A lot of attention cause I'm a twin
I'm a twin & 2 weeks new in admiral theaters in chicaho, the club is all around an amazing and safe club filled with so many opportunities but I seem to be the target of a lot of hatred by other girls because of the fact that my twin and I have gotten a feature so early on in starting this new found life style. Girls are talking crap about me and to my face and I'm not sure how to really take it... I could turn down the features but that would be less so to say advertisement which I could use all I could get plus they offer half house for any features done... I'm really confused, do I stop doing the feature so I can blend back in with the crowd and risk my money or ignore it? The biggest problem is a lot of girls have also been getting fired cause veterans tell managers lies to get them fired like that they offer sex in the VIP it's happened to three new girls so far... What do I do!!!
Re: A lot of attention cause I'm a twin
They would not be talking shit abt you if they did not see you as competition.
This is not the place to make friends, & it is not the place to let yourself be cowed just to soothe their poor egos. They are not paying your bills, so why would you let them dictate how you make your $$$?
How approachable is your club mgmt? If you & your twin are that concerned abt being fired over lies, I would go to mgmt first, tell them abt the shit-talking & any threats. Can you back-up your claims that the shit-talkers lied abt those other new girls who got fired?

You and your sister are going to have a great career if you can develop your skills and thicken your skin. It is inevitable that other dancers will see you as a threat, even if you don't work as features, as long as you work together in the same club you will gather a lot of attention and have massive earning potential. Of course other dancers will recognise this and see you as big time competition. The best thing you can do is head it off at the pass - keep yourselves clean and to the rules and tell managers that you understand that your rare combination will make you seem like a threat to the other dancers but you will do your best to get on with people, stay clean, be polite and earn your money.
Try to help other girls out - encourage guys to tip them, tips any girl who brings you customers, but be aware there may still be girls who won't like you no matter what. Don't let it affect your hustle - you're there to make money, not friends.

I'm sorry but you are crazy for considering turning down features just because of the other dancers. Why would you compromise your $$ for people who don't like you because they are jealous??? I say ignore it, you don't want to be friends with people who do catty shit like that anyway, so why try to win them over?? They're doing you a favor by showing their true colors now, if you weren't featuring, they would be doing catty shit behind your back.
As far as being worried about getting fired, don't worry. You and your twin are already managers favorite, THAT'S who you want on your side. You don't want to mingle with the small minded people, you want to be with the big bosses and people who are doing big things. Pull the manager aside or bring up casually without sounding dramatic that girls are real catty about you being a feature, this way the manager already has a heads up before he hears a lie about you in attempt to get you fired.
Don't ever be catty or rude back. Stay calm and polite because you are bigger than them. Being calm and polite also makes them even angrier which leads to them reacting and making their selves look DUMB. Also this way, if it ever came down to it, the manager would believe you more than them because you're the one who carried yourself well.
This is what happens when you find success- haters are INEVITABLE! People love you when you are average because it makes them comfortable. Be above average and they become insecure- and you're not Jesus or a social worker so there is nothing you can do about their own personal insecurities.

I've been a dancer for 10 years now on and off. I don't have one single friend in the club, I am nice and courteous to the other ladies I work with and will occasionally make small talk with them in the dressing room, but I treat them as club furniture and have had zero problems with another dancer. Focus on yourself and your money, if there's an issue then find a manager you trust to help you handle the issue. Management obviously wants to keep you there if you're already a feature. Just keep your head up and worry about yourself. Good luck :)
