Procrastination/anxiety ...how do you handle it?
I am not sure if my procrastination is a sign of burnout or just a habit I have formed, but it is getting out of control. I work purely from home, PSO & Clips, so it isn't even a case of having to go somewhere. It is starting to cost me money and that just will not do.
I have been attempting to change things up in case it is burnout, but I am not really making a difference. I have allowed myself to stop working non stop like I was before to get my work/life balance a bit more healthy. But now starting again feels soooooooooo difficult. My anxiety is through the roof and I have been acting out on that rather than just jumping in.
How does anyone else handle this? Any advice at this point is welcome or I am going to have to go to the Doc for some anxiety meds.

Try something like that. I had a cassette, worked wonders.

Really??? You saw a difference?

It was back when we used cassette tapes, but yes.

I schedule my procrastination. When you work at home you feel like you can always work and beat yourself up when you don't actually work which leads to more procrastination because you are now feeling bad about having procrastinated.
Tell yourself that you will work for 15 minutes, and then you will allow yourself a break. Set a timer, so that you don't over shoot your 15 minute goal. Then, if at the end of the 15 minutes you still aren't feeling like it, stop and go do something else. Schedule another 15 minute session for later.
This is how I got myself to stop procrastinating my workouts. 15 mins is very doable and you know you'll be done. But I found that once I get into it, despite my resistance to the idea initially, I just keep going. This also works for me in dancing. I tell myself to just go to the club and if I don't feel like staying I can just turn around and leave (we don't have schedules at my club, just a time commitment to staying 5 hours). I did leave on Thurs. I usually stay once I'm in the club, but I give myself to leave should I not want to stay.

you can listen this book https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__6QT84c7L4 and believe me, you will understand why you do all those things:)

@Tour...thanks! You know I have used that for my workouts too, but never considered it for work. I'll definitely start doing that!
@MissJ...I will check this out too...but after I get some work done. ;)

What I found works for me is to have the other hobbies that I can do when bored. I love woodworking, and I love video games, woodworking actually gets me to change spaces. Space changes are very important for keeping yourself motivated, it's psychologically harmful to stay in the same room to eat, sleep, and live. Once I woodwork for a while (which of course has it's own benefits) I get tired and all I want to do is go inside and work, because sitting at a computer is the lowest amount of effort after hand planing and sanding 6 or more boards.
