Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
So I'm applying at a club next week and I'm really excited to start stripping. I had a goal in mind of 200 a night. Is that realistic for a girl who's starting out but is really attractive? (I honestly don't mean to sound conceited by that, I know customer service/hustling is x1000 more important; I just figure it's important to mention) I just really have no idea what I should be aiming for each night. I feel sort of stupid even asking this, to be honest. I've searched the forums, but what I've found is really old information.
So, would you say 200/night is possible?
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Depends on a lot of factors like location, if the club is consistent, not consistent etc. Sometimes you'll make a lot, other days you might make nothing. Some areas $200 and below is considered average, some areas that's considered bad. You'd have to try out the clubs in your area for a feel, or search the clubs you have in mind and see what other posters had to say about the earnings potentials.
I think it's doable most places, but some places are just bad where 100-200 is considered good.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Just read the really old info part of your post. Sometimes the older info is relevant, like I said just have to get a feel for the place because one place that's good for someone might not be good for the next person and vice versa.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
I usually set an initial goal of $200 for a wk day nite -- I am pretty shy by nature & tend to get easily discouraged, so a lower initial goal feels much more doable & thus causes me less stress. Anything after that is gravy & I will set newer, smaller goals like $50 or $100 after topping that initial $200 -- which is $200 after fees & whatnot. My initial goal on a wk end nite is typically around $300-$350.
But again, it depends on many factors -- location, shift, day of the wk, & various club-specific factors.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Possibly while you're "fresh meat". After awhile fresh meat starts to rot and you'll have to rely on something other than your looks unless you are in a complete shithole with busted up druggies and fatties. If you are then continue as usual. If you work at a place where everyone is attractive and has teeth like my "new" main club you better bring something to the table. I'm the only goth girl with a mohawk and XXL funbags.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
$200/night is definitely realistic in most places. Mind you, some clubs or dives really suck and you would be lucky to make $100 at places like that. But, on average, I would say $200 is doable!
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
You should work 2-3 weeks to know what is going to be realistic for your area. It usually takes at least a few shifts to figure out how a new club operates.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
It definitely depends on your club/area and on you personally. For me, I make around $150 on average (on non busy nights). I have dancer friends in other states and clubs who can bring in $1000s in a week. My club is a small dive bar full of regulars and theirs are high end gentle men's clubs. So it depends. Keep in mind Sundays and Mondays are obviously slower than later in the week. So experiment with different days.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Like what everyone else said, $200 is definitely doable. In the city I live in, $200 is considered a REALLY bad shift. Granted I live in a city where you can get a half decent room with like 5 room-mates for $1000 a month. But since you're attractive and understand how important hustling is, I think $200 is very reasonable and (for the most part) should have no problem obtaining that.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Yes, but depending on where you are $200 is very low so try to aim higher. Where are you?
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
This largely depends on the pricing structure of dances / upsell options in the club (determines earnings ceiling unique to each club), the number of shift hours you work, the number of fresh customers who come in and out of the club during a typical shift, and the number of total dancers working during a typical shift.
Other obvious determining factors are your base appearance, outfit & hair & makeup, sales skills, interpersonal skills, dancing skills, the club's location (is it filled with mostly regulars or tourists), whether the club is upscale or divey, whether the club is seasonal or not, etc.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
$200 seems low unless you are in a really small town or at a dive...
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Depends on what club you're at but IMO $200 is very feasible for a newbie to clear. Before I started dancing I had a lot of good 2nd hand info from women who'd danced in my city and decided not to get discouraged by what they said and set my goal for to average $400 a night - hey, it was substantially more than I was making as a waitress!
I've always been shy and having social anxiety so my first night although I have a sales-oriented mind, I was nervous and didn't talk to many people. I left with about $70 after tipout if I remember correctly. Didn't let it discourage me. I came back and made $340 a few shifts later, which gave me hope... and I worked my way up from there.
Now I make wayyy more than my initial goal of $400. :)
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Depends on where you live .I stay in a popular city so 200 a night here is bad but if you stay in a small town that's probably good
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
At my old club, which was a cheap ass Mexican dive, the money fluctuated so bad. Some nights, the top girls would only make 2 - 250. Some nights, we'd be making 1000+. I averaged 1- 200 on the weekdays, but I mostly worked weekends where my average would fluctuate from 200 - 700 depending on the crowd. It was kind of awful, but I eventually became one of the top earners.
Now, I'm at a new club with a better location and better clientele. On the week nights, I can expect to make 3 - 500+. On the weekends, I have seen girls make 1500+, though I haven't made that yet, but I know I soon will, because I am DETERMINED!!
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
$200.00 a night is really really low. If you cant make 500 a night you should consider something else for work!

That's kind of an extreme thing to say don't you think? $200 a night can still be a great amount for some. Personally I could never make that much a week while attending university so I'm ecstatic that I can make that much in one night.

You do realize that there are girls who are happy making $70 a night? You do realize that location, season, time of day, and your attitude all come into play when you are making money and NO ONE is guaranteed ONE DOLLAR, let alone $500+? If you are making $500 a night and have never had a night where you made a dollar less - which I highly doubt - then that's great for you, but you should perhaps travel around a bit and educate yourself before making comments like this.

You've been dancing for how long now? (according to posts a year) ::) Income varies from region to region. If you live in a $1500 a month apartment in NYC then yeah $200 a night is going to suck. In other places it's a king's ransom.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
$200 a night is good money where I dance, especially during the summer and the holidays. Some girls are that are thrilled to leave with $50.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
I work in a small city and for me, since I work 4-5 shifts a week, $200 or more nightly is great because I have low housing cost, I keep my living expenses low and I live close to my job so there isn't a lot of money being put into commute. $250 is my nightly goal and if I surpass it, awesome! Even during bad weeks if I at least make my goal nightly (some nights are off, everyone knows this), I'm walking out with a grand a week minimum. I live very comfortably because I live in an area that isn't expensive. One of the only perks of living in the Bible Belt.
Re: Is Goal of $200/Night realistic?
Depends on the club, my local club even had a pasties law which for South florida isn't common, and 200 on my day shifts was average for me weekdays, sat and Sunday always double that and double triple at nights. Everyone is different and it's how much you put in to it given the clubs rules, guidelines, and how you sell yourself, dances, vips, champagne rooms, etc. But you have good days and bad days don't get discouraged if it takes a while to get ur dependable customer base.
