Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
Because of oversaving for taxes, I'm finally getting a PS3. Probably picking up Mass Effect trilogy, Diablo III, and one of the Resident Evil games to start. I'm so excited! May want to try one of the Battlefield or CoD games for the first time soon too.
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
Lol ps3 player! ! Currently im playing dead or alive, tomb raider and my favorite justice league ( I think that's the name lol)
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
So I didn't end up getting any of those games that I listed as they weren't in stock at any of the stores in town haha. So far I love Prototype and I'm soo much of a scaredy cat that I can't play Silent Hill in the dark. My psn is kuelatch in case anyone wants to add me. I'm going to add you Nocturnelle.
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
I'm a bit of a PS3 junkie when I'm not doing cam work :)
Just beat The Last of Us yesterday, and if you haven't played it I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!
I am a complete junkie for Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Zombies. I have every single DLC pack so I could have all the maps but my favorite by far is Mob of the Dead. I could play it for hours!!! I usually play at least one match per day....they are usually a few hours long so I try to limit myself as much as possible on that! Not real big on campaign however.
I am in love with GTA 5 online since I beat the story mode.
It's hard to really pick one game. If I'm not on GTA 5 or COD BO2 then I'm usually bouncing around from game to game trying what I like and beating all of them when I put enough time into it!
Plus this is always a great bonding experience with my and my boyfriend lol.....I guess he's never had a nerdy gamer girl before!
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
I used to play a lot of strategy games, but I lack the time to do it now. I sometimes think about gaming while waiting for camming customers, maybe I'm gonna do that soon.
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
When I was a kid I was a video game junkie, but as I grew older I fell into a pattern of ignoring most games but occasionally OBSESSING over one that I get into. Those have been:
The original Turok. MM & one of our exes (while we were together) got me an N64 and that game. <3
I"m not a big FInal Fantasy person, never liked them at all. But MM is a HUGE FF fanatic, and when we started dating she started playing XXII. The gambit system just appealed to my autistic brain and I obsessed over it. I'm the only person I know who set up characters and gambits to successfully defeat Yiazimat without interacting with the game, LMAO. I LOVE 12. We got 13 a.d 12.2 and enjoyed them, but not as much.
God of War. I can't een begin to explain my obsession with 1 and 2. 3 was a huge letdown and 4 is just annoying. Really disappointed with them after the awesomeness that was GoW and the even awesomerness that is GoW 2, as close to a perfect game as I've ever played.
I'll let MM get around to making her own post, lol. She's a true gamer.
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
I realize this is a thread for gamer girls, but I have to weigh in on anything that is FF, RE or PS3 related.
First off, for those PS3 owners - you HAVE to play The Last Of Us. Might be the best survival horror game EVER made. And it's not just the gameplay - the story and acting are literally better than 95+ of the Hollywood movies out there. It's THAT good. You'll be rooting for your 2 leads in no time, because they are such real people, not just 2D hero/heroines. The same makers of that game did awesome games in the Unchartered series, so if you love that, you should check those out for sure (1 was OK, but 2 & 3 were literally 15-20 hour masterpieces).
And I gotta shout out to anyone who played FF12 - I gotta say I loved XIII in theory, but XIII-2 nearly burned a hole in my soul. And this is from a guy who played FFIII (VI), FFVII, VIII, IX, X and XII/XIII (yes I was a sports guy 1st, total geek 2nd, and thus my late bloomer status, LOL). I've actually kept copies of them in case my preteen girls ever start playing, and kept an old PS2 & PS3 in my office (yes the inner geek still lives LOL). If you liked XII, if you can get a copy, FF X is probably the pinnacle of the series (PS2 original, but a PS3 version came out IIRC). Amazing story, actually good voice acting, amazing gameplay. God, I feel like a HS/college kid again.
As for Resident Evil - RE 1 is an ugly mess, but it can be played in such a short time that the true classics RE2 & RE4 - are worth doing. You might want to play RE3 so you can follow the story, but in reality, if you loved RE5-6 (coop was so cool with my GF <RE5>/Bro <RE6>), you HAVE to play RE2 & RE4. RE2 & RE4 don't have 2-player coop, but they were the reason why that series is famous. IIRC, those games all came out with PS3 versions (originally on PS2, and sadly no reverse compatibility, but they've been out IIRC).
As for MGS, I tip my cap - great taste as well.
RE2, RE4, FFX are the must-have retro-games to play. Currently, though, LAST OF US is truly a masterpiece, and if you play that and enjoyed it, you'll really enjoy Unchartered (you won't get the depth of the amazing heartbreaking story LoU offers, but you get everything else - plus you get 2 of my favorite unknown lead TV actresses from sci-fi - Claudia Black & Emily Rose).
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
I've like a few of the FF games- 13 being the last one I did- visually I loved it but could never get myself to fully finish it, some of them dragged on a little, and battles got repetitive. THat may be my ADD kicking in- actually thinking it over it is the combat system and the random encounters and such that have been in place since the NES versions - weighs on me a bit too much.
THIS HOWEVER: http://www.dragonage.com/ DA3 is getting me really really excited, more so looking like they are going back to DA1 in a way but expanding it massively XD
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
I will be losing custody of my ex's PS3 soon (unless i should fight for it?)
I was gonna get a PS4 but i might get a new laptop instead... really wanting to get KSP, DayZ, Warband, and be able to try out the odd indie game. I've been watching Robbaz play Project Zomboid, but my comp won't even run the demo!
MGS5 will have to wait...
Has anyone played Watch Dogs yet?
Re: Where are the gamer girls!?!
No point on fighting for it - but make sure you try and play Last of Us b4 you give it up. It is THAT good.
