Interesting! Thanks!
*Really wanna work there, but i'm in in Chi. :(
I briefly worked in such a a place; there are a lot of these kinds of places in NYC. They're usually pretty gross.
I totally want to work with Naiad.
Ugh...
I always hear custies talking about these kinds of places. "ugh.. lets go to the underground club, this place sucks" or "would you like a dance?" "nah were about to leave to the underground club" ...I usually answer with "haha good for you". They're always extras custies and so I don't bother with them. I also sometimes ask custies what they're fave club in the city is to gauge whether they're extras custies or big spenders and once I hear "well I really like insert underground club here" I walk away.
If I were an extras dancer and worked for an underground club in which my income wasn't reported, I sure as hell would be charging a lot more that these broads!
As if girls in NYC did not have enough to worry about...
I have never met such rude and disgusting customers until I worked in one of those underground clubs. As it turns out, the one in the article was the same place because they mention the name of the guy who runs it. Almost all the customers were nasty, not wearing underwear under their pants/shorts nasty and expected serious contact. I went to do a room with a guy and there were condoms and tissues out in the open and it was obvious you could hear people having sex in the next sectioned-off room.
I also did not meet any girls like was described in the article. The ones I worked with were like street walkers. The most true thing about the article were the low prices for sex.
No dancer of class belongs there.
Part of me says, "let the garbage customers flock there anyway".
You don't want to deal with that type of clientele anyway.
I wonder if this place will get shut down soon? That's a lot shit being admitted out in the open like that. Wow.
I know of at least two that were in the Chicago area. No idea if they still are though. One I'm not sure where it is because this guy asked me to dance there and I refused when he basically told me extras were expected. The second club is a bit different because I think the customer pays a membership and during the day is a pizza parlor. The manager of this club told me what happens is between the dancer and the customer.
$250 in NYC to have sex? I can make more to dance for a party. Sorry but not having sex for $250, I have more respect for my body than to risk disease or pregnancy from a guy I don't know.Quote:
It was really weird having sex with someone I didn’t know and had zero attraction to,” Naiad said later. “I was like, ‘Oh, my God, what’s going on?’ ” But the $250 she said she had earned helped with her unease; she has since returned.
If the one made $250 how could she make $400 for oral with a guy wearing a condom? Either she is exaggerating or is much hotter than the other one.Quote:
She said she recently charged a man $400 for oral sex, adding that he was wearing a condom.
^^It sounded to me like the one doing the BJs was older and more experienced, whereas Naiad was a college girl new to the business who probably didn't feel confident charging higher rates yet. But yeah, agreed that $250 for sex in NYC is unacceptably low.
I worked a couple nights at Hott22 in north jersey-one of the top earners was an unattractive girl who sold lots of rooms with huge tips to let the customers dry hump her with a condom, no penetration. So I can see $400 for a BJ with a condom in that area if your hustle is tight. (It's not my thing at all, but I respect the hustle)
About 8 years ago, I got close with this girl I used to dance with, I'll call her Melissa. She would only come to the club every so often and she told me this was because she had another job and that's where she made most of her money. I coincidentally moved into her apartment building and we started hanging out and doing dancer prep stuff together (getting our nails done together, going to shop for outfits together, getting our hair done etc.) After about 6 months of us being friends OTC, Melissa told me that she showed her boss a picture of me and he thought I was beautiful and I would definitely double or triple my earnings working there. I always thought Melissa worked for an agency that did private parties but she explained to me that this place was an "exclusive, members only, private strip club" and that she was making between 2500 and 3500 every shift there. I was eager to check it out and Melissa told me I could go with her the next morning. I told Melissa that I preferred to go during the night, to see how busy it was and to check out the crowd. She told me that in order to keep the identities of the members discreet, new girls were not allowed to tour during business hours, they had too many high profile guests and every new dancer needed to sign the dancer contract and NDA before encountering any of the clients. She drives me to a restaurant/bar and we go inside, walk all the way to the back and go out the back door which leads us into a small hallway with one door leading to the alley and another door. Melissa told me when the club was operating there was a door guy there and he would only admit men that had the invite code for that night. We through that door and up some stairs to another door, which she tells me also has a door guy and he's the guy that the men pay to get inside, there was another door right across from it where she said there were extra VIP rooms on that side. Inside of the first door was set up pretty much like a mini strip club, there was a small stage with a pole, a bar, lots of couches. There were 3 private rooms on that side of the underground club, each room had a bed and a massage table, which set off in my head that this really wasn't a "strip club" as such but more of a brothel. On the other side of the club, there were more "VIP rooms" all of which had beds. She told me that it was completely up to the dancers what they wanted to do. If you just want to do dances, then do dances, if you want to do VIP you set your rates and the owners do not take a cut of what you make. I asked her if there were girls that worked there that just did dances and if they made any money, she admitted to me that most of the dancers that worked there started off just doing dances and all pretty much ended up doing extras. As a really young, really clean dancer, this didn't sit well with me at all so I never ended up working there but I feel like places like this should be around so extras guys know to go there and not try their luck at mainstream strip clubs where dancing is not code word for undercover prostitute.
Vyanka-I tried to quote you but my laptop ate the post. I agree with you up to a point-but there are some clubs that everyone knows are brothels, and that is one of them, or was at the time. I personally am all about selling the fantasy like you said. I could never ever get customers off for a living, even with condoms involved, I simply wouldn't feel comfortable. Nor would I want to be the clean dancer in an extras club. But that girl worked damn hard making the best out of a crappy environment. So yeah, I have respect for it even if I wouldn't want to participate.
