got refund everyday..:(
wait your title says you got a 96 USD refund I'm assuming this means a customer did a charge back and naked.com took the money from you. but when you say you got refunded every day I assume this has happened quite a bit?
If I'm correct I would leave naked.com as you are getting ripped off.
I have also been getting significant chargebacks every single day for the past couple of weeks. Also, chargebacks from two weeks ago have still not been refunded to me, even though they used to investigate and refund chargebacks within a couple of days. Within the last two weeks, I have literally woken up to a new chargeback 13 out of 14 mornings. Before that I used to only get 0-2 chargebacks per month on average.
I called naked support a few days ago to find out what the hell is going on, and I was told that site wide there are a lot more chargebacks now because they are using a new billing system. I don't know what that has to do with anything but okay. When I asked when I can expect these chargebacks to be investigated and resolved I was told it can be a day, a week, a month, or A YEAR before that money is refunded. I was also told that because of this new billing system most/all models are experiencing more CBs, not just me (I didn't give my name when I called so support had no idea who I am, I could have been the top model or the bottom model for all they knew, so I suppose it really is site wide).
I agree with the above poster, it's time to find another site because naked is only getting worse and worse and all of us are being ripped off. Actually my last day on there was supposed to be last Sunday because I am tired of this bullshit, but because I was not able to hit an important goal due to CHARGEBACKS I am stuck on there until this Sunday.
^ Courtney I've experienced the same things the past 2 weeks. I've been working w/a payment manager who has been helpful. Anyone who wants the name, PM me. If I posted every problem with them, I'd be in the other Naked thread constantly. Take screenshots of each change & keep a running total of cbs & refunds, even though it's a pain. Also screenshot their fraud policy in case it disappears from the site one day.
That's insane. Something really needs to be done with the credit card companies. There's no reason this billion dollar industry doesn't have a chargeback policy with their customers. If you watch it, or stroke to it you should pay for it.
Via, PM sent :)
You suggested taking screenshots with every change. Does that actually do anything helpful? I have been keeping a record for my own sake just to make sure I am getting everything I am owed when I cash out. It is a bit tricky because we can no longer see the user and amount of each individual CB; when I wake up with money deducted I have no idea if it's from one user or multiple, nor the amount of each individual charge. Will taking screen shots actually prove anything to help them resolve this issue? I am going crazy over here, the last couple of weeks have been horrific and I just want them to clear this up :/
The site has been issuing staggered credits while at the same time deducting for "fraud" almost daily. It's so convoluted that to keep a decent timeline for myself, I have to screenshot each change. Added to this, sometimes a credit will add 19 or 20 back to my earnings, yet in the adjustments section it will only say a credit of 8 or 9. I want every penny I worked for, and under their fraud policy, I am entitled to that. Believe me I get the frustration.

Although honestly? I blame naked more than I blame the cc companies in this particular issue. Most other cam sites don't pass chargebacks onto the model, and I am sure they're all using the same few processors. Naked is making a TON of money every day. There is no good reason why they should be passing CBs to us, especially when they didn't previously. They give away $1,000 a DAY to the top 5 models (split among them, not 1k each). They have a contest standing list that is updated every few hours which lists girls in the order of how much they have made that day. By 5am a few mornings ago I had made $100 my cut, which means naked also made $100 off of me since they split 50/50. I was ranked #40 in the contest. That means 39 more girls made more than me. Just looking at the top 40 girls, that's At Least $4,000 IN NAKED'S POCKET. In one day. By 5am. Now add in how much more than me the girls above me made, how much more the girls below me made, and how much more models made throughout the course of the day. Most high earning girls don't even work the overnight shift, and I estimate that naked makes a TON more during the day and evening shift. I know that is not all profit, they have expenses to pay to keep the site running and I get that, but when I really sat down and estimated how much the site grosses in a day it is absolutely ridiculous to think they cannot cover chargebacks. Either they are greedy motherfuckers who want more and more profit at the expense of their models, or they have no fucking clue how to run a website and are spending entirely too much on unnecessary bullshit.
Reading that just confused me >.< This whole thing is very convoluted. I really, really wish they'd go back to listing each individual chargeback amount, and erasing it once it has been resolved. That made things so, so much easier to keep track of in terms of how much you're still owed after you cash out.
