First strip club ruined it for me scared to try another one
So i started of waitressing at this one club & later wanted to try dancing there. On my 2nd free day i made eh bout 90$ as it got closer and closer to me being off my free days i was making less and less. Mind you this club was super dirty & i dint realize it till later. You had to pretty much do extras to make your 💰💰💰 & i never did that's why i never made anything.! 😫 i was making more waitressing then i was dancing. Everyone there was shocked i wasn't making anything. I'm a pretty girl I'm tall & toned with a nice butt nice legs and a people person. So i quit, now waitressing at a diff club way better then the other one but I'm scared i won't make anything. =\\ & I'm tired of job hopping. Help?
Re: First strip club ruined it for me scared to try another one
Unlike most other fields, job hopping really doesn't matter in this industry, so it's not unusual for girls to bounce between several clubs until they find one they like -- and some continue to bounce between clubs for a change of scenery.
It's also not unusual for new girls to not make a lot of money at first, especially in clubs that require a good hustle (ie. lots of extras when you're trying to offer clean dances). There's a learning curve there, and this can be a quiet time in some areas, so that's two things working against you. If you worked during the daytime, that adds another level to it since you're competing with lots of girls that have regulars, so you're inevitably wasting time going up to customers who have no interest in anyone other than their girl. All that to say -- it regularly take smote than one or two shifts to get into the swing of things and start making money.
Personally, I'd give it a few shifts (different ones if possible to see what works best for you --- a couple in the day, a couple at night, and a couple in between) at this new club before writing it off as well.

I'm moving soon so i really don't wanna keep going to diff clubs.
& dancing would only be temporary sense I'm moving. & i worked during the night shifts but if i can work frm open till closing that would be great

They get new girls all the time there & they make anywhere frm 800$+ and never danced. Maybe I'm just stressing myself out? Everyone says i would make good money there.

I still don't see the big deal about bouncing between clubs until you find one where you make money, especially if you won't be staying in town for long. It doesn't matter that everyone says you'll make good money if you don't end up making good money, so give it a couple of shifts and then move on somewhere else. I take it you're wanting to dance to try and make a lot of money before moving, so make the most of the time you have left where you are and find a club that's lucrative for YOU, not necessarily for other new girls.
Re: First strip club ruined it for me scared to try another one
I would be surprised to see girls making $800+ when they have nvr done this job, unless they were either really lucky or had customers they were sm how connected to outside the club. As you are learning, looks are not everything in this job. Sm of these girls who are new to the club may not be new to the industry & are downplaying that fact for whatever reason.
Working open to close, even temporarily, is an excellent way to get burnt out fast. Maybe researching the area you will be moving to will help you find a club that is a better fit for you? Until then, a little bit of club hopping can go a long way toward learning more abt the industry & what kind of club you would really be happy & make $$ at.

Yeah idk i was surprised to but she said she talked to them for like hours and hours before and to me that's a waste of time. But i guess it wouldn't hurt to club hop.
Re: First strip club ruined it for me scared to try another one
First thing to learn as a stripper, strippers lie ALL the time about how much money they make. I don't know why but they do, I guess it's the competitiveness of the job or something. I mean, I had a girl I was friends with tell me at the end of the night she made $600 because this customer was handing her 20s all night... well, when it was dead I sat behind them for half an hour and not one twenty did I see handed, and she was maybe with him for only 15 minutes before I sat down and left before I did.
I've never heard of any girl making 800 when she first started, ever, unless it was lucky. But yah, some girls do use the "I'm new" hustle to make money, I'm guilty of it. I always tell customers I've been in London for a few weeks and just started at my club because for some reason they love that. I got called out on it last weekend by a custy who danced with me first weekend there, I didn't remember him but he remembered me, he was like "really? wow, did we just go back in a time machine cause you said that 4 weeks ago."
And like Shanna said, it doesn't matter if girls say you will make money or if the club is supposed to be "one of the best clubs." I worked at "one of the best clubs" in London and didn't make shit, now I am working at not one of the best clubs and doing well. I've worked in 5 places in two months here. You'll find a place but it may take some effort. The good news is, stripping is the easiest job to hop around in. You don't have to call, wait for an interview, convince someone to hire you, wait for a start date, get training, etc. You just show up, audition, work, and find out if it's a good fit or not. If it's not, move on to the next one, easy as pie. And don't take anything personally.
Re: First strip club ruined it for me scared to try another one
I've been in your shoes my first club was horrible. The girls were so mean to me and I made no money. I club hopped stayed at the next place for three months and finally found my home club that I loved.
Try to find a place that has a reputation for not hiring or being picky on who they hire. This means the girls that work there tend to stay there. Don't become discouraged you will find a place your comfortable at and where you make a lot of money.