With that said my heart goes out to those of you struggling in NYC, I know it's rough up there for clean dancers.
I know and hate this club...I know it from about 3 years ago when it was actually busy, diverse, and there was money to be made in lap dances only. The classic thing happened where girls who were straight up ratchet started undercutting each other left and right and guys started going there only for sex as opposed to fun like St Venus. And then I understand that, although wasn't there, the cops came to a couple of locations which was enough to scare away the classier clientele who had something to lose. These girls are not dancers, although if you want to see the nastiest version of a lap dance you've ever seen in your life, go there, or if you customers want a $100 uncovered BJ or $200 all-inclusive or even just a free STD, you got it. Trust me these are not customer's you want in your club, be grateful!! They also deliberately planted this article to make it seem exclusive and interesting not because it actually is.
^Couldn't agree more. I tried there after it had started going downhill and heard it USED to be just lap dances only, but it got worse and worse. I wouldn't be surprised the article is there on purpose and it really isn't an interesting place like you said...the location I've been to looked like some kind of loft or small art studio. Also the guy who runs it rubbed me the wrong way, I noticed he would always go and harass any girls who were sitting to go talk to customers any time they happened to be sitting. Pimp mentality...give me a fucking break, I would rather go work at a real club and deal with less bullshit.
So a guy asked me about this place really early in my shift tonight and I got really irritated at how excited he was because he thought it was all mysterious and exciting. I tried to tell him that actually there is way more mystery and beautiful women at a regular club - that place is just a brothel on wheels trying to seem exciting because it's not in a goddam apartment. Then we got kinda into it over a drink or two and then he confesses that he likes extras but the going rate in the regular Manhattan clubs are too expensive. He told me there is pretty much a standard price for extras in Champagne rooms here and it's the same at all the top-tier clubs. He claims to get a bj for 200-300 on top of champagne room price pretty much any gown club. Or is that not cheap? I'm confused. I think if you play like that it has to really PAY to make it worth sucking some nasty sweaty dick in a badly lit room...ewwww. No? I am pretty shocked. I don't do extras and kinda wish no-one did, but I thought girls were at least making way more than that, rather than there being a low-ball Manhattan standard rate. Anyone else hear this or had girls give them the "prices"? I know a girl who said at (if I remember correctly) Hustler she was pulled aside by a girl she was about to go in a group room with and told "these are the prices" like the menu here. I am just kinda curious in general about this, not just related to Manhattan. Maybe I should post in the custie section lol...def guessing they might know.
Lots of Manhattan gown club dancers do extras simply hoping for a tip afterward. Those who secure $200-300 first are actually better than average businesswomen from what I've seen. Of course there are also "great" extras businesswomen who get a g up front and clean dancers who get a lot of tips too, although more frequently after the room is over. I've seen more than I've wanted to working in this city to be quite honest.
As far as underground clubs go, I've had the pleasure of talking to some of the dancers who like to go to legit clubs as customers. They typically emphasize how I just HAVE to try underground clubs.. they make $800 on a good night! Sure, the clientele expects a lot more.. but who could pass up $800 a night! LOL.
You gave him a great answer. I think he could've been lying about getting extras for a low ball price, to see if you may get desperate enough to take the bait. *sigh* PL.
BUT... at a club I use to work at, there's this "host" that would pimp his girls for just 100 dollars more on top of the standard rate. These girls would do everything, even raw anal! I've also witnessed stuff for just the standard price only, while I'm sitting there trying to block my customer's view. Ugh. Thank God my dude was a cool gentleman. Anyway...
That guy could've been lying, or telling the truth from experience.
Not trying to steer too far from the initial post, but while on the topic... Found it interesting to see a club review of flashdancers from April (I think?) stating that hosts are no longer allowed to accept money from dancers (lol1337a maybe you had posted the review now that I think of it? Sorry, I'm tired and don't want to spend more time
On SW) and thought this was awesome. Also that dance dollars aren't equal to less value than a $20 bill. I'm surprised as I know that FD has been one of the worst in the past as far as dancer's expenses...
But that being said, where I am the hosts won't help you unless you're one of the girls that tip them... And I noticed girls often go to rooms in a group, which I used to think was odd but now I'm realizing these girls prob all do extras so they're all on the same page with it... Gross.
Anyway, underground clubs, ugh, no thanks...

Yep, that was from my review of Flash. There are still groups of girls who work together in rooms there, and each little gang has their favored host, so obviously there's something going on. And unfortunately there are very few high cut private rooms so it's a race to get there before some clique does. But the good news is that if you get there first and hustle, you can stay in there all night and keep 100% of your profits. The only way to tip a host is to leave your own money under a champagne glass, and even then they'll return it to you if they get the sense it wasn't from the customer. This happened to me once; the hostess thanked the customer for the extra tip, and when he said he had no idea what she was saying, she handed it back to me.
Yeah, I remember that, like 3 actual private rooms (well 2, one split in half)... That's almost shocking to me based on my experience there in the past... What happened to inforce these new rules? I've considered going back there but I'm doing pretty well at the club I'm at now, and I couldn't stand that teeny dressing room and the scheduling...
I know exactly what you're talking about. When I first started in a Manhattan club I was naive and told a couple of hosts I would tip well but don't do extras. Never saw a room from their help. Now I never bother with a host any city I go because they're usually shady as fuck everywhere and I don't want to risk finding out.
I've seen those groups you've described. They'll work in these groups of like six or seven girls. Yeah, they're usually doing something. I was pulled into one of these little groups and really regretted it. Thank god I don't work in that city anymore.
