Strip club raids. Will I be affected?
So today I read this article and I'm really concerned.

I have Never done any extras, nor do I plan to. I don't drink at work or do drugs. If a club gets raided, what happens to girls who aren't doing anything wrong? Will I be affected?

I'm not going to scare you and say that you personally WIILL be raid like this, but I could see why they did this in San Diego (due to its geographical location). They may be trying to crack down on possible human trafficking.

Sadly, whether you do extras or not doesn't always matter. In some raids, law enforcement has their eyes on certain girls so you're safe; in others, they're only looking for drugs; sometimes though, they just sweep and charge everyone and then the onus is on you to prove you didn't break the local bylaws -- this means getting a lawyer and fighting the charge. You also have to ensure that you really and truly were following the local bylaws, and those don't always necessarily align with club rules.
Point is, you have to know your area. Raids are a non-issue in some cities while a common occurrence in others. Know your local bylaws. Know if raids often happen in your city. Know if there is an election coming up and the city/public are drumming up attention to dirty strip clubs. If there have been raids before, consider consulting a lawyer so you know your options if/when the time comes and have someone to call.
Now, if there is a raid and you are lucky enough to not get swept up in it, you'll still be affected. If the club doesn't close for a certain amount of time, there will certainly at least be a lull in business as the clientele will be too paranoid to return for a while. Other clubs in the area will be flooded with girls -- if not also getting raided, so this + potential to need a lawyer are great reasons to have some savings you can dip into.
But again, this may not even be worth thinking about in your city, so do some research on what happens in your area before you start to worry.

Again, the basic point that needs to be clearly understood is this ...
The exact requirements of state prostitution laws, state lewd conduct laws etc. can vary widely. Under 'strict' interpretations of these laws, it's very possible that a dancer providing a contact lap dance for a ( still fully clothed ) customer meets the technical requirements for being found guilty of prostitution ( because state law treats contact with a clothed or unclothed customer crotch area as being the same ). It's also possible to meet the technical requirements in unconventional ways i.e. in Texas if a customer is tipping at the rail, if two dancers are onstage at the same time, and if one dancer happens to touch the other dancer's breast, they can be busted for prostitution ( because Texas law does not specify that the person paying the money also needs to be one of the persons involved in 'sexual contact' in exchange for that money)
.
Beyond this, various counties and cities may enact their own ordinances which further regulate / prohibit contact between dancers and customers. Under a literal interpretation of some of these ordinances, girls can be found guilty of a sexually related misdemeanor by touching the customer with their hair !!!
The obvious take-away is that the 'business as usual' contact standards at a particular club may in fact violate state prostitution and lewd conduct laws, and/or local anti-strip club ordinances, on a nightly basis ... even though a previous bust has never been made, and even though the club condones / encourages those contact standards. Thus not providing 'extras' i.e. HJ, BJ, FS etc., versus providing those 'extras', may not actually make any difference in regard to potential personal bust from a purely legal / LE standpoint !!!
