I feel like crying!
I keep trying to get my cam set up just okay but it seems like every time I try it doesnt work. My laptop crashed and I don't have the money to replace it now so instead I've been camming on a rent a center laptop. Alienware but the screen was so small and I didn't like it. So when checking for something with a bigger camera I saw a mac and thought I'll try that I've always wanted one except the camera that I couldn't really afford to begin with that I paid 100 bucks for keeps running slow. I tried it with the built in camera and that worked just fine its just this usb cam that won't work. I've tried everything and I'm just at that point where I feel like giving up.

Re: I feel like crying!
The app store has a free download app called Logitech Settings or something along those lines. See if that helps, you do have to make an account if you don't already have one. I'll look for the link for you, wanted to get this post up in case I get a long call so maybe you can get started.

Re: I feel like crying!
First of all, HUGS. I've been there. I cammed from an old laptop which exploded after I streamed for the first time, upgraded my internet only to discover my other laptop wasn't compatible with the new router, missed all of my new girl status during this time, received a new i3 laptop as an early birthday present from my mum, and still can't afford my own cam so am surviving w/ the built-in camera. Otherwise I wouldn't be camming at all!
Do what you can for now. It doesn't need to be a disaster. If your usb webcam really can't be used (maybe some girls here have tips on how to tweak your settings?) just get creative with your built-in cam. Practice positions - of yourself and your computer.
Can you film videos to sell in-show or on C4S? You could use your computer's cam, a handycam, or your smartphone. That extra income could go towards an "equipment fund" too.

Re: I feel like crying!
Yay, i found the link. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/logi...38332853?mt=12 Maybe this will help. Even if it doesn't I've used the Isight cam before, its not ideal but you can still make $$ camming with it.

Re: I feel like crying!
This may help. I nearly went insane trying to get my Logitech C910 to work with my MacBook Pro. I posted this in the spring/summer hustler's thread (on pg 25) and it worked for someone there, too. Sorry it's been so horrible, and I hope it gets better.
"I love my C910 and I cam with a MacBookPro. Maybe this will work on your iMac: At first I couldn't get the 910 to work (downloaded the software and it didn't like that-prob wasn't necessary) and I called Logitech support and she had me open Skype and change my Skype cam settings from built-in to the 910. Random, but it worked and I have never had a prob since - I just plug in the 910 and it works with every cam site so far. Maybe it will work with your imac? Enjoy your new cam."

Re: I feel like crying!
Ladies you guys rock! I've been feeling so shitty! Mister desire gave me some ideas to try and get the angle right with the built in so I tried it and it was pretty awesome. I do have an app called cam settings and no matter what I do the cam ran slow not even connected to the internet.
My eh hourly is 30, normal is 45ish and anything more is awesome.
Slow cam - 20/hour of pulling teeth and it was more like 20 in 78 minutes.
today - 50/hour so yay!
