Re: Med school and stripping
So I called the business licensing place in Seattle and they said that they did not put Adult Entertainment licenses online for people to see! So if you live in Seattle (King County) then your license cannot be looked up like all the other ones online. I'm going to talk to my club to see what name they tax under soon...
Re: Med school and stripping
I didn't read all the replies, but I think you'll be okay as long as no one else finds out. I say this only bc you already got the license and you can't undo it so there's no point in freaking out to the point of it affecting you. One thing I will say is that pharmacists actually are doctors though (hence the doctorate degree) and they do work in hospital & family practice settings as well as drug stores.. In my experience pharmacists are held to even more strict standards of professionalism than physicians bc there is a shortage of physicians, particularly primary care, and it just seems like they get away w more. With that said, I'm in the medical field and I know people who have worked as strippers who are all licensed now. The board could really give a crap to be honest, they're more concerned w DUIs and stuff like that. I dont think they check beyond a criminal history. I've had to do background checks for hospitals and only criminal crap was checked for... Actually a minor criminal citation that I always put on my apps didn't even show. Its not the boards I would be worried about really, its the employers. The job is not in demand anymore and I have friends who are having a hard time getting jobs. This applies mainly to cities and in demand areas, but if you wanna work in a rural area then you might be ok. If no one finds out about your work history then you'll be fine anywhere. People can just be judgmental and the job market is honestly crap right now so id just be very extremely careful
