Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
I am currently an entertainer at the wild alaskan here in kodiak alaska & i do not appreciate the horrible rumors that go on about our facility. It is an amazing establishment for the community and the fisherman adore our company as well as our fellow colleagues. I am extremely grateful that i have this opportunity to work here and will stand up for the wild alaskan 110%. The owners have been nothing but generous and I would appreciate if people would come out to us and see what we really are about. It is a high end establishment and we treat everyone with kindness guaranteed. WE LOVE THE WILD ALASKAN!

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
Why would a bunch of strippers making all this supposed money on a fishing boat care about defending their club? I figured they'd be more concerned about their club getting flooded with girls and more competition if word gets out how good the money is.

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
Probably the ppl who run the place.

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
Didn't you read? They can't get flooded. They can only have like 6 girls on the boat? I would never work in places with roughneck clientele( I'm already hired at all the good clubs) but my gf has worked places and things like this and does well. You also notice how the girl who came back and said all the negative things talked about how great these people were and how well she did until the supposed event occured. Just odd. Also I give info freely ( I could care less if tonsof girls flock where I am) because most probably won't get hired andthe ones that do who cares if your a money maker you will be no matter....

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
Also most girls cant't afford to travel. I've been paying around 1600 to work 9 shifts. if you aint making money you won't/ can't afford to be a traveling dancer....

This is true.
Aside from all the drama in this thread, plane tickets to and from AK are so expensive that most girls can't consider going.
I'm more leery that it's on a converted boat. Maybe the owner is a huge "MacGuyver" fan & got the idea from the show, lol

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
I'm just perplexed by the lack of reviews, or even advertisements? I mean, the only thing I can find about this club through google is 1 article about how it was briefly shut down because it didn't meet some regulations or something along those lines.
You'd think that a brand new club seeking traveling dancers would at least have a website or a faq page?

Also you'd think they wouldn't have a spammer coming back again and again disrespecting the membership with a bunch of fake profiles starting fake conversations/fights. Pathetic.

Going to threadjack, but I always got the impression you work in the big well known clubs with a lot of foot traffic. Having a lot of girls in those clubs doesn't really matter. But smaller clubs can get flooded; I know because I've posted a thread here about my old club with that goal in mind (old club was a smaller club that needed dancers) and it worked. A lot of girls came to the club. Whether or not posters want to share info, or not share info because they work in smaller clubs, I can respect that.
And no, I didn't read. I glossed over that part.

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
The complaints that are being told are just angry upset ladies that could not appreciate the wonderful experience this establishment has to offer. I have had nothing but a great time here & I LOVE everything about how polite everyone is. My girlfriends & I enjoy every sight we see & adore how peaceful it is. I definitely believe that the Wild Alaskan has been one of the easiest & profitable dance gigz i have had in a while. The fisherman are grateful for the attention and admiration we give them for there hard labors. The people in this town are nothing but nice & it is beautiful here in Kodiak! I love it up here & the crew is great we take care of them & they take care of us we are a TEAM! They really take care of us & i appreciate that they've allowed us this opportunity. I unfortunatly will be here for another few weeks, however i plan to make my way back next year and every year after that for the summer.

I'm not sure why you quoted me in your post. I am not related to whatever happened; the profile was already banned before I responded in this thread.
Staying on topic, I wondered why there didn't seem to be advertising for this club either, but the fact it's out in the middle of nowhere in a remote part of the world might have something to do with it. The only reason I have even heard about this island was because I saw a documentary about how a man and his wife had been eaten by bears in that area. Anyway this thread should probably die already.

