I made one, and put my real address on there. Does it ever tell that to the buyer?!

I'm pretty sure you're safe AS LONG AS the item says "sold by Amazon". I've never had an issue with buyer getting my address except one time, that's how I found out about the fufilled by Amazon thing. You can always get a P.O. box to be extra safe!
Afaik, if you put your real address it shows up in the 'profile' section of your wish list. I just get items on my list with gift cards sent to my email; I feel that it's safer until I get around to getting a mail forwarding service or PO box.
Yes it does give them your address that's why the men that can't even spend a dime ask for it. They all just want to know where you live. Just leave e-giftcards on your wishlist amd see how many go to buy one. Take your city state and address off of your acct now unless you want some guys showing up at your front door because there will always be someone that will think about doing just that.
Also there are cam guys that will purchase items then cancel everything they ordered + get your address. Again don't do it. Unless you have a P.O.box or mail forwarding service don't get caught by the creeper cam guy.
Every guy that asks is always looking for my address details. Since they can't find any they never buy anything off my wishlist.
yep yep. i thought i did everything perfectly to avoid that BUT a cam regular who is now a good friend has alerted me to certain ways dudes can troll me IRL.
It was surreal (not creepy, though it would be terrifying from anyone else) when he sent me a screen shot of my house on google street view AND said my address on Amazon.
You can hide your address, but the shipping name and city will still be public. Here's how you protect your address:
After you've created your wishlist:

(2) Select this:

(3) Make sure these boxes are unchecked.

(4) Only add items to your wishlist that are distributed by Amazon, not third party vendors.
It's terribly annoying they give your city, because I live in a town of 500 people! Also, here in Canada Amazon delivers only with UPS and UPS won't deliver to PO Boxes. Suck.
So I've stopped promoting my wishlist, if they want to gift me, they'll have to send an e-gift card to amazon gift certificate.
Definitely safer not to do third party and stick with only Amazon, but a very persistent creeper can find your address even if it's shipped by Amazon which is why I took everything off mine except emailed gift cards and changed my location to another state.
Sophia, does CA have any UPS stores where you can get a POBOX? Anyway, ladies it's best to get giftcards and redeem them right away unless you have a box. Even if your address is hidden, buyers CAN call customer service and ask them for your address.
Because they are sent as gifts amazon allows buyers to "double check" the right address if they want. A custy can easily call amazon to get your address because they are the buyer. I had a sub wish to purchase $2k worth of stuff and I had him buy giftcards instead and I sent it to myself. He tried to argue that he wouldn't be able to see my address but I've obviously been dealing with amazon since 07' so I know what I'm talking about.
Think about it, if someone had the intentions of buying something off your list and your address was hidden and they paid for it, if they chose to cancel or "check up" on the package they can get your address because they are the ones who paid for it. Amazon is only a middle man and they assume gifts are from people we know/trust.
If I was a paid shipping service I'd trust the person who purchased it as well because they are the ones with the money. Unfortunately we deal with custys who may wish to hurt us or stalk us. Don't do it! I had a amazon shipped item before and then a few days later I received a random package with a book in it with no address on it. Amazon somehow gave an affiliate or something my info so please know that your address is still visible even when hidden.
How do I know what's distributed by amazon and not a third party? I tried to find out, it's all Chinese to me!
I was reading industry news and come across this article
Adult Drop Shipper Launches MySexyWishList.com
its what was said down the page that was interesting that
recent news of Amazon’s cancellation of adult performers’ wish lists was
stated even though this is not recent news from the little research i found.
just we should vigilant of the issues that could arise from using amazon.
This is another article
I know that amazon can't deliver packages to po boxes. Since amazon ships their stuff with UPS I'm assuming you can receive packages from amazon through them? If so, that's amazing! I was thinking about using a mail forwarding service but with the added shipping costs it would only be worth it if I was receiving a lot of items. I'm definitely going to look into this.
I can't put my address on my amazon wishlist because I live in a small town and it would be incredibly easy to find me even with just the city.
