shy black girl from toronto
hi everyone,
my name is naomi and i'm a 25 year old escort living in toronto. i really don't want to do that anymore and have been interested in dancing for a long time. my best friend who dances has always discouraged me by saying i'm too nice and don't have the "right" personality but i'm not going to live my life according to another person's opinion. i suppose i'm what you call thick (blac chyna esque) and i'd like to learn more about working in clubs like KOD because i think my aesthetic would fit well there. that may be too ambitious and i don't even know if canadian girls can work in US clubs but there it is. this community seems so welcoming and informative and i'm very happy to have found it.
please feel free to message me 💋

Welcome around! Dancing in Toronto requires an assertive personality, so depending on what your friend means by "too nice," you may indeed have a hard time in the city. Unfortunately, Canadian gals cannot legally work in the US, though that's not to say you won't find a club that would be willing to hire you anyway.

thanks shanna. i think she's worried i'm too shy or that i'll get my feelings hurt. while i won't deny that this can be true i think i'm much stronger than she gives me credit for. from reading the threads here it sounds like toronto is sort of awful for dancers in terms of being able to find decent, clean clubs though :(. i'm also nervous about getting hired as a black girl because i hear that can be quite difficult too.

Welcome to the site,
I am in Toronto as well, dancing can be hard but if you want to try it go for it. I say try and work in Toronto and see if you can connect with girls that work in Niagara which is close to the US.
I did attempt dancing it wasn't for me these days I am thinking I could dance and use that to get escort clients out of it. but I am pretty happy staying home doing webcamming and escort when I can.
The industry is different in Toronto. some say its over saturated and from experience black girls have to work extra hard in this city.
It sounds like you need more friends who are working in the field - pm me if you want maybe we could meet for coffee since we are in the same city.

it does seem a bit tougher. at the moment i'm working on getting more fit so that i'll be confident when i start applying at clubs. i eventually want to travel to dance but i know i have to figure out what works for me before i do that. thank you for your advice. how do you find camming? i've always wondered about that and pso work but don't really know any girls who are doing it seriously.

If you want to try dancing in Toronto and you are not a barbie, there is no such thing as a clean club. (Brass is rumored to be the only one left, but it's pretty much impossible to work there unless you look like an imported Russian supermodel) Toronto is DISGUSTING. The last club I worked in that city fired me because I didn't want to suck dick. I'm 24 and hot and I get the boot over the 10ish 50 year olds they have still working there that look every day of it? I took my pretty little bum over to the next city where dancing money is twice as lucrative for half the work, thanks. Not to mention no extras for the most part. If you're cool with escorting, you should just stick with that, unless you're cool with escorting in the club, in which case, go for it. All of the clubs are basically brothels with varying levels of discreetness anyways.

The suburbs are a good option if you have a car. I worked in Oshawa and it was alright. I haven't had the means to try a lot of suburban clubs though, but if you really want to give it a go and do it clean, forgo the liscense cost and find somewhere to work outside the city.

Nope, last summer, Palace/Secret East. It's re-opened under a new name. Hit and Miss, but very clean, professionally run place, definitely worth a shot at least.
