Re: shady / thieving dancers
During my time dancing, these are all the stuff that someone stole from me:
-one red thong
-a pair of size 10 black heels
I left those things outside the bag, so of course they got stolen.
Things inside my bag? NEVER!! I had everything secured with all sorts of locks, so whoever wanted to stole from my suitcase would've taken a lot of time. Inside the suitcase, the outfits were inside a slightly smaller bag that also had a lock (one of those TSA combination locks). Same with shoes and make-up; they all had their own separate bags with their own locks. Oh, everything was also packed in zip-lock bags; before I started dancing, I read in these forums how common urinating on other dancer's stuff actually is. Yes, I was THAT paranoid.
Re: shady / thieving dancers
just a cheap curling iron I laughed so hard because it was $10 and the girl who did was trying to get under my skin.

I told management and they knew she did it but said, "We don't have cameras, so we can't prove it" What a great club! Later I learned that she'd stolen from plenty of other girls too, but they kept her on because she made the club $.
An all too common occurrence, in my experience at least.
Also, trying to recover your own stolen property after the fact has the potential to turn out 'unpredictably'.

I had sm cosmetic bag w/wrist strap..me personally, nvr did like even having the garter w/$ showing
Same ... a small clutch purse with wrist strap never left my reach except when I was performing onstage or doing private dances ... but even then it never left my sight.
In regard to garter money, it has been my experience that customers seeing a big wad of bills encourages them NOT to tip !!!
Re: shady / thieving dancers
Money, makeup, and 2 cell phones. Drinking and being sloppy cost me a lot of money.

Are you sure it was a girl who took your bag and not a customer? I've seen that happen countless times over the years.
I've never lost money, but have had customers take my outfits off the stage. I've also seen drunk customers sweeping my tips off the stage and into their pockets.
I've never been drunk at work. I limit myself to 2 drinks per shift. After the 2nd drink, I'm pouring out any other alcoholic beverages at my 1st opportunity. It is important to keep your wits about you in this business, because NO ONE CARES ABOUT STRIPPERS.
We are on our own. Watch your back, 'cause no one else has it.

Agree ^^^^. Haven't wanted to say anything bc 'Maybe drink a bit less at work' would easily get flamed as 'victim blaming' regardless of the fact that I think any1 who steals your things is a lowlife POS. But, yes -- if you're going to drink at work, knowing you're in an environment that attracts a lot of unscrupulous ppl, keep sm common sense. Thieves tend to be opportunists, why offer them the easier opportunity by being careless?
Re: shady / thieving dancers
I lost a rhinestone necklace once. Not sure if it was in the club, but... could be. I think a certain dancer was looking over my shoulder and saw my combination. Switched to a key lock after.
I did have a dancer try to steal my purse while I was onstage. She sat on the edge and slowly reached back to grab it. Imagine her surprise when she felt my shoe on her hand. It was all I could do not to kick her in the face...
Re: shady / thieving dancers
The only thing I've ever had stolen is a cheap ass straightening iron that I got for free to begin with. And that was my fault, cause I left it plugged into our DR's shitty power strip that doesn't power anything very well, hoping at some point it would heat up, then I promptly forgot about it all day until I got home that night. I never even bothered looking for it because obviously it was gone forever and I didn't care about it enough to exert any effort on it.
Really, my club has a very honest environment somehow (like, I've seen girls chasing down other girls to give them back a dollar they forgot on stage and things like that) and I've never heard horror stories about anything being stolen from the DR. I know girls who even leave their bags out on the DR counter all day. Not that I would ever do that, not only because of how easily my things would get stolen, but because that counter is gross and hell. I wear knee high boots and I keep my money all zipped up in my boots so there's no possibility I could forget it anywhere and no possibility of anyone being able to take it without me noticing. But just this morning a customer bought me two new pairs of dancer heels, neither of which are boots, so now I've got to figure out a place to keep my money while I'm wearing those!
Re: shady / thieving dancers
I've had probably 3 straighteners, 2 phone chargers, one or two thongs, and a tee shirt go missing since I started. Oh, and a halter top. Which the girl then wore to work all the time and refused to acknowlege that I wasn't an idiot and could recognize my own clothing. She got fired soon enough after that.
I keep everything either locked up in my locker with a key lock or in the lunch box that I carry with me everywhere. Even my bag is lockable (it's a hard case roll-on, I use a small lock between the zippers). I've just learned not to trust anyone, but I've had more clothing taken by customers than dancers.
Re: shady / thieving dancers
I had my NuMe Style wand stolen. I checked the lost and found everyday I worked for the two weeks it was gone. I came in to work one night and saw it next to someone's bag (it's a unique bag and I knew who it belonged to). I went to take it and it was warm. I didn't say anything to the person as they weren't even present, just out it in my locker and went on about the night but I did let our HM know.
About 3 months later my $200 straightening iron went missing. Same girl, about a week later, I see putting one exactly like mine in her locker. I go up to her and ask her for it, sure enough has my marking on it. I asked her why she stole it. She denied stealing it and said it was in the lost and found, I asked her why she didn't put it back in the L&F and all she said was that she wasn't stealing.... Ok if you take something from the L&F and it's not yours that's stealing you stupid ass bitch.
I told management but did they fire her? Nope. They make the house mom go buy straightening irons and curling wands for the cheap broke bitches who can't afford them since I guess when management talked to her about it she said she couldn't afford a nice one so was just "borrowing" from the lost and found.
Listen bitches, when you steal from people that shit comes back. For thieving bitches: ever wonder why you have bad luck? Ever wonder why bad things happen to you all the time? KARMA BITCH! You'll never stop paying for all the shut you're doing. I've heard it from a girl herself, "no wonder shit happens to me all the time, I'm still paying for all the people I've fucked over."
Re: shady / thieving dancers
its been the people close to me that have stolen in the past..fake "friends" at the club who see you get wasted and then decide to take 300 bucks off your hands for you. i've seen many customers try and take ones off the stage too, and they don't get in trouble unless a manager sees it, they are even less willing to confront them than dancers. a girl i know had her bag stolen off stage by a custy…1500 bucks, her keys, her license, her passport, her prescriptions.. her whole life was in that bag. i'll see girls all the time using shit they've stolen from other dancers, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM. the balls on some of these bitches..
i personally cannot stand stealing, you're a shit stripper if you gotta do that. i had some drunk girl dump all her stage money in my spot by accident, she's lucky i'm not that kind of person.. so yeah, never get shit faced at work!!
Re: shady / thieving dancers
^ OMG that's awful ... and also exactly why I have a real life purse and a work purse. It's one thing to have your night's earnings stolen, and a whole other to have some customer knowing your real name and address. That poor dancer!
I once saw a girl using my hair brush. I didn't realize it was mine until I couldn't find it in my bag. I just waited until the dressing room was empty, went to her bag, found it, and took it back. A few weeks later I saw her using a near-identical brush. I have no idea if she had been trying to steal mine, or if I left it out and she just thought it was hers.
I wonder if I'm just lucky or if I've worked with relatively nice dancers because I've only ever had one thing outright stolen, despite almost never locking up my stuff!

I almost had a guy doing that to me. He almost lost his hand and I almost got charged with battery assault. Was he really THAT broke that he needed to get a five dollar bill from a girl in a skimpy outfit?!
