I don't have much to contribute, because you said you had breakfast covered and that's the meal I eat before I cam usually. But a good go to breakfast for me that's quick is just scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese. I know, it's uninspiring lol. I usually don't even eat breakfast food though. I eat heavier, dinner type food. I'll do Hamburger Helper and all kinds of crazy stuff for breakfast.
I second the baked potato- I have one of those microwave potato things and they're awesome. 5 minutes plus cheese, bacon, and sour cream and it's a party in your mouth lol.
YES!! The incredible edible egg!! Boiled eggs are a good protein source (and I think a lot of good B vitamins too)--love scrambling up eggs and throwing in some chopped ham or maybe some cheese. Boiled eggs are pretty easy for me--about 15 minutes and you can refrigerate for later. I used to not know exactly how to make them, turns out I'm not so good at boiling water even some days LOL
Fill pot with water, put X number of eggs in the pot,
Turn the eye-thingy on your stove to med-high then high when it starts to really heat up (steam and churning water)
Let the water start boiling, then cover and turn back to med-high.
Let simmer at med-high for about 15 minutes.
I get so ridiculous when I try to cook, this is about the only way my head can remember even the most simple recipes--that's why I just write it out the way it happens. For years I would let the water start boiling first--no bueno. Eggs are awesome, breakfast food is always great.

Smaddy that chili recipe sounds sooo good gonna try it today! Also I hate cooking as well. I usually just eat fish (salmon and tilapia) and vegetables everyday I work, since i can make it in 20 mins then return back to camming & plus it keeps me in shape. However, I do make a big meal on Sunday so hearing some more crock pot recipes would be awesome.

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Ah this thread will be my bible once I start full time camming :D the one thing I know I will struggle with is eating regularly. Any tips for this?

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
I like to not eat when on cam.. mostly, a smoothie drink or fruit.. like shakeology etc etc.... but today I had a tuna salad sandwich on pumperknickle /rye cut into bite size pieces and slice apples.. the reason I don't like to eat on cam is because it slows down your digestion and makes me even MORE tired.. but I cook and love to.. last nite I made chicken alfredo.. put some chicken breasts in the oven with a lil seasoning on 450 or 500 for 20 mins.. voila.. easy peasy.. surprisingly juicy... usually i'll stick it in a pot filled with sauce on 325 for an hour but I am liking this new way.. I used my crock pot a few times but what comes out hasn't been happening to me...LOL.. it's easy to make fish too.. just put in oven with lemon juice and salt and pepper for 15 mins on 425 not hard at all.. micro some veggies and rice.

Ok, well I don't cook so..anyway avacadoes I love too, as a snack. Rice I love..Are you by Trader Joe's? They have these great, gluten free frozen pancakes, not a lot sugar. You can eat them plain, or w/anything really

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Awesome! Let me know what you think of it. As for the beer/beef stock I usually just start adding both until I get the consistency I like. How it looks in the pot after you add everything and before you turn the stove on is a lot thicker than it will be.

