Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Thought I'd update. I finally bought a Canon Rebel T7i. I already had a universal tripod. I use a 18 inch dimmable and cool/warm transition light with a remote. GOD DAMN. The quality is insane. Not bad insane either like it makes me look better than previously recording using a HD webcam with the same light.
As far as editing goes, I gave up and hired an editor. However I heard great things about Adobe Premiere from the ladies I asked.

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
lol.......... Have not made a clip in years, came to this thread to find out the latest and greatest software... turn on my software...... performed in a video... some of my better work if I may say so myself... Then I realize.... I didn't press record~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
This is pretty unrelated but I feel like someone in this thread might know: If I want to take pics of myself I will either record video with my webcam or with the front cam of my iphone and then use screencaps from the videos as the photos. This works fine for closer up photos but if I want to do full body and thus be really far back from the camera the quality is awful for screen caps. I have a 5s iphone which is a really old model, I'm wondering if upgrading to a newer or the newest version will give me front cam video quality that is high enough for good screen caps or if I should just buy a real camera for the task instead(I have been looking at this one: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-16-50mm-...NEHNYWC27H6BGK )

This is a six year old don't camera. That's kinda old when it comes to technology. Your pictures will be sharper but less compatible with newer gadgets. Things like capture cards and external storage etc. This is what you should look at when you buy a DSLR camera, plus continuous autofocus. You can get a more recent model of the Sony A series with better features starting at $600.
On the other hand a newer smart phone will be an improvement on the IPhone 5S. Anything you get will be better than that and cheaper: Samsung, LG, Motorola, a newer IPhone.

I don't know, that looks like it was created with a phone app? You may be able to download an animated brush packet for Photoshop featuring a spiral. I know that both Adobe After Effects and Filmora have them.

I do a 60 second test clip before I start the real clip for this exact reason. And then on the real clip I wait 30 seconds to start the actual show just in case theres a syncing delay. The first 30 seconds is of me just standing there making sounds like Do Re Mi Fa Sa La Ti DOOOOOOO!!!!! I really should make a compilation video of that. I'm sure someone would buy it.

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Is anyone really experienced with special effects/cool effects for their videos? I really want to know what these particular effects are on a video I've seen. I don't want to post out here so please can someone pm me?

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Filmora 9 is having an end of year sale. It's back down to $39.99 plus you get a few Holiday effects packets. That's not bad if you've been wanting to upgrade your software.

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Hello everyone!
I've been toying with the idea of creating clips with my cellphone holding the phone vertically while recording. It's a new debate .... vertical vs horizontal recording because of social media video formats being vertical now ... even Youtube might enable vertical formats, from what I understand.
Problem is when I edit the clip in my editing software, the clip imports horizontally.. .so I need to rotate it within the software and crop it in editing which is a hassle. Even then, the clip looks bad on my clipteez page with black bars on each side. Cropping them out for the screenshot thumbnail image made the image low quality.
I use VSDC Editing software on a Lenovo T420 pc.
What do you all think about recording vertically for your clips?

I found this VSDC tutorial for fixing the horizontal upload on YT.

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Here's another video for VSDC editor and how to remove black bars. If you continue to record vertically this is something you'll keep running into. I think vertical is best for social media.

Hey thank you so much! I guess the clips being sold on the clips channels will still be mostly in the horizontal formats? Do you think that will change as more and more customers are viewing their purchased clips on their phones rather than computers?

Here's some info from Pornhub regarding mobile traffic:
Devices & Technology
In 2019, mobile devices made up 83.7% of all Pornhub’s traffic worldwide. 76.6% of that traffic was from smartphones, which saw their share grow by 7%. The share of tablet traffic dropped by -17% to 7.1% while desktop and laptop computers decreased by -18% to make up only 16.3% of worldwide traffic.
83% is a lot of people watching from mobile devices. And it's been above 50% for over five years now. The debate between verticle vs horizontal doesn't really fit in with adult entertainment. Vertical videos do better on social media because people like being able to engage directly underneath a post. This is difficult to do when viewing on a horizontal video. So imo the most important factors to consider are
1. Is my content for social media engagement?
or
2. Is it just for their viewing pleasure?
If it's no.1 then focus on verticle. If it's no. 2, horizontal is where it's at.
Also where you want to display your content is also important. Not all adult websites have optimized their mobile sites to show verticle clips in the best setting.
What kind of phone are you using? Does it have a wide angle lens? Now vertical might make more sense. Unless I was creating Snapchat type quality clips I wouldn't use verticle. I have no concrete evidence to support this next theory, but I believe that people who pay for porn prefer to view it as if they were watching Netflix. You turn your phone to the side to soak it all in.

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Maybe this is the right thread to ask. If I want to do green screen effects in clips, will a black backdrop work okay and then I can just select green screen in iMovie and insert whatever I want? Is other software easier for this? Do I need to get a green backdrop?

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Could anyone recommend a simple skin smoothing download I can use on a desktop? I have YouCamMakeup on my phone but can't seem to find anything which will work on thr computer with my webcam. Thank you. X

I have better results with an actual green screen than just using chroma key software that promises background deletion.

This question is popping up all over the place! So far the only one I've played with is Snap Camera Snapchat Filters For Cammodels
-
Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Oooh interesting! Thank you so much for the suggestion. I'm having a play around on this. There are a good variety of filters; just need to find something I'm happy looks natural *enough* ha.

Re: What Do Cammodels Use To Create Clips?
Good god. You clip makers have my respect and admiration as I am finding this incredibly HARD. I have downloaded the trial version of Filmora and, even on watching the tutorial in depth i'm still getting basic edits and scene fading wrong. I think I'm being impatient though, determined to crack this as I am so full of ideas!

Omfg I'm in love with perfectcam2 by cyberlink. I downloaded it back in the day and it wasn't great but now it's awesome, the only thing it doesn't do yet that the mobile app does that i really miss is eyebrows. I have a link for 60% off so feel free to pm if anyone wants it.
Re editing software i now use adobe and love it but the basic free windows moviemaker used to do the job. It is super simple and you can easily do cut fades, transitions etc. Can't you use that?
