anyone know of a text-graphic building tutorial?
Ok, I feel so mentally challenged on this one. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to create a graphic with just text on it. I specifically wish to create a png file with transparent background and paragraphs of text on it, so that I don't have to deal with CSS (text style formating) which is an even bigger pain in the butt to me for profile customization. I have MS paint and paint shop pro 9. In PSP, when I use the text tool it just puts everything on one line and doesn't wrap the text, although the wrap option is ticked (much good does that do me). Does anyone know how to achieve my goal with PSP or perhaps a freely downloadable resource online, and is willing to share knowledge with me? I feel like pulling my hair out right now. In paint I can write all I want but it creates an image with a white background even though the transparent option is selected above. WTF. Graphics software and I have never got along well.. Ever.

If your text isn't wrapping in PSP, why don't you just hit enter when you want the next line to start?
Re: anyone know of a text-graphic building tutorial?
*facepalm* Thank you Shanna! Enter does split the line. It's still not quite how I was hoping it would look, but it will be functional. The text alignment was screwing things up too (left on it on default left for now).

Glad it works! What looks off about it?
Re: anyone know of a text-graphic building tutorial?
If I have the alignment centered, text only shows up on about half of the graphic (width wise), and if I put it on left, then it looks ok, but the gap on the right side is bigger from the margin than on the left side. I suppose it may have something to do with the offset/lead settings which I don't really understand yet, but I'm playing around with them. This is progress compared to yesterday. lol
