Stretch marks
Sorry I know this has probably been asked a lot but how big of a deal are stretch marks? My body is okay I used to be 170 now I'm down to about 140 and I'm 5'7 I have stretch marks on both of my sides they aren't too dark though I'm African American but I have a mixed persons complexion and my stretch mark are only maybe a couple shades darker than I am I was wondering could I work at a more high end club or do I have to stick with dives ? Do any of you have stretch marks ? And do u think they affect the money you make ..will a higher end club realize that not all women are size 2 with no imperfections and give me a chance I'm not shy about my body really I still think I'm sexy ...and besides what everyone thinks is sexy varies but one thing I think is universally sexy is confidence and I have that I'm just wondering if others ppl will feel the same

Re: Stretch marks
No stretch marks aren't a big deal, but not all people will agree on your idealistic philosophy. I just got called "fat" and fired at Stiletto in Atlantic City at a size 3. Nobody is immune.
I'm covered in stretch marks and minus the AC incident they're not that big of a hindrance. I have noted that the more fit I get, the more pronounced they are. I'll take being fit with stretch marks any day.
I'd recommend Palmer's and olive oil.
It also depends on how toned you are for the higher end clubs. If your stretch marks are the only issue then I don't think you should shy away from high end.

Re: Stretch marks
You never know until you audition. Some clubs are pickier than others, but club lighting in general is very forgiving about things like stretch marks. I say, try out your ideal club first and if they say no, work your way down. No sense in starting at a bottom if you might be able to work somewhere decent.

Re: Stretch marks
My mid tier club didn't bat an eyelid and I have them all over my hips and tummy from losing weight. It used to bother me though so I used Sally hansen airbrush legs on them and nobody ever mentioned them.

Re: Stretch marks
I have some on my stomach. No one ever comments. Im super pale. Fake tan and moisturer help.
Im the one who lives in my body. I take care of it for me. That way whatever ppl say is ignored unless useful.

Re: Stretch marks
I'm consistently a top earner every night and my stomach is covered in stretch marks and I have a little saggy skin on the lower part of my tummy. I was scared to dance with stretch marks too but it honestly hasn't affected my earnings. My body is nice but by far is not the nicest in my club and I consistently do better than girls who I would kill to have their bodies (perfect tummies, fake boobs, ugh so jealous lol). It seems crazy as a stripperr but it really is a lot about personality. I try to act really friendly and classy. Also, wearing really quality makeup helps me. My body might not be the best but my face is always on point. Nice makeup won't fade or smear. My point is there are so many other aspects you can focus on and have be your strong points, and nobody will think twice about your stretch marks. I actually probably have the worst stretch marks I have seen in my club, but I always rock them with confidence and wear a 2 piece anyways cause that's what I feel sexy in. Before dancing I wouldn't even wear a bikini to the beach. Now I accept they are a part of me. You will be surprised, dancing with stretch marks will probably raise your sel confidence about your body. I know it did for me!
