Watts / Lumens Conversion for Lighting
Disclaimer: I know that watts is not the proper way to measure light and there are a ton of other factors like color temp and cri but people have watts in their heads and will be using it for a while, so maybe it will help to gauge how much light you are getting until Lumens is burned into everyone's brain as a standard. I only use this to get into a range and go from there. If I am incorrect by all means let me know so I can correct it. Maybe it is already mentioned on here so sorry if it has. It's very confusing for newer girls especially.
The only reference most people have is the 100 watt light bulb which has watts on it but many LED lights use Lumens to measure light. It might have both and it's like wtf?

So you got an lcd panel with 3000 lumen and you are wondering how bright it is. You get lucky and it has the wattage. If it is only 50 watts you think, that's not very bright right? Well it's more like a 200 watt incandescent bulb. So when I see something like below I can sort of get an idea of how bright it is but I also have to remember that an incandescent lightbulb spreads it's lumen in all directions whereas an LCD panel is in one direction. (Those damn details again.)
The LED Panel below is like 600 watts, 200 watts, and 100 watts.
1200 LED / Light intensity: 1m :9500 lux, 2m :3300 lux 3m :1600 lux