Hypothetically, if I wake up to an adjustment that's $5 more than it was yesterday, I have no idea if that's because I got one chargeback in the amount of $5, or if I got a previous chargeback of $20 refunded and then have a new chargeback for $25, which would make it *look* like they only owe me an extra $5. I really hate not knowing exactly what is going on with my money :/
I think the cc companies need to make the customers responsible. There's cc fraud, and then there's people who don't pay their cc bills. These are the guys who have 5+ ccs and will literally let the charge "fall off" of their credit in 7 years and won't pay it or will say someone stole their cc. This harms the cc companies and they punish the sites we work on.
They are also charging fees to business owners every time they swipe or input in a customer's credit card. My merchant account for my vanilla business charges me about $0.29 per transactions + 2.59% to swipe or manually put in a cc, and $0.29+1.59% if they use their debit cards for a mobile app/swiper. They are getting this on top of the cc holder paying his monthly bill and making bookoo bucks on those who buy the actual cc equipment.
Camming may be taboo, but it's legit legal business. These adult companies take the risk that not all of the customers are going to pay their bills so they need to be the ones making sure they have enough funding to cover a chargeback, not the model.Models do the work and we should be paid in full for it, chargeback or not.
It is not fair to charge a model as if she did something wrong, she has already done her duty. I'm happy for sites like sm who cover cbs but really, we're covering cbs at the end of the day by allowing them to have 65% of our earnings. If you don't have enough funding to cover chargebacks as a business, you need to rethink your business model and stop taking it out on the actual model.
I work for a site that just dropped their pay percentage. They started a company and gave girls 70% and then 2 years later they dropped it down to 50% because they were to stupid to realize guys charge back in the adult business. That 50% they take on naked should be used to cover chargebacks.
We ALL make them enough money to cover site costs, hosting fees, affiliate fees, and everything else. It kills me that most of the bigger sites where we do ALL the actual hard work (and I don't mean paying for traffic) and we're only getting a measly 5% more than the affiliates. How does that make sense? If I'm gonna hire anyone and a customer screws me over after my employees or contractors do their work, that falls on me. Perhaps I should have enough funds to cover my ass, and find quality customers. If we can't take back orgasms given, videos, and shows, then they shouldn't be able to take back our pay for doing them.
100% agree. That's like if I own a sandwich shop and a customer orders and eats a sandwich, then refuses to pay because he claims he didn't like the taste even though he ate the whole thing. Now I'm out of money, AND out of sandwich ingredients that I could have been used to make and sell to someone else. Even though as a cam girl I am not selling a physical product, my time is money. That customer who refuses to pay is taking away time that I could have spent with a customer that actually would have paid me. Once I keep losing from both sides- not getting money from shows I've done AND losing out on potential paying customers while I am doing a show for a non-paying customer- it gets to the point where it isn't worth it anymore and I can no longer afford to keep it up. I've gotten to this point with naked, and I hope they realize that they way they are handling things may be saving them money now, but they are shooting themselves in the foot because they are losing the models that are supposed to keep making them money.
As far as customers who just don't want to pay their credit card bill vs. actual fraud in which their information has been given to another party without their knowledge or consent, once again, I blame naked because I DO see a lot of fraud on the site. They say they are doing something about it, but it's not working. Example: there is one member called "legitaccounts" who keeps spamming models free chat offering to sell naked accounts with credits for 70% less and to message him on Skype. I have screen shotted, reported, and even called support over this issue at least 4 times in the last month. They claim they've blocked him (/her/them?) and yet this person keeps coming back, and I know it's the same person because they always give the same Skype ID. Perhaps if naked would invest in better fraud prevention they (and I) wouldn't be losing so much damn money. Tell me how a long-time member saw a duplicate charge from naked so he requested one of those charges be reversed, and they banned his account for "attempted fraud" when the guy was a paying member and it was actually their mistake. Yeah, they will ban him from the website and ever buying shows again, yet they can't permanently ban someone who's going around selling accounts with fraudulent credit card info? Yeah, okay.
I haven't made any money in tips or pvts from naked since October 23rd, 2013 (as I don't cam there any more) aside from two clips bought, one a few months ago and one last night. No cbs or anything when I check to see if I sold clips last week. Seems fishy that the second I sell a clip on naked this month, that I get a random charge back for 53 cents. it's piddliy and nothing in the long term, but not knowing who did it or why just makes it seem like they are skimming and skeevy. Makes sense to do it to girls who don't check their earnings almost ever but still make the site money through things like clip sales. Anyone know who I have to contact to have them delete my account?
