Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
I wanted to come back to this thread and post an update - major major health improvements for me when I really had given up hope at regaining my health. I really thought this was my new normal and just had to deal.
I had gotten dental insurance finally so I went in and had some failed root canals pulled. These few teeth were too fragiie and also had gotten infections under the root where no amount of flossing or brushing could ever reach. I have read that over the years most root canals will eventually have this, but I had NO idea that it was making me feel so sick. I was horrified that I was losing those teeth but had I known the health improvements I would have from it I would have realized how worth it it is. They made me a tiny light partial denture that I'm adjusting to well (actually looks prettier than my natural teeth did) and wow the difference in how I feel!
My energy level is way better, had a slight cold last week and kicked it with mega vit. c and ONE night of rest. usually that would have kicked my ass for a week.
Also I went in for a checkup and found my blood pressure was running high so my doc tried me on propranolol (generic inderal) to get it to normal plus help prevent migraines I had been having and wow, that helped me feel better too. That high BP had been also sapping my energy and omg omg another blessing from it is I have had two very very mild migraines in a month and 1/2 Imitrex pill knocked them right out instead of a whole day or more of pain and another day recovering.
I've tripled my work hours and even though I'm tired at the end of the day this is a good tired, not the exhaustion I had before. I keep being surp;rised every single day when I wake up and feel normal again!!
Just wanted to share my good fortune and say - don't give up! I would still be super sick if I hadn't happened on some good doc/dentists who ferreted out the issues I was having and worked with me to fix it. I've been through a few and sometimes you just have to fire them and try another one till you find one that will actually listen.

And Valium to stop the panic. They would have me back to normal within 2 hours.
Thank you. Meclizine isn't available in Canada, unfortunately, it used to be, but they banned it a few years ago. The method here is to give drugs for anxiety and then things like Beta-Histamines (which take weeks to kick in) :( So annoying! I am going to ask for some Valium for the panic when I see my GP though. Thankfully, I am passed the height of my attack, but I'd love something to take the edge off. You poor thing being hospitalized!! Yikes! :(

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
^^Oh btw if this helps, I don't know if you know this but lying down tends to makes the dizziness worse. I would lay down during my attacks but I noticed that when I'd have to get up to use the bathroom that I'd actually feel a little better and sure enough I read that lying down makes it worse so try sitting up and see if it helps any.

Wanted to share something I just found. I might try this. Was in a dollar store today, was fine, until I was in line at the checkout.
When the line behind me started to fill up, and the cashier was hella slow, I could feel my entire body get weak, and my heart started pounding.
It was sooo hot in there also, which sadly brings on panic attacks.
the only reason I went to this particular store is that it had reviews on yelp that mostly seniors go there. No such luck.
The place was filled with families and screaming kids. Arghh!:'(
Yes!!! I was going to post this coping mechanism as well. I do it all of the time!!!

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
Anyone got anything for paranoia? Minor corner-of-eye hallucinations, sounds, tinnitus and generally feeling as though there's always something behind me, in the closet or behind the next door. Doesn't strike often but all I can do when it does is move anything that has eyes (paintings, sculptures, plush toys, photos), remove all mirrors and cuddle with the dog in a well-lit, warm room until I feel better. Valerian root sometimes takes the edge off the fear, but the paranoid aspect is still there. So eyes on dolls are absolutely moving, I'm just not scared of them.

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
Sounds like you could be experiencing Adrenal Fatigue and or High Cortisol Levels..
Your sensitivity to light and anxiety is a sign of it. Was trying to find a link about the sensitivity to light but couldn't find it.. here's a few links you can check out.

I will go sometimes months without one then all of a sudden i have them every single day for awhile. They are so unpredictable i hate that. Even though ive had them most of my life, you never seem to get used to them when they come on feels like the first time experiencing it but after a few mins i can start trying to calm myself down, just is so scary when they happen. It literally is draining my energy, and sometimes when they are so bad it wears me out to the point i just fall asleep during them if im laying down. Hope they ease up and go away for a bit.

Like I told you in another post.. these are ALSO signs of Thyroid or adrenal problems.. I know what you are talking about.. Mostly your adrenals are being affected if you get startled easily , freaking out about things..