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
I used to hate cooking but now I love it (partially due to being the control freak I have become), being able to cook healthy meals instead of food in a box/can is so much healthier, and a lot of the time, costs less and takes minimal time.
Breaffasts:
Definitely pre-cook a batch of 5-7 hard boiled eggs. Eat one a day for breaffast with a piece of toast/fruit/juice/yogurt.
I have never been much of a breaffast eater myself, but in the past few years notice a huge difference in my general mood and energy levels. My favorite easy breaffast besides the eggs? SMOOVIES!
My infamous smoovie recipe:
1 thingy of yogurt, choose a flavor that will go with your fruit such as raspberry yogurt to use with raspberries, banana yogurt with bananas, etc.
1 banana (or a cup of your fruit of choice)
1/2 cup Ice
Splash o Milk or vanilla creamer
1-2 scoops of whey or soy protein (depends on personal preference) I use this because it is filling and gives me a lot of energy) I use chocolate flavored with banana smoothies, and I use vanilla with other flavors like blueberry, pineapple, etc.
Blender
Add ice to your blender first, then milk, then yogurt, then fruit. I notice if you add yogurt first, blender gets stuck more and doesn't thoroughly blend. Blend on high for 30 seconds to a minute.
For lunch: I notice when I do eat or drink my breaffast, I get HUNGRY faster. For lunch, to keep it simple and easy, I always use leftovers...either previously frozen, or from dinner the night before. This keeps it simple and healthy! Or you can make an egg salad with some of the eggs, a tuna salad to use for the week, a chicken salad out of leftover chicken, and the list goes on!
7 Easy Dinners that are healthy....I have many more recipes but these are all simple and easy!
1) Pizza Bagels. Get bagels, sauce (can use spaghetti sauce), cheese and whatever toppings you like. Spread sauce on bagels, add cheese and toppings. Oven to 350 degrees, give em about 10 mins or until cheese is melted. Fucking good and you will never want to order a pizza again. I have tried all different kinds of cheeses, but my favorite to use is the cheap generic part skim low moisture already shredded cheese. To keep healthier, use a lot of veggies, spinach, mushrooms, tomato, onion to name a few. You can make extras, freeze em and save them for later too!
2) Black Bean/Pinto Bean Tacos: Make all of your taco fixins, lettuce, cheese, salsa, tomatoes, taco shells. 1 can of pinto or black beans on stovetop. Heat up for 7-10 mins. Fill taco with beans. Top with your favorite toppings. If you are in the mood for a fiesta, you can always make some Spainish rice as well. Delicious, cheap, healthy and can be vegan....and you will never want to go to taco bell or eat those microwave taquitos again!
3) Crock Pot Stew. 1 Package of pork or beef stew meat, carrots, celery, onion and potatoes. Lipton onion soup packet. Add meat to crok pot, top with lipton soup packet, add a little water, I usually use 1/2 cup for a thick stew. Put vegetables on top...Cook 10 hours on low. High also works but the meat tends to get a little dry, still edible though.
4) Crock Pot Whole Chicken...one of my favorites but you have to get down and dirty, it is worth it though. Skin chicken aka remove the skin from the chicken, (That is the down and dirty part. Can be kinda nasty your first time but believe, tis worth it), season with garlic and seasoning salt or whatever floats your boat. Wrap 4 whole potatoes in aluminum foil. Place in crok pot first. Place whole seasoned chicken on top. Cook for 6 hours on high. This is so fucking good. Lots of leftovers to make soup, sandwiches, eat for a few days or freeze for later.
5) Crock Pot Beef Stroggi I also use beef stew meat for this recipe, it is already chopped and ready to go. Place beef in crock pot. Season with garlic, onion powder. Slice up some onions, toss em in. 1/2 cup of beef broth or make some bouillon cubes. Cook on low for 10 hours, within an hour of being done, add 1/2 cup sour cream. To thicken, stir in a lil flour. I cook up some egg noodles or rice with this dish, and tend to add it to the crock pot within an hour of it being done, to soak in the juices. MMMMMM.
6) Oven baked Pork Tenderlion Medallions and baked potatoes. This one rocks too. First and foremost, stab those potatoes good so they get done on time. Set oven to 350 degrees and put them in the oven immediately as you prepare the rest of your meal. Marinade pork tenderlion overnight in Italian dressing, or as long as you can. The longer it marinades, the better it comes out! Place on baking dish, toss it in the oven with the potatoes. Bake about 45 minutes. Pork is done when the outside is no longer pink, cooking times do vary depending on the size of the tenderlion. Slice into little medallions so it looks all gourmet n shit. Works with many other marinades, another favorite of mine is lemon pepper.
7) Chicken and Rice. Get a glass dish and fill it with one cup of rice, and about 1 cup of chicken broth. Usually rice calls for one cup of rice to two cups of water, but in this recipe it comes out watery because the chicken and veggies add moisture to the dish while cooking, so do not be alarmed. Add 4 boneless skinless breasts, pre-season them if you would like. Chop up your favorite veggies, good ones for this dish include carrots, celery, broccoli or asparagus (yum) add the veggies to the top of the dish. COVER with aluminum foil, if uncovered the rice will not cook up right. Into the oven at 400 degrees for about 35-40 mins. Poke a breast (lol) and or cut open to make sure the chick tits are done. Good to go.
To make cooking easier, look for recipes that are labeled one pot meals. You will notice all of my recipes above typically only dirty a few dishes. This is because with me, and with many professional chefs, the simpler the better. Recipes do not have to be all complicated to come out good, as you can see above. I love cooking, but I am a lazy cook as I call myself, I like to keep it simple, basic, homemade with few ingredients. I always make grocery lists and plan on cooking up meals that I can use as leftovers for lunch or freeze for later. This helps you maintain a budget and will cost way less money in the longrun.
I always get fresh fruits/veggies once a week...the key is to get them all at once, come home and prepare them for cooking or eating. You are more likely to eat your greens if they are already ready to go. This entails a lot of chopping at once, but when you make one of the above dishes, there is little to no prep involved. I do not pre cut certain veggies, just make sure they are washed before they go into the crisper. Sometimes I will seperate the celery for example, chop up some into smaller pieces, while leaving others whole. I would suggest to just core the lettuce, instead of chopping to avoid rusting. I hope you all enjoy the above recipes....it took a lot of time for me to find my inner chef, mainly because I thought cooking had to be complicated, but it doesn't...it can be the complete opposite. INVITES all of you over for dinner at my place tonight :)