Damn, girl, that's some bullshit. This is exactly why I am, like, 90% sure that they are skimming. If they set our video prices at $9.99 and we get 50%, how the hell you gon' get a chargeback on that for $0.53? Either the guy charged back the entire amount, or he didn't. Makes no sense! Yeah, I guess theoretically that CB could have been from 5 months ago but I sincerely, truly doubt that.
I wouldn't delete your account because you never know when you might need to have an immediate backup, but if you really want to (and I would NOT blame you!) I would just call support at the number listed on the bottom of the model login page. Also? If you are going to close your account can you please tell them why you are leaving? I really want these people to know that the way they have been running their business lately is driving away good models.
ETA: You may think $0.53 too small an amount to get worked up over, but it really isn't if you think about it. Every single girl I have spoken with has been getting more CBs lately, either big ones, or weird little ones. I myself woke up to cb of $0.64, the smallest one I got this week and I don't know where it could have come from. BUT. Think of it this way: the site lists 200 models in the contest rankings, so let's say that hypothetically they are shaving off $0.50 from each model each day. That's $100 that naked would take back in a day, or $3,000 a month. Hypothetically of course, a site could do a lot with an extra $3,000. Now factor in the larger chargebacks, like the poor op. It's astounding to me when I really think about how much money naked is taking back from models without being able to tell us when they'll "investigate" and give it back to us.
I never sold clips on there. Personally I don't see the point. If it was 2012 then maybe because I thought about it. Now? Wouldn't waste my time. They don't allow watermarking or music so once it's downloaded it can be uploaded anywhere. You will not even get the stream of new customers from the men that watch it and want to find out where you are to see you directly. I also think watermarking took away traffic because if a guy recorded you and posted you somewhere other men would have followed that vid back to the site to find you.
Now with the chargebacks issue I thought they stopped doing this and would only take money away from models that were in on the scam. The fact that they are still doing it anyways says that it may have been a ploy to get models to log back in. It's so strange for me to go from $500-$700 a week to seeing a check of $34. It's so bad there now.
Plus all of the new models I see signing up are studio models that probably get a 10% percentage.
Now I don't do any new shows unless I already know the member well. If not then I close the private and tell him no new members sorry.
I mean it's theft on too many levels. No watermarking = you'll be recorded. Then the guy charges back and he post your video up somewhere and make money off of you.
I only uploaded three clips before I opened my c4s store and moved to SM. I'm calling on monday though and closing my model account as I don't want to have anything to do with them from here on out since I don't trust them at all not to some how lie in a few months about me getting a 100$ charge back from last year or something and trying to scam money from me to pay them somehow. I can't trust a site that won't even say who did the chargeback or what day the charge originally was or when the chargeback hit my account.
Actually you can see who did the chargeback. The ones I got last year I found out who the dickbag was.
Don't log into the encoder thing.
Go to
http://models.naked.com/
Log in that way..
Then when you click on " Go Live On Cam" = Don't worry you will not be live it will just open up a separate box.
Click on the side tab under
My Stats
Put in the date range this chargeback popped up and you'll see the note somewhere or the negative amount and then open the detail and you'll find out who it is.
I think it's probably time that we post these fuckers. You know even if they change their name their original name will show up in the stats info.
I did check there. My adjustment that just showed up thursday night after I sold a clip does not appear at any point in the date range when I've checked all the way back to the last day I made any tip or private money back in October.
Interesting! I tried to log in through the link but it would not let me, possibly because I am currently in free chat so maybe I just can't be logged in twice. I will be very curious to see what, if anything, my stats show up as soon as I go on break.
When I called earlier this week and inquired about all these chargebacks I was told that they *are* banning members who do chargebacks. Theoretically, that means that if a guy does a cb there's no need to put him on blast since he can never come back and do one again. However, with this "legitaccounts" fraud guy coming back again and again and again (and if you have cammed in the last month you know what I am talking about) I am not so sure how effective these "bans" are. And, if we are all getting like a bajiliion charegbacks, AND they are supposedly banning accounts who have done CBs, how are there even any members left right now? *suspicious*
ETA: I just logged out and I still cannot log in using that link you gave :( I was able to many months ago, but now I can only log in through the model login link at the bottom of the homepage. That sucks, I was really trying to see if I could make any sense of what's been going on.