Orange Juice helps you? you say? hmmm sounds like what I wrote to you in another post.. Adrenal Fatigue and/or High Cortisol Levels at the wrong times.
You can try what is called an Adrenal Cocktail .. google search the exact recipe and research it .. But all it is , is Orange Juice, cream of tartar and sea salt. or you can use a different Citrus if you prefer

I dont know but i get really tired before one comes on and if i can catch it, drinking orange juice right before it goes full blown or even after seems to help. If you havent tried it see how it works maybe its in my head that it does but i could almost swear to it since it works every time. Best buy is horrible with the lighting so i avoid that store as much as possible. And i bet it was a little of both with you at the store, some employees are probably sick of all the chaos and its so hectic and stressful during this time so maybe it was them having a bad day and that all combined. When there is alot of people i feel claustrophobic and it intensifies the anxiety. Hope you do ok in the store later, hoping for the best and you dont have another. Sometimes i get multiples in a day and thats exhausting, hope today isnt like that for you and you enjoy being out the rest of the day. Let me know if that technique you mentioned helps at all next time you have to use it, hopefully not for awhile.

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
Annoying how vaping can make you feel sick.I lowered nicotine % from 18 to 12 because it was giving me nausea and now 6 still gives me headeache and occasional dizziness.Looks like I vape too much.Plus I need to get my nicotine fix and the 6% ejuice doesn't seem to satisfy me but my body clearly thinks I gave it too much?I had headaches for a few days, testing different % ejuices and still cant figure what % I need. And there's no lower than 6% and it's not time to get on 0%.And no way I'll quit vaping,I love it .Hoping I won't intoxicate myself.

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
Today was the errand day. I didn't get my SM check until this morning, so, I figured I would get everything done at once before Christmas.
Felt kinda nervous and nauseous even as I was getting into my car. :-[
I forgot to take my L-thianine before I left.
Bank had a long line. Walgreens had someone appear out of nowhere behind me in every aisle I was in. To make matters worse, just as it was my turn in line, the cashier said she was closing, and to use another line.:(
Since I wasn't up for food shopping yesterday, I had to do it today, or starve.
There's only 1 grocery store that isn't crowded, but it's a health food store, and I get more anxiety because I don't like the limited selection, so I get really confused on what to buy.:-\
I have a splitting headache, and am wicked tired from it all. And I have a full night of camming and pso ahead of me.>:(

Its strange but just wanted to throw that out there incase anyone needed the info, im just repeating what he said to me. Surprised me.
The problem with thyroid tests is that you can have hypothyroid symptoms but when you take a lab test it will say that it is normal. Ready to hear the crazy reason why? The ranges for the markers they are looking for can actually vary from lab to lab. Believe it or not, lab ranges are not based on one 'holy grail' piece of research from which we have been able to figure out a perfect and standard 'ideal healthy range.' It is actually rated on a bell curve from the values of previous people who have had the same testing.
I am sure at this point you are saying to yourself, "Um, JAC....what difference does this make?"
What I am telling you is that labs have decided what is a 'normal' range on a bell curve of values that have been created from people who have already self identified themselves to be sick.
Therefore it is impossible for this range to actually be 'normal.' You can actually be sick but not be sick enough to be identified on the bell curve.
Oh god, was that whole thing as boring to read for you as I think it must of been. Sorry about that.
In summary: Just a heads up, if you take a thyroid test and it comes back as 'normal'......your thyroid still might not actually be 'normal'. ;)
Edited to add: I forgot to say, yes......thyroid problems can mimic anxiety attacks or memory loss symptoms.

Thanks Snow.
Yeah 20 mins is too much and for sure nicotine did that because I doubt PG and VG will make us sick.I read VG is giving more vapors so for future clips you might want to try 100%VG with 0% nicotine to not feel sick again.
I will try to survive with 0 nicotine today.Hopefully I won`t kill anyone haha.

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
Yes Dr Sherry Tennpenny said the optimal range is not above 1.5 and I forgot how low is good because then you get into HyperThyroidism

"This is a narrative that we’re told time and time again – that “negative people” are burdens that dampen our lives and worsen our problems, and that we should all try to be positive.
But stigmatizing negativity often feeds into saneism – or the oppression of people with mental illnesses – because any stereotypes or generalizations about “negative people” will inevitably hurt people who have depression, since they’re often considered one in the same."

Re: The 'Sick Girls' Camming Club
About the thyroid thing. I keep telling people to get a scan on the thyroid aswell. Blood tests can be normal and in good ranges & your thyroid could be sick still. When I went into surgery for my nodules my blood tests were damn perfect, i was sooo damn healthy acording to them. Just to discover after the biopsy that one itsy bitsy tiny nodule was cancer. Yeah- thyroid cancer & normal blood tests- crazy isn't it ? There were a lot of signs that showed something was wrong with my thyroid: but doctors just made me do the blood tests & sent me home cause they were normal. Untill it was too late. Maybe if they discovered my bigger nodule earlier & put me into treatment I would not have had that tiny cancer nodule appear in the first place.
Ugh sorry- vent over ! I just have a lot on my head because of my lack of a thyroid :(.

OMG my back is still killing me, day seven now. I'm really worried it's a torn or ripped something instead of a sore or swollen something.
