Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I know there are PLENTY of threads on Amazon Wishlists, but I'm starting this thread to ask a question that doesn't really get answered on other threads? At least not a lot (I've been reading through Amazon Wishlist threads for the past hour).
Is there anyone here who actually uses Amazon Wishlists and puts their home address and doesn't worry about the whole privacy thing? And if you have, have you had any bad experiences? (Stalkers or whatever)
Also while we're here does anyone have any stalker stories to share?
I'm just curious as to how often this stuff actually happens.
Thanksssssssssssss. :3
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
Even if the odds are very low that you'd be stalked, the stakes are so high (your life and sanity) that it doesn't seem worth the risk.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
Worst question ever. Don't put your real address out there for anyone. Why would you? That's just asking for stalkers.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I'll answer. Mine goes to a real address, just not mine, an ex-military friend. When I asked him about using his address for my gifts, I told him there was the possibility of stalkers. He laughed and said he could handle that without a problem.
As far as I know I either haven't had stalkers, or they decided against causing problems with the big guys who live at 'my' address.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I have a stereotypical girly username because... I'm pretty stereotypical and girly? I've been lurking on this forum forever, the reason I never post is because whenever I do I get catty responses or belittling responses and it makes me anxious, embarrassed and uncomfortable. It's already happened :/ that's why I deleted my last account...that and I didn't want my stage name as my username (as was the case with my old account). How do I delete a post? I regret this already :(
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
Thanks for answering, you're so lucky to have an ex-military friend haha.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
Are you serious right now? Anxiety is an actual thing, sorry if it sounds over dramatic to you but that's how it feels to me, catty comments make me anxious. I mentioned it because I was questioned as to why I had a stereotypical username. I'll delete the question, I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was so weird to ask.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
The buyer doesn't see your address when they get you a gift through your amazon wishlist.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I don't use wish lists because I'm not willing to risk something happening where the buyer winds up with my shipping address, which has happened with other models. And no, I'm not spending money on a P.O. Box, and going out of my way to get to it to pick up mail. I heard about how a model's boyfriend went to pick up her mail for her, and some dude had been following him to her damn P.O. Box! I'm not gonna be dealing with mess like that just to get some gifts.
If guys really want to "spoil" me or make me happy, they can tip me directly on MyFreeCams, or send me an Amazon e-gift card, or GiftRocket. I know a model who said she wasn't making her MFC goals for a while, because guys were buying items off her wish list instead of tipping her. Yeah, being able to buy food and pay bills, etc. is way more important to me than getting stuff off Amazon that I don't really need. I'm also not crazy about some guy telling me what he wants to buy me, picking out some big 'ole elephant-dick sized dildo, and expecting me to use it and name it after him. LOL.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
That's a really good way to put it. Hearing it said like that really puts things into perspective. It's just so tempting, you know? You hear about these models getting all sorts of crazy stuff from generous guys that I've been wanting to hop on the bandwagon...:D But honestly the hassle of setting up a mailbox and whatnot just seems like too much. I think I'll just stick to having a wishlist (with no shipping address), then having guys send me an Amazon giftcard with the exact amount telling me what to buy. I hope guys aren't turned off by that idea :P
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I'd much rather get money or an amazon ecert so I can buy what I need(think household items off amazon such as toilet paper, etc) rather than what someone wants me to have any day. Most of the time they only buy me lingerie or shoes.. how much lingerie or shoes do I really need? After 7 years you have a closet full! haha.

I remember feeling this way when I first started posting on SW. It made me feel like I was back in high school, and I was the 'loser'! I'd have anxiety before posting, and I'd overthink everything I wrote.
Please stick around and don't be afraid to post. You'll get the occasional response that makes you feel anxious, but mostly SW is very supportive and helpful. Sometimes people are just wary of newbs to the forum.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
You can use a mailing service that gives you an address in another state entirely and ships to you. I have heard of them but haven't used one but from what I've looked up they seem secure if you want to do a wishlist.

I have a wide variety of stuff on my wish list including a bunch of gift cards so that it's not just limited to sexual items. :)
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
Don't feel bad, glitterbaby. I've been on these forums a long time, I'm verified, and I still get anxious about posting a lot of the time. Anxiety disorders FTW!
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
Please don't have your real address public. That is just asking for trouble.
I don't even have a wishlist public, nor my address. If people send me gift cards, they go to my email address. I am like TheBrownFox, I would rather not waste my time with a P.O. box. More trouble than it's worth. In my opinion, anyway.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I feel like in the end it's probably better to buy toys and goodies yourself anyways, so you can claim it on taxes later if possible. But I suppose that is just how I think.

so do I, and they never buy anything I need. Only things they WANT me to have like lingerie and shoes.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I don't think anyone is that stupid. But, I may be wrong lol.

This. They say they wanna spoil us and make us smile, but they really wanna buy something that will benefit them...such as the sexy lingerie they want us to wear, or the big dildo they want to see us fuck. Don't get me wrong...there's nothing wrong with sexy lingerie. :) It's just a bummer when a guy's idea of "spoiling" you and "making you smile" means he picks out the gift.
Sorry if this is starting to sound like a pet peeves post. Lol. But I know people who offer to do something nice for you, and after they do it you never hear the end of it. "Why you gonna play me like that? I bought you that gift that one time!"
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I agree with you ladies. I tell the guys that a gift is a gift and I will pick them out something only if they spoil me enough where I can pick out an item as well. I've actually never had a guy send a gift card for something he wants me to wear unless I get something of my own as well. I mean, a wishlist is a wishlist and should be for that purpose. If they send a giftcard, it should be for an item YOU chose on your list. If they want something they need to add more money to that giftcard. Have no fear, there are guys who really do want to spoil you. I just got a ton of expensive shit (bed, kitchen items, new laptop, furniture, and amazon prime paid for) and I chose to get him a few things but I picked those out too.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
There are toy stores with secure wishlists that don't share your address or name with customers. The store in my signature is one of them and it has lingerie and shoes too.
Re: Amazon Wishlist and Stalkers
I agree with the ladies as well. I never had any problems with my items being send to my po box. I would never use my real home address because that is just asking for trouble! Usually, many of my crusties send me pretty tame stuff such as horror films, beauty items, music and old-fashion victorian novels :) Many of these gifts were handpicked by myself. Mostly, they just tip instead of using the wishlist. Since I worked for a few phone sex dispatcher companies, a lot of my gifts are send straight to them and they asked me to pick them up. However; one crustie send a wedding dress and huge wedding cake to one of companies I worked for. This man also send over a wedding ring as well to my phone sex character. Those were the gifts that I did not want ;(
