Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
Mine:
Your Super Serious Title is: The Moon Goddess Empath
Your Total Score: 66 out of 80
Your Out of Control Healer Score: 10 out of 10
Your Protection Tools Score: 20 out of 25
How Much You Mirror Others Unconsciously Score: 14 out of 15
Your Appreciation for Nature Score: 6 out of 10
You scored extremely high on the overall results. You are definitely an empath.
You are highly intuitive and can almost always tell when people are lying. You don't need to be near water which means your second chakra is probably doing well. You like the hustle and bustle of the city! This is highly unusual for empaths! You have a deep love and appreciation for nature. You recognize the sacred expression of all beings. You are truly wise. But you have a wonderful ability to sway and change the moods, energies, atmospheres, and environments around you.
You need to learn how to recognize and differentiate other people's energy from yours. Learning psychic/empathic meditation tools will help. You scored extremely poorly on the "Mirroring Others Unconsciously" portion of the quiz. It looks like you have a tendency to mirror other people and their energy. Your score indicates that you would benefit from learning to recognize your own energy vs other people's and cord removal most likely.
You scored pretty low on the "Has Protection Tools" section of the quiz. This means that you need to learn how to protect your aura. You also might benefit from cord-removal and other energy work. You are a wonderful and loving person. You are also what is known as an "out of control healer!" You would benefit immensely from energy work and empathic tools for releasing guilt and responsibility.

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
Hello all! Thought I'd say hello and hopefully get someone to kick my ass :)
I have depression, and lose motivation really easily... Been on SM for an hour and now just really want to go to bed, even though it's been going pretty well...

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
^^ I had deep depression for a few weeks, and I tried really hard to lift myself up out of it, What I did was start to take my cod liver oil again, went on walks as much as i could and sometimes LONG ones like for an hour.... I meditated, did some other workout programs, no alcohol, eat healthy and take my female herbs from dr schulze and cold showers for a few minutes.. and it went away and now i feel even keeled and calm... So I hope that some of these tips can help you.

Thank u A-C, my tongue is very sensitive & 'cracked', i always have problems eating tomatoes, eggplant & some other foods, this time my taste buds got really irritated, swollen & painful. I remember many years ago my tongue was very irritated, swollen, bigger & color changed to blueish purple, ewww, i was a teenager, somehow it healed on it's own that time. Getting better here now & looks like i need to avoid certain foods & ask at the drug store for a remedy or something, maybe a special mouthwash. Jeez, i always have health issues here :(
-
Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
^^ well are you eating healthy?? or doing anything to assist your body?? I don't think a special mouthwash is going to cut it...lol.. just my opinion.. maybe hydrogen peroxide might help? that's my go to mouthwash.. and it also makes the breath sweet...

That sounds very painful! I wonder if it's an allergic reaction. I would definitely avoid those foods. I can't use certain toothpastes like Colgate or Crest. They make my gums slough off. My dentist told me a lot of people are allergic to one of the ingredients.

I decided to forget pills and I've been doing better overall since school ended. Now I'm in graduate school and the stress is coming back. My family and friends don't recognize bipolar disorder as a real issue, so I have no support from them. When you're bipolar, you need to know your limits and respect them to keep episodes less severe. Camming is good for people with this disorder though, as you can take breaks when you need to. It sounds like you really pushed yourself this week. You should do something you enjoy to relax and reward yourself. Camming takes a lot of energy, but I've found that it's still much less stressful than vanilla jobs with all things considered. I hope you can rejuvenate yourself and get back to making that $$ :)
Thanks for sharing ladies. I am starting to realize there are several bipolar ladies on SW, I am one (well that is what the doc said anyway). I stopped taking the pills. They just kept wanting to give me more pills. I still had the same issues I had when I was off the pills just a less severe edition but with the added sensation of feeling like I was drugged and really not functioning well. I weaned myself off (PLEASE WEAN OFF NOT COLD TURKEY).
I started researching how to manage bipolar without the pills and I am grateful. I feel like my head is screwed on right for once. It is a lot of work but you become super healthy. If you are interested in how I manage PM me - it is not pot lol. This movie was also beneficial in helping me decide to stop taking my pills. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uj8hqXd7N_A Stephen Fry interviewed several bipolar individuals from different walks of life. Two words - FISH OIL.
Now I am at the crossroaads again, trying to decide on quitting my day job. I have pretty much made up my mind, but the leap can be daunting. I have done it twice before so I am not worried. Camming does provide the flexibility one needs with Bipolar. The depression side of it though what I fear when camming. I get depressed for 2 weeks and my income is out the door which leads to other problems. I have not been unusually depressed for a long time, but I fear it will eventually swing its ugly head back my way. I am Bipolar II so I swing often, like rapid cycling. So I think I am doing a great job at managing it.
We bipolar people get manic and then tend to bite off more then we can chew thinking we can do everything. Then it turns into stress. Stress can lead to depression. I have learned I am not superwoman no matter how much I want to be.
A thought just popped into my head. If anyone is interested in an online weekly/bi-weekly/monthly meetup via video chat (you totally do not have to be on cam, just your voice is cool) for bipolar support group I am in. We can start a private group here if you want. OP - thanks for starting this thread