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
I have been working on the Wild Alaskan for a few weeks now and I can tell you this: The money is easy. Alaska constantly has a cycle of fishing and hunting seasons that either bring in fisherman that make bank or filthy rich tourists that want to brag about assassinating a giant bear. I'm not going to tell you that you'll make a grand a night. You probably won't, but you technically could. There are roughly 2-3,000 fisherman here at once during any given fishing season (I don't know the stats on hunters) with no other place to spend their money besides a handful of bars. The market is seriously cornered. Which is why most girls are attesting you can make a grand a night. It's more likely here than anywhere else I've worked. And maybe they do, like I said, I'm not the greatest hustler. I'm kind of a lazy stripper. But even so, my bad night was 300 and my best night was near 2 stacks. I'd say the number I count out the majority of the time is 7 or 8. If you want a break from the saturation of dancers and broke asses at the mainland clubs this is an ideal "working vacation."
There was some pretty intense drama when I first got here. I have a giant pair of headphones so I can't say I was really involved. A common rule amongst the fisherman around these parts I've learned is; if you have a cancer on the boat, remove it before it spreads. Kodiak island has kept strip clubs illegal for 30 years. The entire reason this is even on a boat is because it bypasses the laws on land. The police and the coast guard are itching to shut this place down. We are all well aware of this which is why when I'm not working, I lay low or go sightseeing. (I'm super into astronomy and I have never been able to see this many stars and planets with the naked eye). Basically, due to the small size and popular puritanical views of the locals, the dancers here are treated as celebrities initially in a Miley Cyrus kind of way. If you are respectful and can handle yourself, the apprehension fades. The girls that were kicked off the boat were toilet paper tabloids. And accusations were made because they get a lot of attention even if it's crazy, illogical, or obviously false.
I personally would love to see this club stay afloat because it's like dancing (from what I imagine) in a 90's economy. This is the closest thing to tasting all those stories I have heard from the older girls telling me about "the way things use to be." I don't know who said we have tons of girls lined up, but not to my knowledge. I mean, technically yes there is a list of girls from Anchorage who want in, but I think the preference is to change the dynamic with traveling girls from different places with different styles too keep things interesting. Not only that, but all of us working here currently love traveling. I'm staying for close to 2 months, then traveling for 2, then coming back. The living on the boat for free thing is awesome, because you don't have to worry about finding a residence just to check the club out or work for short periods. Although if you do it like I do, it's pretty easy to find an affordable apartment to rent as I did.
I normally keep money makers a secret as someone mentioned above but I'm practically grandfathered in and I've already got a steady fan base, and I've got my own pad so I don't have to worry about there being room for me on the boat.

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
They are a little behind the times when it comes to the website, which I believe someone is working on currently. It's definitely not the Bermuda Triangle. Planes come and go from Kodiak every single day so you I wouldn't worry about getting stranded. No risk no reward was my mentality and I haven't bounced yet.

Ehhhh ... the last time I tried to research a business online & could find nothing was the business of a former vanilla employer of mine. The guy is a ghost -- not only that but I can tell you for a fact he was shady. Knowing him as I did, & the nature of one of his businesses I can understand why he might not want to be found online & would prefer more of a word-of-mouth thing. So I would be a little suspicious of smtg that I can find nothing abt. If a business wants to maintain their online image/advertising, they put in the effort to do so.

This IS their idea of keeping an online presence, spamming us with fake profiles and having sock puppet arguments. Someone up there is koo-koo cray cray.

Re: Summer Money Kodiak Island Alaska
I work on the boat currently. I just got here. You must work the whole shift Monday through Friday. There is only 4-6 girls allowed to work because of the limit of the number of people that can be on the boat. I just started but the money is pretty big and pretty easy. Men come on the boat in shifts like 12 at a time.
You can have free accommodations on the boat or get your own spot in town.
And yes alone time is a little hard to find.
Anyway I made a lot of money on my first night and the other girls have reported very high profits consistently. It is probably with it to give up privacy for a while to make this kind of money.
The lighting is a little bit bright on the boat. You should be pretty, in good shape ( whatever shape you are) and be a NO drama, trust worthy nice person.
The stage is small and intimate. You can talk with customers and flirt the whole time. No need for excellent pole or floor work. It is more about good personality and great looks.
This is a very safe environment because of the control of the number of people on the boat and a high ratio of staff to customers.
I would recommend this club to pretty girls who are learning how to dance or are new because it is pretty easy to just meet everyone who comes in and have money spent on you.
Your age or having tattoos doesn't matter.
Because it is a small club it is very important to be all good vibes. Pretty and friendly=lots of $$$$$ here
If you have a drinking or drug problem? or a bad gossip? anything else like this? this is not the place. It is small. If you make a scene it is THE scene.
The island is amazingly beautiful. 4000 bears on it! Rich fisherman and sporting/ hunting fanatics.
Good money on stage. Guys that are thrilled to look.
Your welcome to ask me anything if your serious about coming. We can arrange for you to talk with the girls that are here now.
It might seem weird that we are inviting other girls since the money is so good but if we don't have enough girls that cuts into the money we make too.
We also all care a lot about who comes here so we are going to want photos and to talk with you etc..
Again we want smart, NICE, pretty no drama women up here. We are spending 8 hours together 5 days a week just at work not to mention living together.
The club is closed on Monday Tuesday so that's the time for site seeing and hiking etc.
Oh by the way. The food is excellent around here. Five star home cooking style gourmet with FRESH seafood and ultra pure drinking water.
