Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
Can Someone PM me as to which specific 'Dating' sites are promoting us as free dates? I searched on here, but nothing came up.
I'm assuming You don't mean sites like match.com, or Christian mingle, right?
Also, can you tell me how I can search my name, or cam profile on those sites, so I can at least be prepared with what a freeloader is talking about when he enters my chat and starts telling me his age, and what he looks like, and presses to meet him?. OY!!/:O
thanks ladies, Glam

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
It's the exact opposite. Cam sites are promoting us as dates. This includes SM. it's stupid and random instances come up from time to time.
I'm mobile and sick as a dog so I can't pull references right now.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
"Hey I'm Brad, 28 years old, brown hair, blue eyes, 6'2 from New York"
Ugh i get that ALL the time!I don't care what u look like, show me on cam2cam in exclusive! I'm a virtual playtoy, I do NOT want to date!!! Lol
-
Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
When I get those, I'll ask if they're looking to meet up because I won't share my location in guest chat, I don't want stalkers. I'll tell them let's get to know each other better in pvt/exclusive and see if we're compatible to meet up. Drain them balls and wallets!

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
I'm not sure if it's still in effect, but I know a while back everyone said that Chaturbate models were being advertised on a dating site called Fling, and the ads were listing the models' cities. Smh.

I'd seriously like to know if this is still the case... huge security breach.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
I don't get it. They promote it as "dating" yet they are super super strict with giving out contact information ???????? What "genius" in marketing came up with that one.
I swear there are fucking monkeys in charge of SM.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
^Yea I've always thought the same thing. I guess they just want you to keep them coming back that way? ie "Well I'm not comfy enough to give you my info yet, but maybe next time"

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
This is common for cam sites to be with a dating site, that was what cams/streamray and adult friend finder were or are about for many many years I worked on their site. It's pretty simple to deal with and get these guys hooked.
the site directed them to an adult site so they can make money. in a way that makes you money. These guys are usually the most stupid.
Another site that sends traffic to cam sites but they are an escort directory site is eros.com they have eros.cams.com which goes to various cam sites Eros theory was they were getting traffic to their sites looking for this type of entertainment and they are just directing them in the right place. What I really think is these sites are just trying to find more ways to make money from their traffic and will send them anywhere that has an affiliate program.
When I worked on cams and noticed my traffic was mostly coming from adultfriendfinder I made a member account on there to find out how can I get to me and it was based on the site having cam pop-ups on their site or there would be a section that just says webcam and guys would click on it.
Rude.com is another they are suppose to be some huge community cam, dating site and they are not sending their cam traffic to streamray.
When you are webcamming where do you think your traffic is going to come from I've seen threads a lot complaining about this or that about what type of guys are coming in their rooms but where are these sites suppose to get the traffic from - dating and escort sites are one of those ways.
a big thing for traffic from streamate is that live free cams pop up ad with that guys voice telling you how you can get girls to talk to you for free. I sometimes see when I am downloading tv shows from projectfree or icefilms.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
If you play the cards right, it can actually work to your advantage with SM being strict. Tell them to message and contact you as much as they'd like on SM because it's the best place to reach you since you're so busy with a million things going on. They want contact information? Sure, bb SM IS your contact information.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
I'm curious if we're promoted on regular dating sites or if it's all the adult hook up types. I've seen us promoted on tube sites in the dating category with "Meet (insert performers name)
Says nothing about being a cam site. Just makes us look like horny girls that want to hook up with random cock...Lol
I guess the sites hope is after they lure the guy on there, he might decide to spend money. I doubt that happens a lot though, since what brought them to the site was the hope of hooking up for free.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
Streamate has done marketing with Fling as well. If you look up where their traffic comes from, it lists several dating sites.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
Most cam sites didn't market on dating sites until recently. They used to pay for marketing in adult magazines, run commercials and have affiliates that promoted the sites. Many sites fucked over the affiliates and that's when they started on the dating sites for marketing. A majority of the dating traffic is shitty traffic overall. When your performers are paying you over 50 percent, your ass should spend the cash to market your site well and to the right clientele.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
More than likely its affiliates busting their asses and brains along with some late nights and open wallets to place these ads.
Trying to pull in new for them and the models.
Affiliates have to make money to continue promoting , not on places that do not allow ADULT SERVICES
One time I did not appreciate what affiliates do for us and how much they do help no matter where they are pulling business for us.
I know for a fact it takes some creative skills to get certain ads placed , words cant be used etc and then realize this place is already swarmed w 5 SM affiliates.
Back to the drawing board.
The other night I logged off at 1am, figured hey I will place these few ads and go to bed.
8am rolls around , im still up , cranking out 380.00 to have a ad placed in a mag for one month and its not a whole page
monthly fees to have a small banner go through a strip clubs television
We get together to cross promote esp golf season.. it use to be just my cammodels link and now Im doing it for everyone.
That is my money, not streamate. I don't even know if this will work but anything to bring in new customers.
Models complain that we are dead, dude, we are trying and you guys just throw it away. :( work it, hustle it.
There is so much work aff do that only if you have been a aff you will understand. It use to be easy, yes. not anymore , those days are dead.
I really hated aff back in the day, thought they where scum etc doing easy work.. its not easy these days
Marketing is not free and it is not cheap.
When I see models bitch where customers come from.. what are you guys as models doing to bring in traffic? Tweeting? Turning on a cam?
If you want YMCA traffic, promote yourself at the YMCA and see how far that gets you as a adult performer.
As far as the ads that show live models, I think you can opt out of those promotions by contacting SM

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
^^^^^^^They are mainly affiliates like TM said and I agree, marketing isn't easy or cheap anymore. I too have contacted several magazines int he past that allow adult promos and some of them are $700+ for a small black and white print ad just for 30 days. I've been doing more research on the promotional places I use and you have to shell out money to make it. I'm starting a new small promo for my cm link but that's gonna cost me a chunk a month and I'll have to be consistent to get results. I'm all about quality conversions, I hate random beggars in my room, but I'd rather have guys that I can sell to than none at all and sit there twiddling my thumbs.
I know of several sites hiring people to PM guys and pretend like they are us so they can "come into our rooms" to chat. Because affiliates promote us any way, and anywhere it will be pretty darn hard to track down our exact profiles so it's best to just ignore it. You could be hotmilf99, or teresabigboobs on one of the thousands of dating sites out there so there really is no way to find them out but you can try an image search on your online pics.
The point is to bring guys to your/our room and that is obviously working. If they ask you to meet up, just say no and keep it moving. Even if they stopped dating traffic it's not going to stop random guys asking you/us to date/marry/fuck them so I just take it as part of the business and not think anything of it.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
Also, AFF (adult friend finder) has their own cams.com affiliate on their page (no pop-under/ups necessary) if you go on AFF (adult friend finder) right now you will see a link saying "live sex" or something and it takes you right to a cams.com page full of girls online lol. They don't hide this at all.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
Just treat it like a fetish. Deep down these guys know they're as likely to date us as the impregnation guys are to get us knocked up. It's all a big roleplay to me.
Glamour if you want to PM me I do have the URL of a site that had a profile up for me, but I mainly bookmarked it for shits and giggles. It gives me as being from a totally different part of the country and that is fine and dandy by me.

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
I cant imagine what established aff spend on this.
They go hard core but they are usually bigger than a one man show lol
(basicly im saying , its traffic , grab it)

Re: Dating Sites promoting Cam Models Question
^^What's AFF stand for? thanks
