My pole is too tall for my ceilings. What am I going to do now??
The pole I bought for my last house does NOT fit in my new house.
My ceilings are only 7' tall and my pole at its shortest is 7'4".
Is there anything I can do to salvage this pole?
It's an X-Pole knock off and worked just fine for my other place :(

Re: My pole is too tall for my ceilings. What am I going to do now??
Cut out a hole in the ceiling and mount it between the ceiling supports.
Not sure how hard it will be to shorten your pole. It probably has end fittings that would have to be moved lower after cutting it down. If you know someone with good metal working skills they might be able to do it for you.
That's the best I can think of as far as saving that pole. Might be able to get a shorter pole sans mounts/cases etc.

Why even try to pole dance with a 7' ceiling? That seems way too awkward/dangerous, even if you are very short and don't wear heels.

You could try asking on studioveena.com I remember reading something there about getting a pole cut to fit a lower ceiling.

Thank you Cherished. I'm thinking I might just do something else until I hear back from them, like put it on my patio, because I really can't put holes in the ceiling and I don't know anyone that works metal... In a few weeks though I will probably custom order through Veena for one that will fit in my room.
I don't do crazy tricks yet - who am I kidding - I can't even climb the pole at all so having it only 7' isn't that bad. It's a start. I would just like to get over some personal limitations in the privacy of my home :)

I had this same problem with my pole a few days ago when I put it up in my new house. I also don't really get on the pole..we just cut it with a sawzaw. It fits fine now.

I'd suggest consulting this Facebook poling group. - https://www.facebook.com/groups/254301314599534/
It is highly suggested not to use xpole knock offs though. There are a lot of reports of injuries from those. It's best to just go with xpole itself.
Re: My pole is too tall for my ceilings. What am I going to do now??
If its set up exactly like xpole, you don't have to cut your ceiling or the pole or anything. I have the same problem, you can order a shorter "B" pole. Its like $40 with shipping (for me anyway) http://xpoleus.com/store/extension-4...14-p-1206.html
If its not, then yeah I would get it cut
Re: My pole is too tall for my ceilings. What am I going to do now??
I will gladly trade you my pole. It made for ceilings that are 8'7 and lower.
