Re: Best big cities to live in?
It really depends... This is more of a personal choice. Are you looking for rich history and pretty architecture? Are you looking for low cost yet convenience? Are you looking for singles or a family-oriented area? Weather preference? What is your industry? What industry is your dream career? Like it just depends on so many factors.
Cliche enough, I still think SF, LA, and NY are the best options. However I have recently become obsessed with New Orleans too. I'm more of one for pretty architecture and finding like-minded people. And a bit of a theatrical personal style ambiance. However, I have not visited all the places on your list, but I have visited several of them.
Re: Best big cities to live in?
I loved New Orleans when I visited it (twice). Beautiful city (the parts I saw anyway), great architecture, high emphasis on culture, great night life. And WARM lol.

The best place to be a stripper may be Las Vegas or Dallas. This is a very personal question and will really depend on the person answering what the right answer should be.
Or if you want to be a porn star, the LA San Fernando Valley would be the best place.

New Orleans is the greatest city in the world but I see it missed your list, so I chose my hometown Dallas as runner up. :)

Way to make that fucking mess a little easier to think about. Maybe you were being serious, but it made me laugh.
I do predict a lot more pornstars moving to Miami area, and maybe other cities a little more friendly to the industry.
Re: Best big cities to live in?
Chicago Sucks. & IL is #2 in unemployment.
Re: Best big cities to live in?
I wish New Orleans was on there. That's where Most of my family is from and we have a Creole background. I loooooove their accents. Been thinking about moving there :)
Re: Best big cities to live in?
Los Angeles has to be the best city to live in. We may have the shittiest traffic but the weather is the best in the nation.
Re: Best big cities to live in?
I was born and raised in Louisiana. Not sure what you guys find so lovely about New Orleans. My hometown is in northwestern Louisiana and is the oldest city in Louisiana so much more historical than New Orleans. New Orleans is not that nice of a city. Unless you're a gambler, drinker and parties, there's nothing much else to it.
Re: Best big cities to live in?
DETROIT IS THE BEST!
...just kidding, it definitely is not (I live here).
I like Chicago but I don't like the weather. I like LA but it's pretentious and when I'm there I don't feel I could be comfortable living there. Philly seemed cool but I haven't been there since I was young, same for NYC. I'm going to Philly soon though!
I like big cities, but in terms of living, I think I'd like a city that isn't AS busy as, say, NYC. I feel like my thoughts would get lost if I lived there. I want to check out Denver, never been.

I've lived in various parts along the west-of-woodward 6, 7, and 8 mile. Not now though (suburbs!).
