Should I raise my rates, set a time minimum or go UTR?
When is first started escorting I was very high volume and I set my rate as 250 which was the average rate of escorts in my area. I raised my rate to 300 and refused to see more than 2 clients a day. Just the slight change in my rate has changed my cliental since most of the guys on my board have a 'I don't go over 250 rule'.
I really would like to attract higher end cliental and become extremely low volume only 3-4 guys a week. I don't know if I should raise my rates again and try to enter the higher dollar hottie zone or just set a two hour minimum. I've also contemplated going UTR like my friend since she doesn't advertise she's been able to charge a higher rate but she said it's an extremely slow process to build cliental.
Re: Should I raise my rates, set a time minimum or go UTR?
Sounds like you are really confused - what do you really want to do?
$300 rate is giving you 2 clients a day then that would mean you are lowering your volume of clients. which keeps you in a different market and different clients.
then you are taking about a 2 hour minimum which again would be different type of marketing and probably different type of clients.
with your friend being UTR and not advertising as much she has position herself into a different market and different client but that is probably what she wants to do.
You need to figure out what you want to do.

Let me say this first, I have a vanilla job that pays OK and that's the main reason I work UTR. I'm in south central Texas and I do attract higher end clients, but my gut feeling is that shouldn't raise my rate above 300 in this area. I'm a Hispanic GFE, but i think there are too many pretty, high-volume girls that in my area that a guy can get for around 200 or even 150 if she is running a special and I'm guessing Houston is the same. I do 2 hour appointments with some regulars, but usually that's with regulars that I know are "one and done". We cuddle or talk for the rest of the time. I'm OK with MSOG, but some regulars like to fuck out their frustrations and 2 hours of that wears me out. Also consider where your going to see your clients. Low volume means your scheduling all your clients one day to save hotel costs. I only do 2 hour min outcalls to make travel time, parking etc worth it. And that's only if I really know and trust the guy and feel the location is comfortable for me. (I went to an outcall at this guy's home. He invited me in and it was big, beautiful and homey, but he had his 2 little kids that night. He said they are watching TV and and it's almost bedtime and they won't bother us. I kept it together on the outside, but on the inside i'm thinking Ewwww!! I just didn't feel comfortable.) And yes building clients is a slow, word of mouth process, but I make sure clients have my email and phone when they leave or I leave and to only give it to people they trust and that I can verify.
Re: Should I raise my rates, set a time minimum or go UTR?
Are you willing to do the work to haul in higher end clients? I've probably punched out 20k words between content revisions and blog posts, and that just scratches the surface of things being done for this purpose. My base rate is $320/hr and I tour at $400/hr, and while I'm low volume and have to tour to make good money, 90% of my clients are absolutely awesome guys. Not everyone needs to or is able to break $500/hr or higher - as was discussed around here before, any lady can charge $1000/hr, but she might never get an appointment. It's all relative to your goals. Sometimes I wish I could be okay working at $200-$250/hr because I feel that those working those price points have a much higher volume and make more money than I do, but I just don't have the stomach for it.
Re: Should I raise my rates, set a time minimum or go UTR?
Well, you can't just decide 'I'm going to to charge more'.... you have to have a reason for it.
Is there something about you that's so special that means they should pay more? You need to figure out what it is that makes you different and market the hell out of it. Because lots of girls want to charge big bucks but no one is going to pay more unless there is something tangible that they're going to get. If you are willing to offer a wide range of sexual services then yeah I think you can get away with charging more... but if not, then there has to be something extra you're offering them that other girls aren't, otherwise you're going to start charging a lot more and not get any calls. I would love to charge 300/350 pounds an hour ($500/$600) hell I'd love to charge 500/600 pounds an hour, but charging that amount would severely limit my clientele so I'm happy charging $300/$350 an hour and getting more calls for bookings than I can take.
I would also up your prices before refusing to do less than two hours because some guys don't like to book more than an hour on the first date, hell I get guys complaining I won't do half hours. Also, going from 14 bookings a week to 3-4 is a HUGE jump girl, you would have to like quadruple your prices and no offense but I think you might some difficulty with clientele... you're certainly going to lose 99% of the ones you have now!
Re: Should I raise my rates, set a time minimum or go UTR?
Rates depend on a combination of factors: how you look and behave, what you offer, location, presentation. Working UTR depends more on private referrals, so you'll need to be plugged-in to a good network. UTR is a good route for higher-profile women, such as actresses, models, etc.
To work in the so-called "high-end market" via ads, you'll have to be patient. I have a 2 hr min. at xxxx but I grew into it. Have a savings buffer and a day job. Also, successful clients appreciate when you're ambitious with a vanilla career. They'll be more generous with you.
I raised my rates slowly and always with added value: new pictures, video, improved services, etc. After raising my hourly rate I eventually raised my time minimum from 1 hr to 1.5 hrs, then 2 hrs. This'll depend on your comfort level, confidence and experience.
Do your homework, as the "high-end" client has much higher expectations. Apart from needing to know a bit about his world and being able to blend in with his crowd, you'll need to be able to make him feel good in every sense. Be prepared to lose some regulars as your target market shifts.
Income vs. Energy: My monthly average is higher now than it was at my mid-range rate, but the way I work now is more emotionally and mentally draining. I need at least 1-2 days to recover from a single appointment. At the mid-range, the work was more physically draining and recovery was quicker.
Whatever you decide, good luck!

Re: Should I raise my rates, set a time minimum or go UTR?
For now I've decided I'm going to raise my rates at the end of the summer (slow season). I do know I'm going to loose some of my customers. Last time I raised my rates it happened but a few loyal regulars continue to see me at my new rate.
Texas is full of cheap hagglers but I've managed to build a small steady stream of regulars. That aside I've seriously been contemplating moving next year to somewhere up north.
I go to school part time and really want to concentrate on school more. I feel like when I work a lot in this industry I tend to get caught up in making money and always spend it on none sense. I have been thinking about getting a real part time job just to keep myself balanced and have a stable income.
Re: Should I raise my rates, set a time minimum or go UTR?
Great idea to keep up with school and the day job. Maintaining a sense of balance and connection to the vanilla world is important.
On the "hobby" or "review" boards: it's fine to start out there and collect some reviews if you're new and learning the ropes, or want entry into certain networks.
However, here's a big hint: the best clients are not on the boards, and going "no review" is what you should aim for if you're after the higher-end market. Higher-end clientele may read the boards, but they're usually too busy and too discreet to participate. Reviews, good or bad, don't reflect well on a lady, and can be dangerous.

Definitely agree with what you've said there. I do body rubs and have some wealthy regulars who have been visiting me regularly for almost 2 years and tip me generously every time. Not once did I find them detailing our encounters on review boards.

Doing your homework is very important. High-end clients not only want me DTF, but sexy, classy and intelligent. But most important is really listening to what they have to say. They love talking to a pretty girl who is interested, listens and knows something about "Schrödinger's cat", Net neutrality or Bitcoin, but also listens to happy or painful things going on in their lives. That is always emotionally and mentally draining for me.
