Re: Life as a Male Stripper
There is still time, you are only in your mid thirties. I say go for it! Women like men of all shapes and sizes just like men like women of all shapes and sizes, I leaned that here on stripper web.

Re: Life as a Male Stripper
This thread makes me think i may have a niche. I am pretty sure I could get women to pay me to keep my clothes on.
Re: Life as a Male Stripper
^^ HAHAHA.
My friend was a male stripper. He didn't make enough to justify it apparently... and he hated it. I think the women were a little crazy and scared him.
Re: Life as a Male Stripper
As Life would have it, there are a fair number of straight male strippers working in the gay male stripclubs here in Key West. And no, not all of them are muscleboys. I was very surprised a while back to hear this one customer who was always hanging around the clubs trying to pick up the strippers was doing it. I could break this guy's back with one hand tied, and he didn't have the male model type face that's for sure--but a girl who told me she saw him said he had nice abs, at least.
But in most markets I'd be very surprised to see 'average' type guys stripping and making anything at all. The notion that women or men like all kinds of body types is highly overrated, from my experience working the clubs--I mean when that notion includes people clearly out of shape physically. Though the serious hustlers are sometimes exceptional, generally speaking the out-of-shape dancers don't make shit compared to the ones who maintain themselves physically. And I bet that is if anything more true in the majority of male stripclubs.
Re: Life as a Male Stripper
I would be terrified of stripping if I was a guy.
My brother in law did it once as a promo for the dance club he worked at.. He got dragged off the stage after about a minute and his clothes were completely torn. It isn't easy to tear legit firefighting turn outs...
Chicks get crazy, but if you don't mind being mauled it's great money.

Making lots of money just going out and dancing naked for women. But of course alot of the companies want you to have model type hunk looks, have a jock bodybuilding type body, and know how to dance and strip.
From these videos it looks like great gig...

I think you should do it :) I just love male strippers the most :)
Re: Life as a Male Stripper
i used to be friends with a bunch of male strippers, they were all the classic types though..very tall, buff, muscley guys with perfect hair. most of them liked trolling the strip clubs looking for a lay and refusing to get dances though :/
go for it. they don't get the same kind of stigma that female strippers get for the most part
Re: Life as a Male Stripper
You'll never know until you try. Just keep in mind the time commitment that is required to maintain your look. You'll be spending several hours a day just working on your looks (gym, tanning, shaving/waxing/ etc). I've known a lot of MMA athletes who use dancing to help pay the bills. Since they are already in really great shape, it's just a matter of getting themselves pretty enough to do the job. Also, they have learned the art of body makeup to conceal scars and bruises from their athletic pursuits.
The key to getting more gigs is to submit a photo where you are smiling. The ladies always request the smiling guy who has some physical flaws over the the guy with the perfect bod who looks like he just ate cut glass or something, lol!

That makes sense. I bet male strippers are as sexually uninterested in their clientele as we are.
