can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
long time lurker here..I plan on auditioning sometime next month after i lose about 10 pounds. in the meantime im trying to practice as much as possible. Im going to be auditioning at black clubs and from what i hear twerk skills are a must. I've pretty much been watching youtube vids and trying to copy what i see.
ps excuse my hair haha my 1 year old likes to pull on it :D
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
the link doesn't work but it doesn't matter because you should just go in and audition tomorrow anyway. you'll either get hired or you wont - if not go back in a month like you were planning to. and once you get there you'll realize how much it's not a big or scary deal :)
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
Agreed w/ both the link not working & that you are overthinking it. Just take the plunge, like anything else either you'll get picked on the first go-round or not. If you do not get hired at that first choice then don't be afraid to try other clubs while you work on getting right to get hired there.

OMG! I was wondering why no one was commenting i thought i must have sucked that bad lol
The reason I want to wait to audition is because I have a pudgy stomach that Id like to get rid of to increase my chances of getting hired at one of the nicer clubs. In the meantime I just like to play around on camera experimenting to see what looks good and what doesnt. I just feel stuck on certain moves. Anyway Heres the videos, hope you guys can see this:

It's not a bad idea to just start now in a "less nice" club, actually! Less nice clubs often have less competition and that can make starting out as a dancer much more favourable since you can ease yourself in. You can work on your hustle while getting in tip top shape, and then move up to a nicer place where you'll be able to hit the ground running/experience less of a learning curve.
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
You have a beautiful body. Just move slower and more sensually.
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
well you looked better than i did when i first started, so you'll be fine. don't expect to blow everybody away and look like a pro your first time anyways, because it won't happen. you just gotta get more comfortable and learn while you work
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
You look pretty good for a newbie! Practicing in front of the camera so you can watch it back is a great way to improve, btw. That's what I did before I started, too.
I second Shanna's suggestion. Just start as soon as possible, even if that means a lower teir club. Everything will fall into place. Your moves and your hustle will improve, and you will loose weight/tone up faster.
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
Stripping alone won't help you lose weight. A friend of mine pointed this out the other night. You're probably gonna be stressed, so if you're of age you might buy a drink or 2...then add to it the odd hours dancers keep and that's a recipe for eating crap food.
Start at a lower tier place but hit the gym too.
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
There are girls who are built like you working at my club, and we are an upscale place. Unless you live someplace ridiculously fancy (NYC/ Upscale Vegas) I'm sure you'll get hired on the spot.
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
Don't know where you are located but you would get hired at any black club down here in miami and depending on your hair and make up at other clubs too.. And the way that you dance looks fine to me. That's how everybody dances down here.
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
You have a great body! And some awesome moves. Dont worry about it, just go in and audition and DO IT!
Also, a lot of people think success in this industry is ALL about looks-and obviously looks and dance moves matter, but its not where the big money is at. It's really all about your sales skills and social skills and whether you know how to make people happy.
Re: can you guys give me some critique on my dancing?
If it's a black club, don't do the "slow, sexy, sensual" thing. You'll stick out, and not in a good way. High energy is a must. I think you're right where you need to be to start. You'll pick up tricks and things along the way. You need a "bad bitch" attitude - exude CONFIDENCE!