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
And how could I dare forget this superfood: Artichokes. I usually do a half steam/boil on mine...they are so delish, easy, and filling. Wash artichoke, cut stem low. Place in pot. Add water to about 1/4 a way up the arti. Place lid on pot. Bring to boil and simmer about 45 mins. These can be an expensive habit, but I find them at the 99cent store oddly enough. Make a butter sauce to dip the leaves and eat with the heart by melting 2 tablespoon butter in microwave. Add salt, pepper, garlic and or lemon to it. BOMBDOTCOM

Oh boy this thread will be useful when I don't feel like cooking. I grew up watching Food Network though so I'm always cooking. I'll take the extra hour to make real marinara, Alfredo sauce, or pizza dough. Every time. It's completely worth it to me! But I do have one thing to contribute to this thread: Rachael Ray's Chicken in a Sack recipe. Boom. She also makes an awesome fish version of this and when you put your mind to it you can substitute a lot of these things if you want to go for different worlds of flavors :)

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Oh my gosh, I can't believe a bunch of grown women struggle to know what to eat!
Well, this is a typical say for me:
Breakfast - the most important meal of the day. Either I make a smoothie with juices, fruits, flaxseed and yoghurt, or I make some porridge. Porridge is just rolled oats with milk heated up, and then I stir in some fruits and honey. I have either some with peppermint tea and I'm full up.
I snack on grapes, carrot sticks and dates throughout the morning.
Lunch - I try to be quick and have either a salad with fresh fish and plenty of seeds, or maybe a spinach omlette with some side salad. Either way I make a huge salad and have that. Cucumber, peppers, leaves, radishes, carrots, beans, onions... anything.
Dinner - I have a home cooked meal every night as I promise my boyfriend to sit with him for at least an hour before getting back to work. We're healthy so maybe some baked fish with rice and roasted vegetables, or baked potatoes with salad, or prawn curry with breads.
I snack throughout the day on yoghurt, fruit (fresh, canned and dried) and nuts. I keep chocolate in the house because I love it.
I don't have many recipes to hand as I print them out and stick them in a notebook of mine, as I find ingredients I like then google recipes for them.

Basically, buy your groceries and spend the day prepping, cooking & freezing meals ahead of time, so that for the next few weeks all you have to do is pull something out of the freezer to defrost. I've only done this once so far, it took me all day to cook & prepare everything but we probably got 3 weeks+ worth of dinners out of it, and of course you save tons of $$ in the process! (Oh, but it did cost me WAY more than $95, lol...)

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
When I was working extreme hours, I would just use a meal delivery service. I used healthy chef creations, their organic, but Im sure their are a of ton others.
Its very simple, you pick what you want to eat or you follow a custom meal plan for your needs (like if you 99 and want to climb mountains) and they deliver it fresh every day at what ever time of the day you tell them.
I ordered like a years worth on groupons for then at 235 a month, so always check their first.

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
IDK how some of you girls can go without eating meat and not being ravenous or overweight! I salute you. So, I like, live on soups. I am on an extreme diet right now and this is my go-to meal: Low Sodium Vegetable Broth from Trader Joe's, mixed with cabbage and pre-cut veggies from same store, simmered on stove....then pour in 96% lean ground beef and put a lot of hot sauce in it. Lol. Voila!!!
*Oh, I also wanted to add that for snacks, mixing complex carbs and proteins is pretty important to actually feel full. Balance an apple with almonds and vice versa, celery with peanut butter, etc. That is why some people will eat just one or the other "healthy" item as a snack, but not be fully satisfied.....get those complex carbs plus protein in each snack. It really makes a world of difference. :)

KAY:
Search quick meals on a budget. That's what I do! Then I'll tailor them to my tastes. Theres also this kind of awesome site called supercook where you plug in the ingedients you have and it gives you recipes you can make as well as recipes you COULD make with like another ingredient and so on. Pretty rad for budgeting and trying to make every peice of food count!
As for time? I would def suggest prep work. Pick a day in your week [maybe after you get groceries?] and do your prep work so it's ulta easy to cook thru the week. Like chop up your veggies or meats and store portion out the grains you'll need for recipes laster that week. That kinda jazz! Shouldn't take very long. That way when you want to eat it'll be ready even faster! BOOM!!! You could alos extend your prep time and pre cook meals that you can freeze in portions. [lots of stuff freezes really well!] When I'm hardcore budget planning I do 3 meals that I can freeze and eat them switiching it up thru the week. You can also just pre cook your grains if you don't ave time to pre cook entire meals and that will also cut on time spent when you want food!
Organization is key for quick healthy meal planning. And keep it as simple as you can!
I used to plan allll my meals when I was doing a hardcore vegan gluten free diet. Slacked off a bit cos the stress of eating healthy was sort of negating the health benefits! I find I eat best and am the least stressed out when i put some planning into my meals but not like INSANE amounts [i was attempting to plan meals weeks in advice like a dolt!] Planning a week to two weeks ahead is a pretty good amount of planning ahead. It should also make budgeting easier too!
Make sure you mix it up a lot. It's easy to get redundant with meal planning and if you do that you'll get bored of eating the food you're making and start eating unhealthy snacks again [boo!] Sub out your grains and vegetables where you can for variety. There is also a LOT of saving when it comes to bulk buying. When I was really in the swing of things with meal planning I was saving tons getting my grains in bulk as well as other things I knew I would need and use for many recipes. The more you cook for yourself the more accustomed you'll be to what you use most. Then you can save more and buy bulk! Whee!
Hope that was helpful..it as certainly wordy...><

