Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
So, on more than one occasion when I've been in VIP , we will often be in there a significant amount of time longer than he's paying for (once it was supposed to be a half hour and it was 50 mins). It's frustrating because it's hard to sell more time and I try and do my best hustle closer to the "time's up" point so that he will renew, but then we're still in there for a while. I've spoken up to the host (of course, not in front of the customer) that we've been in there for longer than he's paid for and she gets super annoyed with me and says "only a couple mins, I'll be right in" .
So I guess my question is, has anyone else had this issue and how have you dealt with it? I don't want to get on management's bad side, I really like the host, but I feel like I'm giving out free time and the club is also losing money.
thanks!
Re: Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
on the rare occasion that they don't immediately come in, i check my phone and get up, gather my clothes and say " that was fun, wow time really flew by! want to do another while im still here naked?". you have to be firm. set a timer on your phone. if they say no, get dressed and tell them to come with you to the main floor and out of VIP and if all else fails just leave them in there and say you need to use the bathroom. definitely don't sit there any longer, they really are cheating you out of money and they will keep doing it if you allow them
Re: Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
Is the host supposed to come in and let you know that your time is up? If so, it's unacceptable for her to leave you in there for an extra 20 mins. This has happened to me and after a while I just started ending the dances myself (if the customer didn't want to extend). If you can do this without getting into trouble, go a head-time is money! Otherwise, just politely bring it up with the host or management by saying something similar to what you wrote in your post, "I don't want to get on management's bad side, I really like the host, but I feel like I'm giving out free time and the club is also losing money".
Re: Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
^ I second the above posts! At my dungeon it's what we call "topping from the bottom". You have to be firm, yet sweet. Of course let the guy think he's in control and that you really don't want to end the session, but politely and firmly let him know time is up!
Re: Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
I just tell the customer that I have to pay to stay beyond the standard 30 (or 60) mins. The bouncer checks in periodically, so this is a reasonable situation. The timer on the phone is an excellent idea. I start it up and if the customer asks why, I say that management likes to cut VIP shows short, this way he is getting his full time.
Re: Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
When I feel like my time is up and it's been a few minutes over, I excuse myself to quickly go "use the restroom", or "grab a bottled water" quickly. If the hostess is there, I will ask how much time is left. If she's not, I check the time on my cell and if the time is up, I return to the room and let the guy know.
I never check my phone in front of the customer, as I don't want him to feel rushed, or like I'm not enjoying our time.
If I do have to be the one to tell him that the time is up instead of the hostess doing it, I make it sound like I "can't believe how quick the time passed", "I'm having sooo much fun and don't want to leave you yet!" That is my introduction to trying to get him to stay in the room and buy more time.
Sometimes I can get some sort of upgrade if the guy pays for more time and tips the hostess well, like not paying for drinks for that hour or going to a nicer room. (My club has three types of rooms)
I know everyone has different techniques, and even though your time in the club is precious, try to be discreet about watching the clock. The LAST thing you want someone paying hundreds of dollars for time with you to feel like is that you aren't enjoying them or are distracted and in a hurry.
Re: Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
I'm sorry your host is doing such a shitty job of informing you. Do you tip
her? I would just not tip and explain why.
I get charged for time in VIP (i.e. my club takes 35%) so no one's getting extra time from me. I am polite and kind but firm and say I would like to keep going but it's going to be X. If they say no I start to get dressed. I give them half a song to start getting up before I say "babe I'm happy to
stay if you want, but I just want you to
know that the club is going to charge you."
Either they're down with being charged in which case they buy more time or they get up.
They will TOTALLY take advantage if you let them. You have to
be firm.
Re: Being in VIP longer than the customer paid for
i like the idea of setting a phone. remeber everything like collecting money up front or the timer on the phone . always spin to be in the customers benefit. like they can shrten vip shows...or if you withdraw the max on the ATM then u only pay the fee once. then if guys already have the money out its easier to get. collecting upfront- just say well its to keep you from overspending and us losing trackof our dance time together... hope this helps and definetly talk to mngmt!!!!!!!!!!!
