Generally speaking, Manhattan clubs are slow during the summer ... since a significant part of their customer base is comprised of guys who work in Manhattan but live in the suburbs. These guys are taking vacations during the summer, or are at least trying to get back to their suburban homes ASAP after they get out of work. Exception is clubs around Times Square that cater to tourists.
New York is very overrated anyway, but it's really slowed down the last few weeks. If you go at all, do weekends because at least it's wedding season and bachelor parties will be coming in that you might be able to sell a few dances to. If you go during the week you can make money by having sex in the back rooms. :sarcastic
But I was at Hustler last Wednesday, I got there at ten and there was one customer there and at least seventy girls. He was a dumb one too, girls would try talking to him and he would just stare straight ahead, stoney-faced, like they weren't even there.
yup, 'shell shock' !!! This is another factor that can make the slow season even slower ... customers being outnumbered 10:1 by dancers who are increasingly desparate for money. This situation is arguably great for customers seeking maximum 'bang for their buck', but highly uncomfortable for customers who were just seeking a fun night out.Quote:

I would suggest getting a day job for the summer. I'm going to take the entire summer off if I can help it.
or ... plan road trips to clubs in other areas of the country where summer is their 'busy' season ... i.e. Jersey Shore clubs, 'vacation' area clubs etc. My best earning night ever took place in a small club in Michigan located in a 'fisherman's paradise' small town that attracts lots of vacationing guys from Chicago, Ann Arbor, South Bend etc.Quote:

Hmm I work in the boroughs and thought I would see a slowdown in money but actually if anything it's reversed. But I work at urban clubs where going to strip clubs regularly is a part of the lifestyle of the clientele.
I did see a little dip down in money a while ago but now it's crazy. However one thing is the huge influx of girls working now that it's summer. So the money is spread out a little thinner.
^Yep, I noticed the boroughs weren't usually too badly hit. That makes sense about the urban clubs, I have not worked at many of them during summer so I don't have the greatest first hand account. In the clubs where you'd expect businessmen, yeah it was slow.
Girls on break from college flooding the clubs.
