Dancers Beware
Hello beautiful ladies, I'm in the process of creating a niche website for the dancer community. The aim of the website is to inform exotic dancers through out the country of dangerous and abusive strip club ownership/management. As traveling dancers are on the rise, we need more information and resources we can refer to, to help us analyze a new club and make an informed decision before we book a flight or drive to our next location. After having a dangously terrifying experience with a strip club owner in Kodiak Alaska, I'm taking the responsibility upon myself to create this much needed website. How will the information be gathered? By the dancer community reaching out and sharing anonymous 1st hand, personal, truthful stories of abuse, danger, and unprofessionalism in ownership/management of certain clubs across the country. If you have a story to share with "Dancers Beware" please write to [email protected] explaining your experience. All stories will be kept anonymous. Please make sure to include the city, state, and club the incident happened in. Thank you

Re: Dancers Beware
Well, since this site already gets a lot of traffic, why not post your story somewhere easily finable on here, like in Club Reviews?

Re: Dancers Beware
I think a website like this would be a great idea. Though I don't have a lot of these kinds of stories myself, I'm sure there are a lot of dancers on here who do, and would be more than willing to share with you to help prevent similar experiences happening to others.

Re: Dancers Beware
I like the idea, but would there be a place where dancers can post positive reviews of clubs as well? A sort of Yelp for strippers?
Also, how are you going to protect yourself and your contributors from retribution? I once posted an honest club review under a fake name, and the club owner ended up screaming at me in the dressing room about the review. I'm not sure how he figured out I was the one to have posted it, but my guess is that another dancer or maybe a staff member outted me.
The review wasn't even particularly negative, but I made a comment that I made more money at another club nearby due to better foot traffic. Both clubs had their upside and down side, and I mentioned both in the review. Of course, this particular owner didn't see that I had some negative comments for the other club.
He would have fired me, except I was the only dancer who actually showed up to work that day. LOL! I told him to either fire me now, or drop the subject because I've got customers waiting. He stormed out of the club, and I never saw him again. I did remove the review, as he demanded. I liked the club and the customers, and wasn't ready to move on. But if I had been working in a big city, I would have packed my stuff and left right then.
This was a destination club, BTW, that relies on traveling dancers.