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
yes i take cod liver oil regular.. it's awesome.. really keeps you calm , light and smiley.. NO SHIT.. .. I do not take it EVERYDAY.. but most days!... Everyone with a mental disorder should take it.. I do not have Bi-polar but alot of my family members claim to.. I saw a psychiatrist once and she just diagnosed me with PTSD.. Nothing else... which is good for that as well...lol.. I just get depressed mostly when shit goes wrong or i am drinking alcohol a known anti-depressant.

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
I got hit with some bad news earlier today that pretty much ended up bending me so far that I broke. My busy to-do list got thrown out the window and instead was replaced with an all-day appointment where I ended up crying all my makeup off and chemically numbed myself to the fucking unfairness of the world.
Today is a total wash but tomorrow is a brand new day, right? :(

@justanothercamgirl - This was a really nice thing to post about. You made me tear up a little. This is what it's about girls , helping and supporting each other. Oh and I'm a huge Queen fan so that made my day.

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
I've been lurking on this thread, wondering if I qualify for being "sick" enough, but after the last two days, I think I do.
So I know I suffer from depression, but I think I also have some mild manic episodes as well. It wouldn't surprise me if I do have Bipolar II, but that's just a self-diagnosis (I have a Bachelors in Psychology). I also have a mystery illness that I have been tested up the wahzoo for - extreme fatigue, muscle pain and weakness, back and joint pain that makes it difficult to even move some days, brain fog, and I tend to catch any bug that my kids bring home. All of those symptoms come and go randomly. One day, I'll barely make it out of bed and spend the day on the couch…other days I'm biking 16 miles, cleaning house, and camming late into the night. The last two days, I've been recovering from a stomach bug that has wiped me out mentally and physically. I feel like a wrung out dishcloth.
I'm sure a lot of my problems can be attributed to my weight and depression, and when I switched to a nearly all raw, vegan diet, with fish oil and vitamin added in, I felt incredible. I think after this virus works it's way through me and I can handle real foods again, I'm going back to that way of eating. I'm hoping that will help get me better! Thank you guys for giving me a place to talk about all of this without judgement. I hope you all are having good days!

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
^^ I swear by Dr Schulze's products. www.herbdoc.com I have one of the MOST stressful lives here. I have been on OVERLOAD for almost 15 yrs now and now 42... Without these products I would NOT be able to live my daily life at all.. I take them all the time without question.
P.S .. I am NEVER sick!.. like never for over a decade..

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
^^ I've taken a few looks at his website, and I definitely think I could benefit from a lot of his stuff. I've studied herbal medicine since i was 16, and most of the supplements in his products I've used over the years. I'd love to try it, but at this point, it's far too expensive for my budget. I'm taking Usana supplements because my best friend is a Usana rep and she'll trade homemade breads and dinners for supplements. Usana definitely is quality stuff. I can tell the difference when I've stopped taking my vitamins for a few days.
Thank the gods for my boyfriend. He sent me my birthday present and I got to open it this morning on Skype with him (he lives in the UK). Two books from one of my favorite authors, a day pass to the really expensive spa in town, a t-shirt that smells like him (YUM!), and a three page, handwritten letter that made me bawl like a baby with happy tears. Nothing makes me feel better than when he's around, either online or in person!

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
I am running out of money.
I am running out of health.
I am running out of options.
But it ain't over until it is over right? No point counting myself out until the fight is really over.
If there was a soundtrack to my life, this would be the theme song.
