What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
This is a sort of mini rant and kind of a brag. Please excuse me.
I am the lightest blonde girl at both my clubs. My hair is almost platinum. It works because I am a light skinned latina. Everyone just assumes I'm Colombian. The majority of the "blondes" at my clubs are orange, brassy blondes who constantly tell me in the dressing room and on the floor that I shouldn't make my hair so light and should color it like their color (vomit. Haven't they ever heard of purple shampoo?). And get extensions. That way my hair won't be so "damaged."
lol I pay them no mind. I get a comment about my hair at least once a shift. Going light blonde was one of the smartest moves I could have made for my money. And my hair is lovely and less damaged than theirs. In fact yesterday I went to the salon and had them cut off four inches because I was dying for a blunt cut (it makes your hair look fuller) and I had around four inches of layers at the bottom of my hair. Even my stylist was like "you are the first bleach blonde girl who has told me to cut off more than an inch." and my hair is still pretty much mid back. I'm a tall girl so taking that into consideration, having bleached, long hair is a miracle for me. But it was possible because I did it slowly over the course of a couple of months.
Most of these brassy blondes' real hair is to their shoulders if they are lucky. And I don't do extensions because I don't want to deal with the upkeep. I once had a guy give me $50 just because I was the only girl whose hair he could run his fingers through. Lol.
Hating ass bitches. Focus on your money and appearance and don't worry about mine. I just smile and nod, and continue to make my hair brighter and lighter.
And I love how these girls tell me I don't need to go to manhattan to get my hair done when their salon in the bronx can do it for $60. -_- you're a walking advertisement for them. No thank you.
Normally I wouldn't rant but yesterday I finally went fully blonde as in no soft roots anymore and my hair is super light. I got a hair cut and I came into work looking fabulous and immediately got "nooo girl why did you do that." And comments about it being bad for my hair all around.
Whatever. I was the only girl that made money last night and it was because my customer had a thing for blondes ;) he was like "it's rare to see a latina with blonde hair that's not the orange shit you see all the time" lol
I think it's stupid and silly that girls tell me not to be too blonde. wtf I am a stripper, i can never be too blonde.
One of my coworkers has the best set of tits. They're fake, but because she is a little chubby, they totally look real and she gets away with saying they are real. Girls love to be like "you should get a breast reduction because that's going to affect you when you're older." Lol silly girls if only they knew...
So this made me think, what things do girls love to critique or advise you on that you find silly? Would love to hear some funny stories.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
Ha, I constantly get advice from the Eastern European girls in the clubs about how to dress.
I pretty much always wear simple lingerie and stockings in black or occasionally red, and I sometimes wear a black dress. I have light skin and blonde hair so it works for me. I make good money, and guys approach me all the time for dances and rooms because they like my look.
But I get approached by girls every day telling me I'd look so much hotter and make much more money if I would just consider wearing hot pink/green with ruffles/zebra print faux fur etc. I've humoured them before and borrowed an outfit as they really are trying to help, but I looked terrible and made no money, so I switched back to my usual stuff.
I get that they like these clothes and make money in them, but it so doesn't work for me!

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
hair too messy, "why do you wear costumes when it's not a theme night", hustle too aggressive, no acrylics, I could go on forever

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
OMG^^ THIS! Im arabic looking and have a dark/sultry look. But I'm constantly getting told about the neon stuff! ARGH! If I wanted an opinion, I'd ask!

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
How bout this for a comeback? "If I wanted to hear from an asshole, I'd fart".:)

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
Things I hear all the time:
"You should wear more revealing clothing"
"You should really start doing extras, you'll make more money"
"Why are your ears gauged and your face is pierced, are you like some sort of goth rocker?"
"How do you survive by not doing extras?"
*screams inside head*

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
One girl who used to wear corsets (like myself) would always be like "DID YOU BUY THOSE FOR DANCING? YOU KNOW YOU DON'T HAVE TO WEAR CORSETS TO DANCE RIGHT" lolol. I love how people tell me what looks good or bad on me. I'm still going to do whatever I want to do, and nothing can change that.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
I"ve been told to "get a tan!" by other girls in every club I've walked into.
I'm a natural redhead with Scottish/Welsh roots. I DON'T tan. I burn and go back to white! lol!
Then I'm told to try a fake tanner. I actually have before...It looks terrible on me and doesn't look right at all with my RED hair and eyebrows!
Guess who hasn't complained about my paleness? The customers...They love it. I've been told too many times about how beautiful my skin is to change it. Also it makes me stand out from the others.
I don't find it offensive though. I just assume the girls have the best intentions and are just trying to help. But beauty comes in many forms and men appreciate them all.:)

At the moment, being an American! At home I just got some rude comments about being a redhead and one girls asked me if I ever thought of getting breast implants.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
How I don't do pole tricks. Lmao. Bitch please. I make more money wiggling my pinky toe than you do exerting yourself for chump change. My tits are like a T-Rex's jaws. We don't need anything else to nab our prey.

