Sensitive Subject - Camming and children
So i know camming isn't illegal ... but can cps get involved if you are camming and have children .. even if the children aren't around when you are doing it?? this gets to my conscious at times even though i know it is a legal job.can neighbors get you in trouble:'( if they find out?
Re: Sensitive Subject - Camming and children
Our social worker back in the day didn't seem to ask too many questions when I put in the check stubs.
The conversation went like this:
"So what kind of online business is it?"
"Can't really talk about it with kids in the room."
"Oh, ok." (total change of subject)
And that was it. The only time I heard it was an issue is if you're having some kind of custody dispute and your ex wants to be really asinine about it, and even that is pretty rare.
There's a few ways to look at it legally, and the first being "reasonable expectation of privacy" when performing sexual acts. If having sex in the house with your children in the same house were illegal, everyone would be hosed. So long as you keep your private antics away from kids and take reasonable precautions not to expose them to any corrupting or unsafe influences, you're in the clear from that perspective.
Re: Sensitive Subject - Camming and children
Unless you live in a very conservative place, I doubt it would be a problem with CPS. It is just NOT possible to perform with children anywhere within earshot, and it isn't obscene. People masturbate in their own homes all the time when children are in the house. And you aren't exposing your children to any of your clients. I personally wouldn't worry about it.
Re: Sensitive Subject - Camming and children
I looked it up a while ago and found lawyers saying it might not be illegal but it depends on the social worker because technically they can find a reason if they personally wanted too and thought it wasn't right.. so it kindoff scared me... o yeah then i found a bunch of comments of people saying we shouldn't be parents and they should be taken blah blah blah bs..
Re: Sensitive Subject - Camming and children
^A social worker with an agenda may try to pursue it further, but they'd have a rough time proving that camming is detrimental to your children's welfare. Because it's not. Sex work is work. What would they prefer you to do, not earn money? Have your children go hungry?
And yes, there are some massive dickbags in the world who think children should be taken away from sex workers. There are also people who think kids should be taken away from parents who eat McDonalds, or who use disposable nappies (diapers) instead of cloth, or who aren't straight, or who have mental health issues. There's a special circle in hell for those people.
Try not to let it worry you. You're thinking about all the "ifs" and the worst case scenario. Look at all the women on this forum who cam and are parents! :)
Re: Sensitive Subject - Camming and children
Porn stars have children and don't get them taken away. It is a profession and a business.
As is camming.
Don't worry about it.
Re: Sensitive Subject - Camming and children
I highly doubt it would be an issue. It's like social services taking your children away for masturbating in your own privacy or having sex in your own room.
As long as your children do not witness anything then it wouldn't be an issue.
Social services are concerned about the welfare of the child and camming would not affect the welfare of any child unless the child was to see anything

Yes thank you ladies for easing my mind :)