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Man this thread makes me feel super unhealthy lol
My cam snacks never go further than crisps, chocolate, cakes and dairylea cheese dunkers :O
I usually won't cam till at least 2-3pm ish so I have my breakfast, lunch cam then come off for dinner then back on for the night.
I know I should be doing cam full time though but when I do start I will just have breakfast, start my days work and then have 1 hour lunch break and 2 hour dinner break.

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Reporting back.. I went food shopping yesterday, and took my list with me and bought most of what has been mentioned on here from a few days ago, to start. All except for the hearts of palm and tahini sauce. Ralph's didn't have it. Weird.
As far as the meal delivery system... I used to do that a long time ago. I used a couple of companies. It was pretty great, so thanks for the remind. The main thing is the 'time' they deliver. If I can set it up like that, then I will. The last companies I used were delivering at random times, which never works for me.
I eat meat, am not on a diet (gave up on that a long time ago!).
I'm hypoglycemic, so I have to force myself to eat every 3 hours. That's why at those times I would want to eat something healthy so my energy stays up.
If the weather ever cools down around here, I'm going to be having soup, because I really love all kinds.
Thanks for all suggestions! Keep em' coming!:-*

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
For snacks I love Stacy's pita chips and Sabra garlic hummus. I also love broccoli and ranch dip, bottled water for hydration, and a few other snacks.
What's worked for me in the past is to take one day off to do all of your shopping and cooking. This is usually a Sunday. Just head to the grocery store, come home and cook ALL of your meals for the week and store them in air tight containers. Freeze or refrigerate the rest and come weeks end you'll be glad you did. Nothing feels better than to have lunch and dinner all ready for you on your cam breaks and all you have to do is pop it in the oven or microwave.
I love cooking but I get lazy and want to order in/out so this works for me when I need to stick to a budget and or eat healthier. I find that I tend to waste groceries if I don't cook and store them right away. JackAlexander also brought up an amazing idea. When those frozen (though fresh) meals no longer hit the spot and you want something super fresh, just throw in a quick crock-pot meal early and by dinner time you'll have something hot and ready. The internet is full of easy crock-pot meals. There's even a website that lists 365 crock-pot meals for every day.

I hear you. Aside from the burned food I mentioned above, cans of soup and wine are my camming food. Not meant to be a role-model

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Ok cool, I've got the eating bit down. how do you ladies incorporate that into camming though? Cos I know if i sit down for a 6 hours shift, I won't eat, even though I get super hungry and then hangry with my custies. I'm not a particularly sexy eater, nor do I currently have dudes with a feeder fetish.
I feel I can't turn off my cam for 20 mins though, cos what if a whale comes by? This is my permanent dilemma with regards to eating and camming...how do you girls handle this?

Suggestion: if you have a smartphone, get an app called BigOven. It has a LOT of recipes for lots of occasions and many are quite easy to cook!

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Simone, if you can't eat in the middle of a shift, you'll still be happy you have a pre-cooked meal you can pop into the microwave or oven after a shift. This is why I suggest cooking all your meals in one off day and freezing/refrigerating the rest. I know after a long shift I want to eat, relax, and or pass out and this helps me greatly.

If you have a C4S store, how about you film yourself eating? That's what I've done a few times, even if you get just a couple sales, it'll be worth it.

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Simone, That was one of the reasons I started this thread. I now just take a 15-20 minute break to eat, because my food is pre-made.
I also think, just from what I observe when I do this, that a whole new batch of guys pop in when I log back in.
YMMV, because I tend to have a lot of 'hanger ons' in my room, every time I cam, on each site.

Re: Meal & Snack Planning for the full-time Cam Girl??? Suggestions
Thanks so much for all the advice ladies :) definitely gonna film myself eating stuff from now on. Also thankfully when I'm on KL I can go on break which is awesome too, just realised that today lol
