help! I think customer is following me
Customer went to go see me at work yesterday. He told me he needed to be at work at 8 am. We live in different towns. He lives about 15 minutes, not totally far but not to where I should bump into him like it happened.
I dropped off my son at school, and had all my cash from work so I stopped at the bank closest to my house. This weird was RIGHT THERE!!!!! He wouldn't fckng leave. Finally he drove away and I ducked pretending to look for something... this was at 7:59
Second concern, I live in an upscale apartment, no break ins. My car was broken into a few months ago. It was interesting because my husband has a much nicer car, had a laptop in the front seat for work, and another laptop in the back for school. He leaves his work phone in the car, so that was there too, along with fancy sunglasses. My car is pretty messed up. I had NOTHING worthy of stealing. Only my purse, which is always empty was stolen. My ID was in there but nothing else. Husband and I thought it was strange but whatever.
I have had this regular visit me for many months. I text him this morning
Morning! Im headed to the police station. I have someone following me and I don't take that shit likely. Also, I know who broke into my car, I just need to give the police the suspect description, so my neighbor can identify him. =)
I fckng hope and pray he didnt see me drop off my baby =( or knows where my husband works =(
Sorry for long post. Im freaking out right now. I don't want to go to the police yet because I can't prove he was following me.
Re: help! I think customer is following me
You should tell the police your suspicions, anyway. Even if you can't prove it, at least you'll be on record having said something in case things get more intense in the future.
I'm sorry this happened to you. I hate when regulars go all stalkerish. :(

Re: help! I think customer is following me
Shit, I'm sorry this has happened to you. :(
I had a regular follow me home a few years ago and it freaked me the fuck out. I got him banned from the club, but that made it worse because he would just stand outside my house instead. I've had a different regular get a private investigator to follow me as well.
I agree that you should tell the police. That way if you see him following you again there's already a record of it.
Re: help! I think customer is following me
Agreed, get started documenting things, even on the off chance that you're correct abt being followed but have the wrong guy pinned for it.
Re: help! I think customer is following me
Can you ask the club to give you a screen capture image of the suspected stalker from the surveillance camera? I know you might not want to tell them but if this stalker has gone this far already...well it's already pretty bad. They might be able to ID him for you & the neighbor might be able to confirm who it is.
Good luck, please update...

PinkiePie how disturbing. Someone paid a PI to follow you...Jeebus, the things customers do never stop amazing me...
Re: help! I think customer is following me
Who are the scariest people you know? It may be worth it to hire someone to threaten him. It worked for me once.
Re: help! I think customer is following me
This is scary, how did he get all the info on you? Reading these stories make me realize how lucky I was dancing in the pre social media world. Sure, back then there was the internet but not developed like it is now where they can find everything. A dancer I worked with had a guy follow her to her apartment and climb through her window and another was hidden in her car until the bouncer found him but they were rare cases.
Be very careful with everything you do. This isn't dancing related but recently had a bunch of guys find out my info from my photo on a dating site. If you have a Facebook with your dancing name make sure it has no links to your real info. At the club have a bouncer walk you to your car and make sure no one is following. I did once have someone follow me and I took a variety of roads and lost him.

Unfortunately, these days, it's all too easy for an obsessed customer to snap a 'stealth' pic ... and then run a facial recognition search for matching social media / online news media / dating site / other images posted on the net ... to turn up 'real life' info. This essentially condenses thousands of dollars in private investigator fees and weeks worth of 'digging' down to a hundred dollars for a pen-cam / keychain-cam and a couple of hours worth of facial recognition search time.
Re: help! I think customer is following me
I hope he stays away. I mentioned I was onto someone following me, and that I was taking it to the police. Too bad he only knows my stripper persona, and dsnt really know I am not one to be fckd with. If I see him again, I will personally fuck him up. Im sick of these ppl thinking they can just intrude. Hopefully hes gone for good but im cutting communication with him entirely.
I sent him this right now
I went to the police. Thankfully I have all the information on this guy. If I see him again, I call the police and he will be arrested for harassment, and then, when the investigation is completed, for other charges I hope.
The scaring him won't work. He's pretty harmless, or seems harmless. He's more on the creepy stalker side lol Hopefully he stops =( now Im all paranoid. I suspect he's in love with me. Im not going to invite him to the club anymore and if he comes in ill ignore him. That text I sent this morning will be the last form of contact.
I just hate the idea of my personal life being forcefully mixed with my work life. It's like, fuck off. My husband dsnt know, and I don't want to tell him, he'll suggest I stop working as well as go to the police =(
Re: help! I think customer is following me
Ugh! You can get a restraining order on him right? I think the best way to handle these people is to confront them. I've only dealt with one creeper who called me (no idea how he got my # to this day), left a voice mail (calling me by my dancer name) and threatened to rape me. He called from two different numbers. I called him back, told him i was reporting him to the police and then called all of my friends, told them what happened and gave out his #s. He was harassed for about a week by my stripper friends, boyfriend and guy friends before he had to cancel both phone lines. Everyone was telling him they would track him down and beat his ass, calling him in the middle of the night and all hours of the day. It was hilarious. You stalk me? I STALK YOU!!!

I had a car dealer track me down after I changed my cell phone number (he must have paid Intelius to give him the new one, I was totally shocked to hear from him more than a year after I went & bought a car from someone else, not him.) Thank God he never called back.
OP I'm guessing that the guy either wants to steal you panties or unfortuntely do more. A LOT of violent offenders come off as inoffensive/meek until they have a chance to strike at a target (opportunism.) In my opinion it's partially an act & partially an effort to still earn the target's trust or favor.
One of my ex-sugardaddies acted very mild and meek until he accepted that we had no future together...then after that he was scaring people by saying crazy violent things about me! Just proof that he was a creepy creep all along.

Laws vary by states but in some PIs can face legal prosecution if they offer services to people with restraining orders against them or with stalking/violent criminal history.
