All reviews are considered works of fiction by the sites that publish them. There is no way to prove that the events described actually happened. A good lawyer will never have them allowed in as evidence.
It's a misdemeanor. A smart escort would just stay silent, pay her fine if found guilty, and go home.
I"m not a lawyer, but whenever I've seen lawyers write about this topic, it's along the lines of the above. Those reviews are hearsay when it comes to the provider, and while there are dozens exemptions to the exclusion rule for hearsay, I've never seen a lawyer say anything but that a provider wouldn't be charged based on reviews alone, there would have to have been some other action she took (like solicited an officer). But, the reviews may sometimes be how the provider gets on law enforcement radar in the first place. This is a must-have conversation with a lawyer, though, if you're really worried. Your lawyer will tell you what to do if you're asked if you've ever had sex with your clients ... my guess is, no one will ever have the chance to ask you that question in court, since you won't take the stand, will take the 5th, etc
I am in this position in court soon. I am curious how to answer "have you ever had sex during an appointment?" I answered "you're not supposed to but it's happened before with certain clients" to the lawyer when he asked me. I'm not sure if that's a good response. Very nervous right now.
One would think you would not testify against yourself to committing a crime. If you are being charged then definitely not. No lawyer would put their client on the stand in such a case.
