Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
I'd like to make a FB dedicated to my work. It'll include my stage name, a whole bunch of sexy pics with "like this? Come see me tonight ;)" or little phrases like that. If I got custys to add me is it safe to reply to them in comments with hearts or kissy faces or should you not respond? Is it safe to post when I'll be working? Thanks.

I think as long as it's separate and your regular account can't be found from that one then it should be okay. Most of the time girls keep a work phone with them so when they get regulars they can call or text the guy when they will be in the club next. Lately customers (usually younger guys) have been asking me about instagram. I do not have instagram, but I know a lot of girls who do and I think some of them have ones for their stripper personas. Maybe you could use one for your customers (not sure what instagram is other than a picture blog...)?

Also be aware of what you upload online, depending on the device you used to take pictures some people out there can find out the location where that picture was taken.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
Eh. I think most of the worthwhile clientele that goes to strip clubs isn't going to add you or like you on Facebook since it's connected to their real name and real life. Many of them are married, have families, or otherwise don't want to proclaim their affinity for strippers. I could see lots of young guys adding you because they see photos of a hot girl and then either spamming your inbox/comments or even going to the club just to try to pick you up.
You're better off exchanging numbers/emails with your good customers.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
There's a site for this called xoticspot.com. It's a social network for strippers and customers that provides some anonymity for all involved. You can post pictures and your schedule, add friends, etc.

Also, keep in mind the 6 degrees of separation thing... You never know when a customer will be friends with someone you know and that person might browse through their friends...
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
I think it's better to stay off FaceBook for industry work in general. So many strict guidelines that usually lead to deletion of the page anyway, the chance of running in to someone you'd rather not on there, and most people will avoid "liking" the page since it would show on their timeline.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
At the time I left my home club in TX, the promoting mgr was in the process of setting up a FB thing thru the club, for the dancers, as a way to advertise themselves & network w/ clients. Each girl would be given her own page, & the option of uploading pix of ourselves, rather than requiring them, along w/ her schedule whatever contact info the individual dancer provided, w/ the option again of just listing the club's phone number if she didn't want to give hers out. I would have gone that route, maybe one or two good pix of me on the pole, the club's phone number.
All this was still in the works when I left, so I don't know if it has since been completed or how well it has worked. I would have felt better doing it this way if I *had* to have an online presence at all; I am not on any social media sites (other than this one -- does SW count??) for reasons that have nothing to do w/ dancing, but the guy who was in charge of this animal had the girls' privacy/safety in mind while designing it.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
I know it's common for adult film actresses to make "professional" twitter/instagram accounts. My friend does that with some success. I think those are both better than FB if it's purely for adult-work purposes, you know?
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
If you are looking at being a adult actress/model or a professional showgirl etc, then it can help you to create a fan base, it's good publicity. But, if you will just be dancing or camming to earn a living, it's not a necessity and you can definitely keep regulars without one. Like one of the girls said, having a work phone is a popular way to keep/contact regulars, it's less personal and untraceable, so it's a bit safer.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
Beware that facebook does a lot of things that you sometimes don't know until it's over. I keep my FB very private and don't really add anybody because if they click "like" on one of your pictures a lot of times everybody on there friends list can see what they liked. Next thing you know you got trouble.
Obviously that might not be a problem for you since you want to have pictures shown off. But I just see people liking your pictures and sooner or later somebody finds your real page. Only matter of time.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
Facebook, especially lately, can do some pretty creepy shit regarding "linking" your personal page to any other pages you have. Whether it's based on info you provide (like town, email address), IP address, or possibly some sort of photo-recognizing software?? there have been many instances of people creating "anonymous" accounts and facebook just "randomly" suggesting their personal profile or friends that they have on their personal profile as "people they might want to friend." It could easily start recommending your professional persona to people on your personal friends list you'd rather not have.
Plus, I feel like it would just attract timewasters who will keep wanting to "chat" via messages and people who want to ogle at your pictures. You could just get a Twitter and be able to post your schedule or tweet that you're heading to the club. It serves its networking/marketing purpose but without all the extra hassle of facebook.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
Facebook is risky IMO. You must be very careful dealing with them ,especially if you have a personal FB account. They will screw you over when it comes to your privacy. I could see someones personal accounts and business accounts ending up linked in some way. If you do it, remember to use a totally different email address to sign up than you use for anything personal. You may want to use a different web browser too.
There are times that I am online and click a news link. My photo and facebook account come up in the area where I could post comments. This would freak me out if an adult profile was popping up all the time.
Re: Is it a good idea to make a FB dedicated to work?
Yes you can use Facebook for your work promotions. Many clubs are using it for the club advertising and promotions. Be conscious before posting anything. Don't link it to the personal account, don't use any personal details. Use your club addresses or any information mandatory. It can be messy in the starting but if you want to do it you need to be determined.
