My very first night I made money I bought all these ridiculous outfits that didn't flatter me AT ALL
I also bought a full tank of gas, some cds and beer lol
my second night ever i had a GREAT night, even for vet standards ( at least in that place), but im sorry to say that i was a very different person back then, and very stupid..i spent it on clothes, getting high, and my bf at the time stole a lot of it :(
the stripping business changed you?
yeah, it definitely changed me. but i also feel that i got older, smarter, and more responsible as the years rolled by and got some nasty ppl outta my life.
Cocaine, a pit bull puppy and comic books.
The first time I broke 1000 was on my first birthday as a dancer (20). I bought myself an awful Suri Cruise haircut, a corn snake, bunch of unflattering outfits, and a multi-week staycation. I remember thinking that as long as I kept a savings fund of $500 I was fine, lol!
The pink version of the Flora fragrance by Gucci. I paid for it in singles. :)
I was boring and practical and just used it to pay for my rent, bills, food, new work outfits, proper shoes etc.
The first thousand dollar + night I had got me an apartment. It was good timing because I was living
at the Travelodge and running out of money. Was so broke when I moved in there I had no bed and I was sleeping on coats. I did not know how to manage money then at all.
The Hitchhiking Prostitute and the Naive Stripper: A Cautionary Tale
This is a good one. My first night making good money (I was 18 at the time and going to school, so I lived in a dorm). I went to the Waffle House because my ass was hungry (it was only my 2nd night dancing, I banked, and I was super stoked). Anyway, it was late January and this woman was outside in the cold and asked if she could wait in my warm car until her taxi came. She was all of 100 lbs and a female, so I said 'why not'.
As soon as she got in I knew it was trouble, she reeked of liquor and something else? Anyway she said her cab was meeting her at the gas station up the road, so I took her there; I had to get gas anyway. I get there and I am paranoid, because I don't want to leave her alone in the car, so I just idle until a taxi gets there, which fortunately is hers. It took about 10 minutes during which we made small talk and I confirmed that she's definitely high and out of sorts.
Relieved that she's gone I go to get my giant greasy Waffle House meal only to open my wallet (for some reason I stuck my wad of cash in one of the many inside zipper pockets of my purse instead of my wallet) only to find my bank card is missing, but worse, my Dad's AMEX is missing. He had let me borrow it for some dorm furnishings and 2nd semester books and I hadn't been back in town to return it to him since.
Freaking out and also wondering what kind of MacGyver move she pulled to do that without me noticing; I called my Dad and we both called the police. He calls AMEX to halt the usage of the card, although in the 1/2 it took us to do this AMEX informs him that $2000 was just used at the local Wal*Mart. How cracked out do you have to be to race through a Wal*Mart at 3:00 AM and manage to get $2000 worth of crap! The card company assures him a refund by morning and she never touched my debit/credit bank card. I guess she saw "AMEX" and got stoked.
Well it turns out after describing her the police know her. In fact she is a "regular" as in she goes to jail a lot for dumb crap like prostitution, petty theft, drunk and disorderly, and misdemeanor drug possession.
As she gets in the police car they ask if this is the right woman (somehow bitch was able to borrow a run down car, which had a large bag of white powder in a bag on the trunk, which undoubtedly were some narcotics the officer found when searching the car); now here is the kicker - when they ask me to ID her and I say, "yes that is her" she tries to tell me it was her twin sister, Tina that did all this, not her. I kid you not - she really said that and she was sticking to it.
Fortunately all my cash was hidden away in a random zipper pocket and the card charges were refundable. Needless to say it's a night I won't forget. Although it kind of jaded me; I like to try to help people and after that adventure I can't even offer a warm seat to someone in the cold? What is the world coming to?
My last awesome night I bought myself a baby crocodile :D
Man, you guys are so much cooler than me.
A Baby Crocodile? That Actually Sounds Cool Lol. :D
My first night making good money, I made almost four hundred and I put it towards having my first place. Best investment of money I've made so far.
