Getting my mind right...little bit of a book
For the longest time, I was always a top earner in the past few clubs Ive worked in....I have worked at my current club for almost a year and im finding that the club dynamics just arent the same anymore...i went on vacation in August ( i really needed it after a really shitty year personally) and when I came back, it was like in less then a month things DRASTICALLY changed at my club...
. Reason being is that the majority of the girls that i started working with have all either quit or got fired and a whole new slew of new younger "dirty" girls have started working there and my hustle isnt doing it anymore....Im older, more experienced (im 38 but look like im 25, as told by a lot of the guys coming in and have been dancing off and on for 13 years)...Im also finding that a lot of the guys coming in now are the guys that look straight through me...black guys, mexicans that are only looking for sex (we get that A LOT in my club) and the young thug type guys that only pay to get in the door and sit drinking water (were BYOB)...Ive used a lot of the tips on here in Hustle Hut to make my money but since the dynamics of the club have changed, its really fucked with my money making....
Ive looked into other clubs, have auditioned at a bunch of them but always got the "we're full of girls right now, we'll see where we can fit you in" line (which ALWAYS mean, we dont like you, but we'll make you think we do by dangling the "well call you" line in front of you)...
Im very fit, have a really good personality and Im beautiful and can carry conversations quite well..I changed my look slightly to match my "personality" at work (my name is Shadow at work and i have a kinda goth-y, vampire-y kinda persona, which matches with the clubs theme...I went from having red hair to black)...
Im beginning to wonder if my time in dancing is up. Im starting real estate school on Monday and Im wondering if my mind is more geared to getting OUT of dancing then keeping my mind IN the club then wondering about the jobs ill (hopefully) get out of real estate school...
What can i do to get my mind back into the club and dealing with me douchenuggets that come in??
In addition to the guys i mentioned coming in now, my regulars have started dropping off too...ive never been able to keep regulars for more then a few months time...And also, a lot of the regulars coming in makes me feel like its the SAME guys coming in over and over aside from the new douchenuggets coming in...
Im sorry if this seems all over the place but thats kinda where my mind is at the moment...
Ive scoured through the hustle hut lists and gone through the "helpful things" post...but i think ive exhausted all of the tips in there because like i said, most of the guys that come into my club are either the same guys over and over or the new douchenuggety guys i mentioned above...
HELP!!!!!!!!!!
Should I really try to find a new club or should i quit all together?
Re: Getting my mind right...little bit of a book
Depending on where you live, the clubs may just all be getting dirtier and unless you're willing to do extras, it may be time to phase out of it. :/ I'm already looking into alternate career paths for myself and would like to phase out within 3-5 years (I'm 28.) The club I'm at now is Okay, but it's basically impossible to sell a VIP room or CR unless you provide extras so my potential for making more than $400 a night is limited. I make ALL my money doing regular LDs. I can only imagine it's going to get worse before it gets better. Maybe eventually the governments will pay attention to all the prostitution gong on in SCs nowadays but it seems like, for now, they've turned a blind eye.
I suggest you learn a skill-whether real estate sales or whatever-and plan to get out in a realistic time frame. You could start your own business or start selling real estate and still dance here and there as needed. That's what I would like to do. A lot of clean dancers are quitting or getting second jobs all over the US because of extras overrunning SCs. It really sucks for us. As for now I still make as much as I need for bills and so forth, but I've already noticed a decline in my earnings from just 3 years ago...and I know I don't look that different and my hustle is even more fine tuned than it used to be.. I'm just not willing to fuck in the CR. :(

Agreed w/ the above. In a nutshell, you apparently no longer appeal to the main clientele of your club/area. There are a few on here who spout the 'stop blaming the economy/extras girls/ whatever bc you're the problem' bs -- fact is, in sp areas, trying to do well as a clean dancer is like putting up a donut table in a room full of diabetics. It sounds like that's the situation you're dealing w/. I would bide your time dancing, maybe travel a bit if possible, while you develop/expand your skill set to make your living in the vanilla world.

I agree with this so much. Thank you for posting this!
Re: Getting my mind right...little bit of a book
The only thing I can think of to suggest is that you change your look a bit. I rarely see black/Mexican guys go for "gothy" type girls.
But I agree, it is very hard to make bank as a clean dancer now, and a backup/phase-out plan is always in the back of my mind. I only plan to be in the industry another 2 years tops.
Re: Getting my mind right...little bit of a book
Get yourself to a club in a wealthy zip code and work the day shift. I'm also an older dancer and do fine with the guys over 50 years old. But those guys won't come to clubs with a young/thuggish clientele.
Also, you may want to lose the gothy style to attract this kind of customer. I have a "Real Housewives" style esthetic and that seems to work well with this older, wealthier clientele.
Re: Getting my mind right...little bit of a book
I agree with Tourdefranzia! I have tried a "gothy" look before and made less. I make the most when I try and look "expensive" with rhinestone-laden shoes, shiny (fake but expensive looking) jewelry and a simple matching triangle top (or VS bra) and thong. I keep my outfits simple and classy with no fishnets or anything like that. That's just me but maybe try switching up your outfits and see if that works!!
Re: Getting my mind right...little bit of a book
Have you tried changing your look? The goth girls at my club have a loyal biker following, but don't make anything at all money-wise.
Edited to add: There's a blonde milf at my club whose body is sooo bangin' and she makes bank, she just goes with the sexy VS model vibe and always wears cute bra and panty sets w stockings. She's always one of the top earners, so it's not your age.
In my personal opinion, (and I'm not bashing you, I'm not sure how you look so I can't say), the goth look is outdated and attracts the wrong crowd if you're wanting to make money. A lot of guys are just scared of it.
Re: Getting my mind right...little bit of a book
I was the only "goth" like dancer at my club, but changed my appearance within my first month there. My first two weeks were epic fail, but as soon as I switched to UV clothing (my club is a dive style with blacklights everywhere and small, dim lighting) and changed my personality (from goth to bubbly) I began to bank.
I support your back up plan, but don't give up dancing yet - just try changing your appearance for a few weeks. It's hard to change personalities as well, but guys want the bubbly stereotypical "stupid girls".