Ukranian girls I'm guessing?
Either way, I'm pretty lucky. Most of the girls I work with ignore me. But I will say that a former "best friend" once pushed my upper lip up and said "You'd be really pretty if you got lip injections."
WTF MY LIPS ARE FINE

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
when i was blond and skinny, i got lots of girls telling me to go back brunette, get a boob job, etc. now that i've gained a ton of weight and and now a light brunette, i don't get anybody trying to tell me to change anything. whether they were doing it out of jealousy and trying to make me look bad, or they really were trying to be helpful, i'll never know

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
I get told I should change my name to Marilyn, or get a white dress like the one in the 7-year-itch. I stopped wearing hair extensions and suddenly everyone thinks I'm trying to be Marilyn Monroe. Just because I'm a white girl with wavy bleach-blonde hair.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
When I first started dancing, a dancer suggested me to wear stuff with colors (I used to wear nothing but black back in my early days). Well, I guess she meant well: I started making bank once I wore colors.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
I had some bitch call me "lardbucket" 3 years ago. Yes I was fat and I did it to myself. Fast forward 3 years and 30 llbs. I see this bitch at my work, 30 llbs HEAVIER. She saw me and all the color left her face. I relished every spiteful second especially her husband watching me. "And what bitch? Who's the fat fuck now?" Never underestimate what cold hard rage can do for motivation. 3 years of busting my ass has been worth it.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
"You aren't going to make any money if you don't do extras!" (Eff all those girls, let me just say...)
Plus I bruise super easily, so I always have bad bruises all over my legs I've gotta cover with make-up. I get a lot of comments about that.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
^ I have that same problem, I'm anemic so my legs and arms are always covered in bruises from the pole. When people question if I have "a man", I always reply "I have 99 problems but a pimp ain't one!"

HAHAHA! I love it! I'm also soooo glad to see I'm not the only girl who gets a thousand bruises a day. :)

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
I had a few girls tell me I should darken my eyebrows when I started dancing. They were right, I look way better after a good penciling in. They are too light.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
Wear taller heels since I draw the line at 5" to spare my joints. I am abt average hgt w/o them, 5'6 so Idk where the hell that comes from. Maybe they just want to get a kick out of seeing me stumble all over the club all damn nite.
Do fewer pole tricks b/c I make the 'less athletic' girls look bad.
Too aggressive hustling when turned down. Bugger off -- if I think there is a chance of turning a no into a yes, you're damn right I'm gonna try!
Clocking customers who touch inappropriately or try to grab. I can sm what understand mgrs calling me on this b/c it is obviously bad for their business, but I was shocked to be told off by a couple dancers I worked w/ a few yrs ago for 'right off resorting to violence' -_-
I have been told to tan, but after I came into work one nite w/ a sunburn(completely unintentional of course) & they all got to see how well I DON'T tan, they STFU on that subj real quick.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
It's really good to read some critiques which helped girls too....It doesn't always come from a nasty place. i know some people prefer to go their own way but sometimes other dancers are being supportive in giving advice/criticism even if it feels like something else :)

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
Ohhhh I feel like those catty girls have a sixth sense when a girl is a bit voulnerable or insecure. I hate unsolicited "helpful hints" and I have gotten them over my pale skin and I have seen girls who are flawless reduced to crying because some hag tried to "help her" UGH!!!!!

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
I wear leg warmers all the time at work. It is always cold there and my feet are always freezing. One dancer in particular I work with is always telling me that they look "so horrible" and that I should take them off. Funny how I always seem to do better than her when we work together.

Re: What Do Girls Love to Critique You On?
What I wear and my skin color. I get a lot of shit for being "too white". I'm actually several shades darker than normal due to melanotan but I still get shit about it. Get the fuck over it racists, I'm white. It's really not that big of a deal.
