick yourself up some stripper heels though seriously, they're comfy and flatter your posture and make your legs look awesome.Good luck!

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
@Sugar: Thank you so much!
I actually went and got a cute little mini dress today that makes me figure look great, and hides my little pooch xD Got some good shoes, too, that were on sale and some wider strapped thongs haha. I am all ready for my audition. Still soooo nervous but I will be going on Friday and despite the nerves.. am excited, too!

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
Hii
This might be a little late, but you asked about stripper stores in Miami so I thought I'd try to help. There is a store called Playthings on Bird Road and 90 something ave. It's huge and kinda expensive if something isn't on sale, but if you wanna try on heels or outfits you can. I normally find out what size I wear in a certain brand (Pleaser, Elle, Highest Heel, etc) and then I'll look for it online. I like Pleaser heels a lot and AMI clubwear and Yandy.com both sell them I think (AMI does for sure). Since it's cyber week they might have good deals. AMI was 55% off everything on Monday. You can get a good pair of plastic heels to start out w for like $40-50 on sale for about $25.
I am inpatient and usually want stuff right away though so I'm often tempted to buy things right out of the store. :/

Re: Need ADVICE on what to expect for MAKING $, AUDITIONS, and CLOTHES!
Don't worry so much about the stage audition. You won't remember it anyways, and it will be over faster than you realise. You will walk out super nervous and the songs will be over before you know it. All you'll be left with its your stage tips and a beating heart.
Don't forget to take off your top or everything else if your club requires it!
Good luck!
