New here, question for dancers..
Hi, I'm 21 and have been thinking about dancing for a while now. I have never went to college but I want to be a makeup artist, and get my liscense. The only problem is the tuition :shocking:... My mom is a single mother that's unemployed so I don't have any help. And I don't want to keep wasting my life, but I was wondering , has anyone here ran into someone they knew at the club? If not how would you pull it off? I keep thinking I might see an uncle, cousin, or ex there! I live in nyc by the way. Please help?
Re: New here, question for dancers..
that's why i work a good distance from where i live.its always a risk
Re: New here, question for dancers..
Yeah. Unfortunately I rely on cabs, being from New York, so I don't have many options. I guess it's risky all around but if someone I knew - god forbid was related to - id be mortified !! But I can't do anything even with a full time job! It's all minimum wage and I'd be too busy to go to school
Re: New here, question for dancers..
If I were you I would dance anyway. If you run into someone you know , so what? They are there too. It sounds like you need to help yourself and your FUTURE out. Worrying about what ifs won't solve your $ for tuition problem.
Good luck hun!
Re: New here, question for dancers..
Thank you for the encouragement.
Re: New here, question for dancers..
I agree with just going out and not worrying about if somebody sees you. You can't let that be the only reason. Being a dancer is not going to have any negative impact on being a make up artists unless you were to try and get a job @ the WH!
