Why do people not like deja vu? Would you recommend trying it out?
Hi girls I'm new here and am looking at clubs to dance at. There are 3 clubs here in bakersfield CA and deja vu looks the most popular based on the Facebook page and reviews. But I've read on here that it's a shitty place to work because they rape your pay and that they're sleazy. Is this really true? Can you guys please give me the pros and cons of this chain?

A friend of mine worked at the Sacramento (I think) Deja Vu. She said they do rape you as far as how much they take from each dance... I believe it was something like $8 of every $20 dance went to the house, and it was all paid into a machine so you couldn't jip the club.
She didn't mention if it was "sleazy" but I also think her boundaries are a little more flexible than some. She would charge the guys an extra "tip" paid straight to her for contact, so she was pulling in $40 a song for boob grabbage.

I worked at one briefly. I liked management and the employees, and also how they did their scheduling, but the house fees were out the culo. On top of ridiculous house fees (if I remember, it was over $200), they also took something like 40/60 portions of the dances. To top it all off, ALL they would play was this really shitty dance/house/electronic BULLSHIT because apparently corporate was forcing it. All they were allowed to play was that.
Try a different place before you go to that chain is all I can recommend, if only for a couple months. Deja Vu is stupid and I never want to work for them again. $200 my little pink asshole....

I have not worked in Bakersfield for quite some time but when I was there I worked at Exotic Kitty's and did well there. The club is beautiful, nude on stage only and bikini lap dances ( air dances only ). The cut from dances was a bit steep, 40% if I recall but no house fees and 10 dollar dj tip. I tried deja vu first but they told me I needed to tan, lol. The advantage to that club is that they are right off the highway would get more travelers. The club itself didn't seem sleazy at all and the manager at the time was a sweetie and sent me to Kitty's. I checked out the other club and it seemed a bit of a hole in the wall and would not hire until you got a license. I am no fan of corporate clubs but considering the location and the Deja vu name brand I would at least check it out.

I was hired at Deja Vu Las Vegas and it was completely dead in there. All I ever hear about Deja Vu is all the money they take out. Deja Vu, Little Darlings, Hustler all have crazy fees. Also I've heard of Deja Vu using your Social and sending W-2 forms but I'm not sure if that part applies to all of them or not.

The ones in LA are gross. Super dirty, girls eating each other out onstage. Not my scene. Don't know what the fees are like where you are but 8/20 is pretty much the norm in LA (40/60 is NOT).

$8 out of a $20 dance is a 40% cut.
